One of the greatest MLS games I've ever watched. This finals kept me on the edge of my seat. Seeing the stadium erupt when Gareth Bale tied the game gave me chills. Incredible job by both squads and congrats to LAFC.

Wow! What a game! The greatest MLS game in history! Two of the best teams in the league squaring off in a back and forth affair. This could be equivalent to the NFL's 1958 championship game between the Colts and Giants if the MLS plays their cards right.
Being a Nigerian and a passionate EPL follower and Arsenal lover, I love what the MLS is becoming. It used to be retirement football but it's changing now. I see the packed stadium and I must say hats off to the organizers of the league. I see a lot of Americans being interested in the real football (your soccer) and I am very much impressed and happy too. It's still a long way from NFL (which I have also grown to follow) but it's headed in the right direction.

hey man i never watch mls but i’m aware of the playoffs, east and west conference all that stuff and I see so many LA fans (seems they played in their stadium ) but why is the final not played in a neutral stadium ?
@@adamziet It used to be neutral in a pre-determined stadium each year. But they changed it in 2013 to be hosted by the team in the final with the best regular season record. That year the Galaxy were already set to host and they made it to the final. The atmosphere was so great compared to previous finals that the league changed it. Honestly, its a great call. The only team GUARANTEED to have home field advantage in the final is the team with the best season record (the champ in most other leagues). But you still have to win two playoff games to get to the final as the #1 seed...

You get paid in us$ and get to live in big modern american city as a multi millionaire Between playing in random mexican or brazil city. Being paid in pesos or reales. Instead of living in Miami Orlando San Diego Los Angeles New York Boston Texas etc. Being paid in us$. Plus a chance to get a usa or canada passport. The choice is quite easy But mls wont surpass europe quality. Unless they are able to pay more. And maybe lobby fifa to have a joint europe-americas champions league
This was by far the BEST MLS Cup Final ever played. So much drama that I was on pins and needles throughout the game. It's gonna be VERY difficult to top this one!

I try to explain to my American friends what it is that differentiates this game from all the others. America finally has a game with it all. Those last-minute low-to-high emotions are just not there for any other sport. LOVED seeing this. Amazing, and watching Bale come on and do his thing is the cherry on the cake.

Philly coming from behind, Crepeau breaking his leg to save a sure goal, Defender of the year scoring two goals, bale dunks on that same defender for a 128 minute equalizer, and to top it all off the goalie that was subbed in blocks 2 penalties. Fucking scenes
MNUFC fan here. Congrats to LAFC they have been in the hunt just about every season since they have been established good to see them to win the cup. That being said can’t help but feel for Philly fans, your club played with a ton of heart and made it one of the best championship matches in MLS history.

Bale did more then just score the goal, he was decent at defending too, surprised to see him put in such an effort in such a short space of time but hats off to him.

That was honestly the greatest MLS game I've ever seen. It went back and forth, the crowd was going crazy. I know everyone talks about the Bale goal, but give huge credit to Palacios who almost lost the ball out of bounds, but ran it down and hit it towards net for the Bale goal. That was such an underrated play.

I had to come just to read the comments on this game. This was such a rollercoaster. I wanted to see Philadelphia win bc I watched their semi game. These two clubs have garnered such big followings from their supporters, it’s beautiful. I did see some soft fouls but don’t think this game came down to the refs. Both teams answered big-time in all the big moments. I think Philly got in a negative mindset after their first kicker slipped. No one deserved to lose that game. Hope the Union can find peace and satisfaction after such an amazing performance and season. MLS definitely seems way better now than 10 years ago.

This was by far the BEST MLS Cup Final ever played. So much drama that I was on pins and needles throughout the game. It's gonna be VERY difficult to top this one!

The league (MLS) is high scoring. It is dramatic. Impossible comebacks are fairly common. And due to the league and season structure, a mid table, or even lower half side may remain in the championship picture very late in the season. For the record, when following MLS, the best story lines are top and mid table. At the top, they are vying for the Supporters Shield. Anywhere near mid table, they're angling for playoff position for the MLS Cup.
Finally, there's a decent incentive for Europeans to follow MLS... We sell you our players by the bushel. What British fan WOULDN'T want to contact his club's board, demanding they make an offer for someone you've seen?

I try to explain to my American friends what it is that differentiates this game from all the others. America finally has a game with it all. Those last-minute low-to-high emotions are just not there for any other sport. LOVED seeing this. Amazing, and watching Bale come on and do his thing is the cherry on the cake.

That was honestly the greatest MLS game I've ever seen. It went back and forth, the crowd was going crazy. I know everyone talks about the Bale goal, but give huge credit to Palacios who almost lost the ball out of bounds, but ran it down and hit it towards net for the Bale goal. That was such an underrated play.

I had to come just to read the comments on this game. This was such a rollercoaster. I wanted to see Philadelphia win bc I watched their semi game. These two clubs have garnered such big followings from their supporters, it’s beautiful. I did see some soft fouls but don’t think this game came down to the refs. Both teams answered big-time in all the big moments. I think Philly got in a negative mindset after their first kicker slipped. No one deserved to lose that game. Hope the Union can find peace and satisfaction after such an amazing performance and season. MLS definitely seems way better now than 10 years ago.
