I am middle aged and I also feel lonely as my daughter is grownup and doesn't need me that much. So recently I have started teaching for an NGO organization and I am feeling great to be with young kids again and teaching them. It has given me a purpose and immense pleasure as you meet lot of fellow teachers as well. Hope to continue with this as long as I can.

Even I was in the same position like you but by God's grace I have great friends who are with me since when we were teenager.I am 65 years old and we still enjoy our friendship, though we don't meet personally but get connected through phone calls.Secondly I started taking more interest in cooking, trying new new dishes and which gives me happiness and also keep myself engaged.

I lost my husband six months ago. Though we both had accepted one of us will pass away first and the other will remain alone, his death has left me completely lonely in ways i never imagined. My daughters, friends and grandson are around, yet it is difficult to forget his memories. I have seen friends going into depression in similar situation and that's the reason i kept myself from drowning into that dark sea of loneliness. I travel with friends, watch movies and of course explore cooking novelties. Your videos are really inspiring. I share my computer knowledge helping friends and to see their relief is a great joy

A very very beautiful vedio. Thank you so much for giving such a useful bytes for people who feel lonely like me. You have covered all those points to make a person feel that loneliness should never come their way. I am now 72 yrs old. As you told , immediately after retirement I started feeling very lonely. I had already lost my husband when I was 32 yrs. After his death as I was working and also I was busy looking after my only daughter who was only 13 yrs. at the time of his death, I didn't feel lonely.I started passing my time looking after my job and also my only daughter. After her marriage I was busy with her family and my grand daughters. As you told, when they grew older I started feeling that I am no longer needed in their lives. so again started feeling lonliness. But I came out of it by going to yoga classes. My all time passion was. travelling. I started going places with Sr.citizens. started with some Adyatmic classes like Narayaneeyam,Bhagavatham etc. Of late I am having some physical issues so not able to do lot of physical moments. But I started following online motivation classes, Cooking vedios. Try some of them, gardening etc. And really it gives immense pleasure.

Very useful, a point to add in many cases, people have been left without any support from their relatives, societies, friends, families etc which has become very common nowadays especially when their parents are no more irrespective of the age..
I have been hearing and seen so many cases where these persons are cut-dead.
This leads to so many pressure and questioning of survival, whether working or non working, when they are abandoned then not only loneliness sometimes death to hit them.
That’s the pathetic condition of humans.

It becomes difficult to retain that cheer. Being a retired corporate executive, reminiscing about the incidents one has traversed through, gives both happiness and many incidents lead to unpleasantness and disappointment.
Walking is splendid. Just starting the day on a lovely note. Brightens up your spirits. Staying connected ,helps. Following one's passion is more possible today through WhatsApp groups. It was a very good talk and I loved it. Thank you Madam.

Thank you 🙏 I sometimes find it hard to ABC and that's the point when I quietly give myself some alone time and space to 're-charge'

So very true. I can relate to everything you said. I lost my masi who was more like my sister, and then my Mum. My son married and is busy with his small family. I felt very lonely 4 to 5 years ago to the point of depression. But thanks to prayers and my passion for cooking and of course reading, got me out. I am still recovering. I am also working full-time, though I don't enjoy it as much. But listening to you is great. Love your simple home cooking all the foods I live eating too.

Whenever you feel low, quickly pull yourself out of it by distracting yourself and the same time being busy . Why don't you spread the word around and start cooking for those around you who don't have the time it might make you feel better
