I believe in Edey I feel the only place he can really flourish is Toronto anywhere else he'd just be a player spending most his time on the bench
If that's the case you just agreed he's not very good. Why would the Raptors want a not very good player? Being in Toronto might get him some fan support and a little more patience but it won't make him faster, more athletic or a better shooter.
The fans should not have any say in the draft because they're not the ones getting fired for their choices.

This guy has been proving everyone wrong since than, even carrying Team Canada Jr teams and outplaying opponents like Chet Holmgren etc.
He’s going to add that 3pt shot, and he will be at minimum a backup centre. Stop sleeping on this man.

@luca rosano the raptors cant get into that 6th range pick unless they trade quickley for 2 picks and only one of the in this years draft the will accept likely. so if the raptors want a top 6 pick they wont get it unless the player slides.
the best they can likely do is trade for memphis 9th pick by moving jakob poeltl for the 31st pick and likely kennard and konchar.
there is a possibility kings do a trade for brown with 12th pick for harrison barnes and trey lyles for bruce brown and ochai agbaji.

Safest outcome: One of Edey/Ware/Missi/Holmes at 19 and one of Kolek/Tyson/Smith/Scheierman at 31. Backup big and a depth piece who can contribute right way. This would be a good draft.

If we can’t move Bruce to GSW or LAL for better players now I know they have said they wanted a future first but I could see us moving Bruce for a bad contract and draft assets. Bruce B = Bojan Bogdanovic + 2024 24th Dallas pick + 2025 second from Brooklyn.
NYK get win now player still add 1 rookie at 25 and keep all draft asset flexibility while having a playoff ready player for PG-SF that.
Raptors fill backup PG, get a Big C/PF and add a SF type wing that help depth jump starts rebuild while hopefully Nets blow it up and 25 second is in the 30s.
I don't think Bogan's value has slid below Browns, so I'm doubtful that they are going to add value into a deal to Unload the contract. We just need to free up space to make a big contract offer to Og, It was NEVER Og's fault that the team struggled to jive, Pascal wasn't consistent with his responsibilities when operating as the 4/pf.
@@dancingbabybins og is gonna get 38-43 million a year, the raptors can only create like 30 million in cap space unless they let quickley walk. quickley and barnes are due for extensions this summer, and quickleys contract will impact the 2024-2025 season. quickley is gonna get a 4 year 30 million contract.
@@dancingbabybins sorry I disagree Bojan is a negative contact for any team that is why he was in trade for Evan F. Big contract, old, declining, no defense, for a contender that is wasted of time and money. Yes he can still shoot but will not get mins on a good team in NBA. It is like Joe I in Orlando they need shooting really bad and his mins still declined and they were worse with him on court. Even with OG out increasing needed mins at SF Bojan could not step up in smaller window.
My assumption is that if things go well with NYK they sign BB to lower salary contract for a couple more years. Or they could flip him at trade deadline if their season looks bad either way he is a positive asset now!
golden state doesnt have a pick this year. and i believe earliest warriors can move a pick likely 2026. dunno if they would do that with them close to a rebuild. they would only do that for a player like butler.
the most likeliest trade is to kings. bruce brown and ochai agbaji for harrison barnes, trey lyles and the 12th pick in 2024 agbaji is enough where the raptors dont have to give any pick up in return.
