  • This Radio Flyer Go Kart has been amazing for our kids after 3 years of use! Radio Flyer did great with this go kart for beginners! Great starter go kart for young kids! Worth purchasing and more than worth it after 3 years so far! I will definitely be a returning Radio Flyer Customer.

How long does it last on full charge and how long does it take to charge it ?

I've never timed it, but I would say somewhere around 30 to 40 minutes if it's non-stop driving.

After taking it apart. Would it be a big hassle to get to the battery every time they want to use it?
My friend has one but the battery is toast. I was going to put a Milwaukee battery in it for more speed. But I would have to remove the battery for charging.

The battery finally went bad on this one along with a shorted charging port. After seeing the cost of the parts we decided we are just buying another one. We definitely got our money worth out of it they used it everyday. The battery isn't very easy to get to at all.

@@bwoodley2298 I ran a Milwaukee adapter to battery terminals. It's running great. I bolted the part that holds the battery on the top of the car. So I can swap at any time. So I wouldn't throw it away if the body is in good shape.

I disagree, the battery is *not* 'very difficult' to replace!
11 tiny phillips head screws from the bottom and the whole Rear Clip comes off, fenders and all.
The battery is then right there.. I mean right there.
Currently the battery set including it's fused and circuit breaker wire harness is available from Radio Flyer as well as the two drive motor assembly's

Would a five year who rides a pw50 dirtbike be bored with this? He likes all motorized toys. Need something for around the house. Pw is for the track..

My 6 year old still drives it every now and then, she has kind of outgrown it (she is tall) but not as often as she used to. The drifting aspect of it, I think, keeps them occupied with it. She has moved on to the Razor Quad and is always her first choice to take off on.

Looking to get one of these for the kiddos, however, one is already turning 9. Would it still run well for his age?

I would say it all depends on size and experience. There may be better options out there for that age.

Don't do it.. the maximum weight is 81 pounds and *that's* not good for it!
The added weight stresses the two motors and burns the armature windings.

    You’re an awesome dad!!
I just had a son and am a big F1 fan. Trying to find something I could get him when he’s a toddler that is akin to an F1 car. Radio Flyer has this and also a grow with me go cart, but this thing seems much more fun and cool. Would this be too big for a 2 year old?

It really depends on his size. My 2 1/2 year old son could drive it now but doesn't control it like this yet. Each child is different. As a retired Racecar driver that started very young. Experience never hurts, but there are steps to take.
