Mad respect for translating this anime. It's my favorite manga and both it and the anime had a lot of text that contains jokes. Only an old school fansubs level of translating everything on screan can make it justice. Thank you very much for this!
People always tall about how much how a nightmare it is to translate the monogataro series but fail to mention the absolute insanity that zetsubou sensai. Its endless pop culture references and visual gags can drive any translator to despair.
As much as I deeply love this show and hope it will get a proper dub someday, I completely understand why it kind of can't. This illustrates it. You need a whole book of liner notes just to explain most of the gags, it's that dense of a show. STILL LOVE THIS SHOW THO CHIRI KITSU BEST GIRL
