With all the heat some "localizers" are taking lately, I always like to mention just how well y'all at Nozomi knocked it out of the park for a show we thought no one would ever touch for the same reason that the first season came with several hundred pages of liner notes. Keep fighting the good fight!
thanks for your hard work, guys! i'm excited for the release. i'm a little sad there won't be a physical book this time, but that's okay. i'm just happy to be able to understand the nuances that one ordinarily wouldn't. i actually wonder if the digital liner notes would be easier.
I'm so hype for season 2! I devoured all of dvd 1 while I had covid last year, and I can't wait to dig into season 2. In my opinion, while season 1 is great table setting, the seasons only get better from here.
The work you guys did for season 1 is phenomenal. I was so excited when I got my copy that I read the liner notes before I could even have a chance to watch the show. I'm looking forward to season 2. A question if you don't mind, of all the jokes and gags of season 2, which stands out as some of the crew's favorite to localize, or the hardest to localize?
Hmm... The hardest was probably episode 7, with the "jokes everyone's heard a million times". Most English speakers have never heard these jokes once, let alone a million times! As for favorite... It's not localization, per se, but the origin story of the Zetsubou-sensei Drawing Song still makes me laugh when I think about it. -J
Thank you for the awesome video~ I remember missing a few of the jokes when watching back in the day and never knew about the book, I guess it's time to procure one and rewatch Thank you for your hard work, Keep it up~ I hope everyone is having a lovely day, Have a wonderful rest of your week, Be safe and Take care out there wherever you are (^=W=^)7
will there be a way to stream this anime from season 1 onwards? i.e. with crunchyroll or other platforms? i would like to know! thank you so much for your hard work.
As of right now, Zetsubou-sensei isn't on a streaming platform. But that could change in the future! Stay tuned to the Nozomi and Right Stuf Anime social media channels, any announcements would be made there!

This is definitely one of the more unique series that has a lot of cultural references.

What is the fate of Nozomi since Right Stuf and Crunchyroll merged? Is there going to be a release of season 3?

@@nozomient Thanks.
No physical book this time? Bummer.
Nozomi is a Sony company. They do not care.
Thank you for bringing Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (legally) to the western world! And the massive reference books
I'm the first one to comment baby, Hell Yeah
