How is your splitter holding up
i have that same chainsaw in here Finland. i have cut that now about 2 yr something like 10 ltr gasoline. and working like a clock. that auto tune is nice. Summer we have +15- +28 and winter -10 -32 celsius and that running like a clock. 15- 20 push to primer and choke and start and then put choke off and start. need couple minute warm up if weather condition change a lot i use 13 inch bar usually. sometime 20 too new chain always need re tighten
Not to smart putting your hand under the wood
Did you Calobrate it like you are sapposed to before turning it 10,000 Rpm. Ive run my 545 for 2 years and ive had not a single issue. Also proper preventive maintenance goes a long way no matter what kind or size of equipment it may be.
I hear ya man I would hope a 71cc would out cut a 50cc. Not sure what kind of "firewood" operation you have but nor sure why a man would let his saw be in a shop for 3 months when you can replace a sprocket in less than 5 minutes. But I know how folks are.Sounds like you need the big 592XP. So kick out $2000 Cause the Holzfmans are junk 2000
What a waste of time, just trying to get you two minutes
Have you had any issue with this spitter’s hydraulic system overheating?
Nice saw. The reason you had trouble starting it cold. If you go to 6:12 and listen, it popped on choke on the 2nd pull but you pulled it 2 more times, then went off choke. Then went back on choke. After that 2nd pull when it popped if you would have knocked the choke off it would have fired and been running on the 3rd pull.
Also there is no need to pull the rope with your left hand and pull the throttle open with your right. If you flip the choke to on, and then push the lever back down it will knock the choke off but set high idle, then pull, when the saw starts you can hit the throttle and it will knock off the high idle function.
I picked up one from tractor supply and the hydraulic hoses are dry rotted from sitting outside for over a year.
I was working in the woods with a bunch of guys for a month using 550s. I was the only one that had a saw run fine. Reason, i enjoyed doing cleaning maintenance every night after supper.
I find that i can split faster with the single wedge. These 4-way wedges seem to splinter alot more wood in the process. All those splinters clog up the beam so much faster.
Why in God's name don't you prop those pieces off the ground before you run your chain into the dirt ?
Great question Jeffrey, well the easy answer is sometimes I am a bone head. Lol. Also when I am out in the woods cutting l am trying to get as much done as possible. Thanks for watching, have a great day.
I could be wrong but I think you can run a 3/8 bar and chain on it but you have to change the sprocket to 3/8 also?
Yeah it's a whole thing, that 545. If you check the Playlist you can see the rest of the story. Thanks for watching.
@@BossFirewoodandHomesteading will do.
I have this splitter. Iam in the firewood business. I split around 300 full cords a year. Ive had this 3yrs. now. its never missed aday work. Ive been in the business for 46 yrs. this is the best splitter Ive had and I wore out 3 others. I use ethenol fuel in the spitter and my chainsaws. never had an issue.
Indeed this is an excellent splitter. I think if you use your splitter or chainsaw very often the gas does not have a chance to go bad. Thanks for watching have a great day.
How hot does your cylinder get in 1 tank of gas. my country tuff gets to hot to even touch . After a half of tank of gas
It's 35 ton
Yeah it does indeed get hot, but not too hot. I have been using full synthetic oil in it. I think it does help with higher temperature. Also you may try blowing all of your cooling fins. Best of luck to you and thanks for watching.
You can edit out 6 minutes of putting those screws in (7-12min) with a simple video editor. Tnx for the video
I own the Holzfforma G372XP...JUNK!!! 3 tanks of gas is all it lasted. Choke fell out, replaced with Husqvarna OEM choke. Throttle cable fell apart, replaced with Husqvarna OEM throttle cable. Handle broke, replaced it with Husqvarna OEM handle. Yesterday on the third tank of gas the engine blew...throwing it away and buying a Husqvarna today!! I've owned a couple Husqvarna 268's for 20 years with no issues, so I'm going back.
Hey Jason, sounds like you got a very bad one. That has not been my experience with mine. It was my main saw last summer and I cut 25 or so face cords with it with only minor issues. But you can't go wrong with the husqvarna for sure. Good luck and thanks for watching.
50cc not 45
Yes you are 100% right. Thanks for watching.
Nema baš snage?
Sure why not.
Normalno da nema snage. To je mašina za vodilicu od 38 cm ne od 50 lol...
@@markobratina4592 sure
I'm telling you Echo is still Husqvarna yeah we're on the same chain links. If hipa can keep up with them. They should be in business for a long time! Keep the price down on the chain
I've been running the hyper chain 24 inch bar on my echo cs7310 p . I can also run the same exact chain on my CS 620p chainsaw 24 inch bar. I'm like what
Awesome Stanley, how do you like the Hipa chain?
Hey boss shaking your hands is like grabbing a bunch of bananas. I love you man
Indeed man. Have an awesome day!
So I tried to support your channel and followed the link, registered and created an account. Spent 45 browsing and adding $100USD TO THE CART. Go to checkout. Only ships to USA. I tried.
Oh man Bill sorry to hear that. Thanks for trying. I will speak to my representative and see if they have plans to start shipping to Canada.
Hello BOSSMAN, Del, Stanley et; all. Hope all had a merry Christmas. Stay warm and safe.
Hey Boss , glad to see you posting . Happy New Year my friend !
Where is this guy ?
I don’t know , he just stopped making videos .
nice to see you posting again and merry Christmas and happy new year my friend
At my age it's good to be seen. Lol happy holidays to you DT.
Hello boss I haven't seen you in a while. Hope you had a great Christmas and I hope you have a Happy New Year. Your friend here's Stanley Jack. Piqua Ohio
Hey Stanley, hope you had great holidays as well. I'll be making more videos soon my friend.
You will most likely have to change the gas tank with oem as well,as soon as you get it stuck and pull on it lol
watching you fiddle around with your saw has convinced me not to purchase a Holzfforma.
Well it's been a good saw. Thanks for watching.
Your valve is not kick8ng on the return stroke. Love the new wedge
Not kicking off
I need to adjust that valve. Thanks for watching!
My 545 MK II was my most favorite 50cc saw ever. Sadly it was stolen. I replaced it with a 550 XP. I like the broader power range of the 545, and I would not recommend "upgrading" to a 550XP.
Hey boss I picked up 2 new chainsaws yesterday my echo cs620p came in. I haven't ran it yet. I did run the stihl MS 400 c, both of the new chainsaws are running 24 in bars. Keep up the great videos.
Hello everyone
Hey Boss , hope you get one !!
I need a good hookaroon. I do alot of firewood farming and need to save my back a bit. You got some beautiful woods here, also you cut nicely with the powersaw
Hello Ryan, yes indeed a pickaroon is a back saver for sure. And thanks for your kind words. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely 🤘 I'll be tuning in to watch more of your good work! Is that a chevy silverado you got there? Looked like a good tough truck
Smart with the 2 picks. Work smarter not harder right.
Hey Bill, I am either working smart or lazy. Lol Have a good weekend Bill.
Hi, who hasn’t driven over their gas can, I certainly have. Is the woods yours or is it a job site?
Hello Adrian, the woods is owned by a family that I am good friends with. I cut 4 loads for me and one for them. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
@@BossFirewoodandHomesteading Thats great, it helps both of you.
@@adrianwhitehead6238 yes indeed it does.
have 2 1986 jonsered670's still going strong, and a 112 dolmar with a chinese unlimited coil also that cuts great
Bagged mine about 3 weeks ago. Nice 6pt. Are you bow hunting?
Very nice. No I am hunting with my 12 gage shot gun.
@@BossFirewoodandHomesteading that was my next. Guess as you said 100 yds was too far. Good luck 🤞 hope you bagg a fatty

Winter is coming
Hey boss I just bought somebody out I'm getting a new log splitter and a brand new Echo 590 timberwolf. The chainsaw has a date of July 2021. I already have a echo 590. I use it every other day. Would you think about trying out the new 590 in your woodyard?
Stanley, you are very generous. Yes I would be happy to try out a 590. We should talk more about it on email. My email is bossfirewoodand homesteading@gmail.com you can always find my email on my UA-cam homepage. Thanks again and have a great day.
Hey boss you around got to talk for a minute
Just woke up
that they were a 50cc saw??
Yes It's a 50 cc saw. Thanks for watching David.
Hey boss why don't you trade that Husqvarna 545 in on a brand new Echo cs 620 p with a 24 inch bar? Even a Echo cs 590 timberwolf The echoes are so reliable. And they give you a 5-year warranty on them.
I will think on that.
Good morning boss
Good Morning Stanly.
Hey boss sorry to hear about the gout. Can make it hard to get around. Hang in there. Well the new Stihl MS 400cm chainsaw finally came in. I got it with a 24 inch bar. What a workhorse. Good addition to my woodyard. Stay safe my friend keep up the great videos. Your friend here in Piqua Ohio. Stanley Jack.
My foot is back to 💯 so I am doing good. Sounds like that 400 Stihl is awesome. Have a good one. Your Fiend from Michigan.
Yeah BOSSMAN hope your on the mend and feeling better. Really hoping your luck turns for the good. BTU I’m sure you meant to say Uric Acid buildup not lactic acid buildup. Keep them videos coming. ❤
@@billr4677 foot is 💯 now. And yes you are right, I am not lactating in my foot. Lol. Thanks for watching Bill, have a great weekend.
