    Hey, Zach.
I had been looking through a bunch of 'good feel' books full of rather plain mindful advice, before having a coffe in one of the bookshops in Paris. I had also chosen a copy of the Confessions of Augustine in a bilingual edition with a Latin text and French translations.
At the coffee table in the bookshop I scrolled through some UA-cam feeds, most of them about coaching methods or experiential learning models. And all of a sudden I stumbled upon your vlog and I listened to your exposé of thoughts.
And if one thing, or maybe two, struck me, than it was your authenticity and openness. Your words reminded me in a way of the thoughts of Augustine's confessions and the never ending struggle of incorporating and envigorating the grace of God, following into the footsteps of Jesus and, most often, into the ones of Peter, and thus sinking when trying to walk on our own on the waves of a stormy sea.
I wish you an engaging path to follow, inspired, without becoming self-righteous. And may your path be blessed !
    From Paris, with 'agapè',
    G.

Jesus sees us, and he is moved with pity, moved with compassion.
He knows our hope & dreams, our needs, our wants, our longing for meaning in our lives.
He knows life can be difficult. He knows what it’s like to be tired, to be weary and stressed. He knows what it’s like to be misunderstood and rejected and betrayed and denied by people you love.
He knows what it’s like to lose somebody you love: when his friend Lazarus died, he wept bitterly.
He knows what it’s like to be tempted. He knows the weakness of the human spirit. That’s why he is called “the friend of sinners”.
He knows what it’s like to suffer physical and mental anguish.
He knows what it’s like to face the mystery of death.
He even knows what it’s like to wonder if God is really with us.
My God, My God, why have you abandoned me.
Jesus our friend, our Good Shepherd, has been through it all.
That’s why he really is a GOOD friend, and that’s why he is a GOOD Shepherd.
And that’s why he is merciful and kind to us, and to all.

Hey, Zach, You're inspirational, intelligent and insightful. I appreciate it all and look forward to viewing your other vids. Btw, John 13.7 is called a Bible citation (think of citing a quoted source). The account of Jesus' foot washing is so rich in meanings, and you highlighted one of them. I challenge you to thoroughly wash someone's feet (as Jesus would have done out of necessity; not just a quick splash & dry) in an upcoming vid and discuss humility, because it's the one of the main themes, along with love, forgiveness, receiving humble service, respect, and peace. Jesus' peace to you and thanks for posting!

Your classmates bullying you over your youtube channel is a severe case of mentally underdeveloped loser behavior. Let's hope they work on themselves. Mature and mentally healthy people that are genuinely happy with themselves don't do stuff like that. Don't let their negativity affect you and discourage you from posting.
Thank you for such an honest and encouraging message. I love how you remind us that no matter the chaos around us, keeping our focus on Jesus can bring that peace we all seek. The analogy with Peter walking on water really hit home-it's easy to get distracted by life's storms, but staying centered on faith makes all the difference. I also appreciated your vulnerability in sharing your personal struggles with maintaining intimacy with the Holy Spirit. It's so relatable, and I think many of us struggle with the same challenges of sin and bad habits, but your message gives hope that with God's strength, we can overcome. Your point about gratitude is another great reminder to stop and recognize how blessed we are, even in the small things we take for granted. Keep sharing these truths; they're needed in today's world! God bless you for your work. You have a beautiful soul.

There's something I don't understand, what do you want? Talk about God? Make videos about weightlifting? Do you need peace at 14 and if so, why? I have a lot of questions and if you feel like it, you can answer them for me.

I don't have any idea how the UA-cam algorithm brought up your video but I watched it. I'm not Christian and I'm many times older than you but here goes. Believing in "A God" is comforting but....how do we know God is a real thing? The planet has billions of people. Many people have different beliefs or no belief. I'm agnostic because I have never seen any evidence of God. If there is a God then who created him? In nature, things can be very cruel. Animals don't just eat other animals without pain and suffering. Why is someone like you that have morals and good values could get in a bad car accident that is not your fault and just die when some murderer could get away with his crimes and just live? Who are we to just say, oh it's his will and do not question it? As you know all our experiences are on just one planet in a universe with billions and bilions of other stars that have planets. Maybe in the whole scheme of things we are just so small and insignificant, like an ant is to us. Does God single the humans out to guide our destiny? It's late and I'm rambling but I need proof there is some good, higher power. I have a scientific mind and to me humans are like a weed spreading over the planet and slowly killing other species of plant and animals for our gain. Why would a God let us do that? Why is there evil? Wouldn't a God just have everyone live in a utopia of helping each other? So many questions. I guess to sum it up is to say you are lucky you have a comforting belief system that helps you. I wish I could. No need to answer, I just thought I would throw some thoughts out for you to think about.

Same. This video came up in my feed even though I'm atheist. Like you say there is no evidence of God. If he exists why hasn't he made himself known over the last 100 years or so?
I don't want to be agnostic either I want to be decisive one way or the other, but that's just me.

Watching this from my European perspective (more precisely French perspective - we are mostly atheists or agnostic here), it makes me sad that such a young bright kid as you seems to be sees the whole world through the Bible and "god" 's eye. The amount of time you bring up "god" is so high I could not count them. I respect a lot of opinions, but I hope that one day you'll realize that religion such as it is did so much more harm in this world than any good.
Just off the bat, I could think of the crusades, the sack of Constantinople, the denial that Galileo was right about the relationship between the earth and the sun, the inferiorization of women (that still happens today), the massacre of LGBT people (doesn't happens anymore, but still a lot of hate and bigotry), the prohibition there was for a very long time on human dissection which is responsible for the lack of medicine understanding and the death of countless of people, the preaching that the Jewish people were collectively responsible of deicide in the execution of Jesus of Nazareth, and the list could go on and on, and I'm just talking about the christian catholic religion.
I hope that one day you'll realize that science did much more in the past century to really help put an end to people's misery than centuries of prayers and blind belief in religion did.
I strongly recommend you to read Christopher Hitchens' work, or to listen to his debate about religion that are out there on UA-cam.
    Peace,
    "The French agnostic" ;)

You know who else sees the world through the Bible and "god"'s eye and was a young bright kid like Zach? A Christian guy named Vint Cert. He's the reason you can post your comments (bashing religion) here and share on the internet since he (and his jewish friend Bob Khan) invented the and designed the architecture (including TCP/IP) that makes the internet possible. (They are called the fathers of the internet) Oh since he was doing more good than harm ( to reverse your wording) he also invented email. So i'm thinking Zach has a great future ahead of him as he continues to follow Jesus. As to your examples of harm, Galileo ( like almost all early scientist) was a devout Christian. When he published his work, he had no proof, just a couple of observations. The Catholic church wanted valid scientific proof before they overturned centuries of accepted thought. (Perhaps you atheist dont need valid scientific proof, but the Church did). BTW the Catholic Church still operates an observatory, the Vatican Observatory, which is one of the oldest astronomical observatories in the world. As to the crusades, the European Christians waited patiently for 200 years for the Muslims to stop killing, beating, and kidnapping Christians that were in what had been Christian lands before the Muslims had taken the area by force. After 200 years of seeing their brothers and sisters in Christ beaten and killed, the Catholic Church helped raise an army to take back the lands. SO if someone was beating and killing your friends, how long would you wait before you did something? And if you resorted to force to save your friends, how would you feel if later someone told you that you were bad violent, harmful, and wrong for doing so? As far on your comment on women and their treatment by the church, for the first 100-200 years the Christian religion was called by the outside (roman)world as" the religion of women and slave" as an attempt to demean it. And btw how many Universities in France were started by the Christian church? How many started by atheist? So from my American (and world history) perspective, it makes me extremely happy that such a bright kid as Zach seems to see the whole world through the Bible and God's eyes. Cheers!
