Glad to hear Mrs Boss is doing good . I’m also glad the folks made good on their sale of the saw to you . I buy local when ever I can . HIPA does make good products . See you Saturday !!! Del
Glad that saw is fixed. I’m really excited to see that saw work now. I’m absolutely sure the review will change. A semi chisel chain will work well for your vast majority of bucking. Glad you got treated good. Likely in part because that saw shop didn’t catch that the bar and chain was the root cause.
that saw does pull a 3/8 chain.. lots of guys are converting them from the .325 to the 3/8 and prefer it on the husqvarna forms and fb groups. unless you mean it had a sprocket made for .325 chain and not 3/8s but they but a 3/8 chain on anyway. im about to go from 3/8 to 325 on my old 257 cause i dont think it really has the power for it
Yeah when I first got the saw it had a 3/8 on it. But it was the wrong sprocket, it had the .325 sprocket so it keep braking. So the saw shop that has been working on the saw finely fingered out it needed the .325 chain and bar on it. I got the saw NEW with the wrong bar and chain on it from a store called Family Farm and Home. I hope this clears up what has happened with this saw. Thanks for watching.

I could be wrong but I think you can run a 3/8 bar and chain on it but you have to change the sprocket to 3/8 also?
Yeah it's a whole thing, that 545. If you check the Playlist you can see the rest of the story. Thanks for watching.
