- In this video, I share an incredible story of one of my subscribers, David, who took a leap of faith, moved to a remote location in Minnesota, and started a successful manufacturing company building small wood stoves. Inspired by my videos, he now produces 1,500 wood stoves a year! He graciously sent me one of his stoves as a thank you, and I’m excited to unbox and install it.
The video opens with me unboxing this beautifully handcrafted, high-quality stove, which is far superior to the cheap, overseas-made stove we’ve been using. Our old stove was failing after only one winter, struggling with poor drafting and an inability to hold a fire for long. This new stove is a game-changer, and I can't wait to show you its superior craftsmanship and performance.
Join me as I:
Unbox this incredible gift from a talented subscriber
Compare it with our old, failing winter stove
Assemble the new stove, showcasing its CNC machined quality
Install the new stove in our tent and start a fire to test its performance
Reflect on the inspiring journey of starting a successful business and the impact our community can have on each other
In the end, I give a special thank you to David for building and sending this wonderful stove. We, the war band, will enjoy it immensely during our river dips and think of him every time it keeps us warm. Thank you very much, David.
Thank you to all my subscribers for being part of this journey. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more content like this!

Really nice stove, incredible craftsmanship, its a beauty. Lets all hope David now sells thousands of them and his business thrives.
There is so much cross over occurring now. Cody is learning about the smallhats using Revelations as a guide and now, the electric sun and approaching cataclysm as the sun is about to trigger another end of the age.
Yes the sun used to be yellow, now white. Prior in the past our original sun was saturn. And it went black as all the galactic circuit current went through Sol instead.
I've been a cinematographer for 20 years and indeed the light is changing. Awesome to hear you caught on to it too.
lol old eyes
Been noticing changes too.
@@upload00 this, probably
The light indeed does look different in our adult years versus our childhood, but it has an explanation. I don’t know the exact science behind it, but children see more yellow in light making everything appear more saturated.
@@875random4 That must be why the sky looked so much bluer (bluer ??🤔)
When I was a kid. Something I noticed a while back. I thought it must be something to do with pollution or chemtrails. But what you said actually makes more sense.
It's all the hairspray you use on your wigs that ate up the ozone layer that changed the sun.

Totally agree on cheap hardware. Having good quality hardware, and better than might be needed, makes me think so much more highly of a product.
Mr wranglerstar. I watched your videos on tiktok for a while, but I only recently found your UA-cam channel. I’m a young man (only 20) but me and my wife intend to homestead and build a home and family of our own. My father is a great man, but was a white collar “softer” person, and I value your videos so much for teaching me how to work with my hands and how to carry myself as a man. God bless you and your family. Always in my prayers.
Thank you beloved,
I was in your shoes 10 years ago and fondly inspired by Cody as well. Had the same plan too. It did not pan out due to my wife leaving me. Hold onto your family. Do not forsake them for all the world. Honor the Lord first and guard your heart and you family with fierce devotion. You can do it young Sir.
@@duck_rifle5879 thank you for your words of advice. I wouldn’t give her up for the world, but I know trying times come and nobody is immune. God bless you
Please do it and stick with it. I'm a white collar guy and while I've done quite well in that world, it's pretty empty in the end. Kind of wish I had chosen a different path when I was younger.
@semosancus5506 do some gardening. Perhaps see if you have a buddy that hunts. Those two things alone will get you outside and enjoying life much more. Jump into my friend, this mortal coil is short.

I'm nowhere near your age, but i do agree that the sun seems harsher than it did when i was in grade school.
1. older aged eyes. 2. More sugar in blood = heat is handled differently. 3. not going in the sun frequently will cause you to think the sun is hottter, a little sunburn keeps you cooler for months.
@@EricBarthDev I'm 26 and am outside at least 4 hours a day everyday. I can tell you that's it's brighter than it has been.
I feel the same. 34 and do not remember the sun being as harsh 10-20 yrs ago
You all seem so free over there in America and have so much space. I am really jealous because I live in the overcrowded and densely built Netherlands.
I'm fascinated by your polders.
We welcome more good people like you! There's plenty of room!
"Before cell phones and air pods, just had to raw dog it." LOL
I remember those days, but these days the only thing I raw dog is my wife
The simple mention about which ladder to buy first and why is why I love this channel. Practical.
It's called your eyes are getting old 😂😂😂
The sunlight is definitely brighter and more harsh than it was just 3 years ago.
It’s being done!
I don't care what those east coast guys say about you, give props to David and doing this was a class act. I hope he gets so busy building stuff, he needs to hire a team!
That was very nice of him Cody! Love the cabin! Thoughts and prayers to you and your family!
It's.
Nice to see an American made product like that. So impressive great workmanship, great guy.
A vane-type chimney cap is always recommended, especially wherever wind is an occasional issue. But for your camp-tent stove -- the basic is just right. I am 73, and haven't noticed a change in the light, and I tend to take note of the natural world around me, but at this point I'm enjoying the light as it is.
Have you had cataract surgery yet? It made a huge difference for me!
Your grandfather sound like an amazing man, I'm glad you got to spend those great moments with them and so on thank you so much for sharing those beautiful moments in time that you had with him. God bless you
A lovely stove! Very PR0h0!
Peter and Brian will be very happy to see that replacement in the tent!
Thank you David for your blessing of the awesome wood stove😊
I totally agree about the sun light.
You are so right about the quality of the hardware of a product. It can almost make or break that product. Very nice stove and it fits great!
You are going to love the minisplit. I have a 4 zone unit. I don't know how I lived without it.
I love mine. Comes in handy!
I have a garage shop in Texas. The walls are not insulated. I’m considering purchasing a mini split but foregoing the insulation and see how it keeps up with the climate. What type of conditions is your mini split working in? Thanks
@@jprz3837 in my garage back in Texas before we moved, we had I believe a 12K BTU model, Mitsubishi and top of the line. Insulated walls, garage door, and roof, and it just did manage to keep it 74 in the summer. I would recommend insulation if at all possible.
@@Ashitaka1110 perfect insight, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, much appreciated.
Sunlight seems whiter and brighter than when I was young in the 80s.
You aren’t tripping about the light feeling more intense, I used to play outside all day as a kid during the summer, now without a pair of shades my eyes cannot stop from tearing up constantly.
I love the bracelet! Blessed you are to have a kiddo or wife to make that, haha. Nice.
I've been installing the Mr Cool system now for about 3 years on all my different projects. They are very DIY friendly.
I bought a MRCOOL 12000 btu 4th gen last fall and installed it myself. It was easy to do for people who have a little skill at being a jack of all trades. It heats and cools a room very well and best of all it runs off a 20 amp 115v breaker. You will love it.
Again, there's something I just can't explain about watching your videos, they're very relaxing and informative and absolutely have a lot of heart. Goes without saying we all appreciate you sir!
Love and light prohos🙏
Many blessings to all
10,000 for a mini split install is insane. Had a haier mini split installed for $2500 out the door by my hvac guy
even 2500 is crazy for me. Here (central Europe) you can buy a AC unit for around 600-2000 (depending on the AC itself) and 90% of the time the install is included in the price. Big box stores buy truckloads of AC units and they have their own local subcontractors that install them.
West coast man lights a fire in 100 degree weather.
this is why i love this channel. he is deeply religious, and i am not. yet he doesn't cram it down your throat every episode, and on top of that, he is incredibly humble, and always uses his channel to lift people up when he thinks their product is of actual use to people or not, and always gives advice from his wealth of experience to help others
Ever tried a minitruck on the land? I use a Diahatsu Hijet Climber on my property. I gave it a lift, ATV tires, and beadlock wheels and load leveling air shocks in the rear. It has a dump, heater, enclosed cab, locking (and unlocking) rear diff, and hi-lo transfer case with 4wd. It never gets stuck and I've moved over 1000lbs in the bed before ( a bit too much).
Those Kei trucks are just phenomenal.
In my 53rd year of life....always been sensitive to sunlight. That said, I relate to your observation and feel it's more of a scenario of aging and not the environment.
Agreed about the sun. My wife and I both have commented about how bright the sun has been.
I love his stoves. I have one of the smaller square models in my 10x10 cabin. Got it off of Etsy for a great price. It’s a work horse.
I have noticed a significant change in the current sun rays as well. Much more intense today.😊
The light, that’s your cataracts and general aging. I’m there with you!
I do agree with you about the intensity of the Sun. I does feel different.
I know you have a million projects and its hard to get around to everything, but one suggestion I might make is a sauna next to the river camp. Look up Nordnes Sjøbad in Bergen, Norway. They have saunas and a heated sea water pool set on the freezing cold fjord, so you can go back and fourth between cold plunge and extreme heat. Its a very good experience that I think you could replicate at your river.
That cabin is beautiful.
Funny you mention the sun. We were talking about this at work the other day. We have a wide range of guys on my crew (25-68 yo). I said ‘man, the sun did not used to be this intense. Everything just looks different than it did a few years ago’. Everyone agreed. I’m hoping it’s just the solar cycle and not something man-caused, like nuclear testing or pollution.
I disagree. Doesn't mean I'm right. I'm in Michigan. Our last few years have been cooler then normal. Don't think we even got a 90 degree day this year. Been in 70s for 2 weeks now and looks to be only 70 the next month.
100 % agree with you on the intensity of the sunlight!
Cody,
I never tell another man what to do, but if your in the market for a sxs, take a look at the American made intimidator truck series. The two things i like, it's got a 5 1/2' wide by 6' long bed with fold down sides, and a 3 cylinder Kohler diesel engine. Thank you for taking time to film, edit and post this video.

That was a great video. When you were saying how beautiful it was I thought to myself “yes, but does it give you the fizz?” Yes, it does. Very nice
Looks like a solid, well made stove. I have a cabin where a wood stove is the only source of heat and cooking (Home Comfort, circa 1920), so I know the importance of a well made stove. I didn’t see a spark arrestor screen in the cap? I know in bone dry Colorado, it’s an absolute requirement to prevent potential disasters.
I went to his website, very well crafted woodstoves and very well priced for what you get. Very well crafted, well done.

The pioneer 1000 is an amazing rig. My dad has one and can take it on the same trails rzrs do and can use it around the yard in "turf mode" and not damage the grass. Honda reliability + non-cvt drivetrain is really the bread and butter
Trust me on this man, Kubota x900 . I’ve been highly amazed of their capability. Between how much weight of material they can handle. Their low end torque for climbing a steep hill with a load. Hydraulic dump bed. Manual locking rear end. Not even including all the options you can get for it. Doors radio heat/ac. Quick connect front attachments.

About the sun light: I was thinking the same exact thing, im 33 years old, i spoke with my girlfriends father and he told me the same exact thing you said in this video : "the sun used to be different when we were younger, we could stay 7-8 hours on the beach and we did not get a sun burn like you two did"
My assumption: The ozone layer got thinner and no one is telling us.

Hey there mr Wranglerstar.... watch your vids all the time... you do a great job buddy! There was only one that disappointed me! After all I watched on your channel and enjoyed you said something that suprised me. I believe your words were(you could care less if a certain person got shot last weekend). Did you truly mean that? The light has a hot white feel now. You are 100% correct.
Nice stove.
David is a boss!
Thank you!
I have also felt that the sun is noticeably more harsh in the summers, just in the last few years...
I’m still quite young (26) and would agree the light has gotten much more harsh. I remember being young without a worry now I have to constantly have some form of shade. Also used to sell side by sides (haven’t for a few years now) and cannot recommend anything more than a kawasaki mule! They stand behind them as well with a factory 3 year warranty
On the topic of the sun being different: Yes, I feel the same and have for years.
Hey Mr w, just a little tip from a humble east coast blue collar boy, for sheet metal screw work the m12 impact is a bit better imo, it has a setting right after the 3rd speed setting specifically for those screws where it spins the screw very fast to start the self tapping drill feature of the screws then once resistance is felt it slows down and even stops itself to prevent over torque on the screws and the heads snapping off, I really enjoy using it when in doing galvy smoke pipe. Sheet metal is not an enjoyable task as work.
I agree with you about the sunlight when I was a kid it was always much more golden than it is now
what a great wrap up. Thank you David!!
Installed 5 Mr. Cool minisplits in my brother in laws cabin several years ago. They are fantastic.
With regards to your question/observation about sunlight- I live in the Uk so anything brighter than light grey seems harsh although happy to see it
