This is completely useless if you don't compare it to the damage the weapons do against them. Reach's grunts could have 10x the health compared to the previous ones, but that doesn't necessarily make them the strongest, if the weapons are also scaled accordingly.
Reach's main weapons are weak af against campaign enemies, though. Whereas Halo 4's sandbox is very effective at taking them down. So, Reach's are strongest.
Man the song he plays at the end brings back so many memories. Nostalgia for days. I dont know what the name of it is! I just know they used it for the Reach Multiplayer Beta trailer!
These stats are good and i liked them and clearly theyre accurate but the actual strongest grunts are from halo 2 on legendary, they have by far the most health and theyre gods. Reachs are a close second though due to the fact ultras have a helmet that protects a one shot
I think Halo 2 ultra grunts might seem strong when compared to the player. They don’t take that much shots from weapons, but they seem strong because of melee being such a fucking joke on legendary. Reach Ultras can block a headshot and can go on suicide mode too
Needler is defo halo 2. Not only can you dual wield, they have impact and explosion damage on each hit whereas later games the shards dont explode after about 2 seconds so they do less damage
@@everythingsalright1121 Nah, I'm thinking Reach since it's the first game where the Needles do significant shield damage by themselves, instead of relying solely on the supercombine. H2 needlers have poor damage.
@@everythingsalright1121 The impact damage is really negligible though, and the tracking ability of the needles in Halo 2 is much worse than in later games. I think that post-Halo 2 Needlers have a faster fire rate too which partially makes up for the lack of dual wielding.
In Halo Reach grunts can also be given hard helmets via skulls that will absorb one headshot like h2 brutes. These are alot more fun to fight against with the over abundance of long range headshot weapons in the later games. If 343 were aware of these they should have been the default grunt unit in h4 and h5.
I meleed a Grunt in Halo 3 and the one next to it said "That was my best friend!" and it genuinely made me feel kinda bad for it then i meleed it anyway because campaign
You should take into consideration what weps they could use In either game, how much damage they were capable of, elite versions having a helmet you need to shoot off before you can headshot them, also npc behavior progression. Good list so far but there's a lot to take into consideration if you want a more accurate comparison.
I want to mod in a Halo-5 Grunt melee into MCC, but keep the damage at 0. It'd add to the power fantasy and comedy to have Grunts hitting you, only for it to do nothing and they run away in fear.
1: While I love playing the HALO games, especially campaign, my biggest gripe is the lack of consistency, especially in weapons, vehicles, and enemies (since the time between the start of Reach (24 July 2552) to the conclusion of Halo 3 (since ODST technically finishes before the the epilogue of Halo 3 (03 March 2553) is only 7 months and 7 days. Considering even in the future, aside from Spartan Lasers, we're still more or less using Vietnam-era tech (seriously, the US military has more advanced weapons, and weapon prototypes than what we'd supposedly have 500 years in the future), it is virtually impossible weapon and health stats, along with weapons and vehicle design changes, would occur in that short a time span. But to make "fresh" game, they have to keep updating the items (I'm not counting improved graphics, but actual cosmetic and material changes). So that's my gripe, is the lack on consistency (and how weapons seems to get less powerful with smaller magazines, and overall player ammo capacity). They could have kept all stats and weapons the same, while improving graphics and the story. Not going into Halo 4 or 5, because I think 343 went of the deep end and really screwed the pooch with aesthetics (especially how there's half a ship at the end of Halo 3, but in the opening scene of Halo 4, the FUD is a completely different ships, and several times bigger than what we saw at the end of Halo 3). 2: And now, my main quest for the Generalkidd and the group. In the same vain as consistency, and this focus's mainly on Halo 2, starting with Outskirts, but really coming into play during Delta Halo, is the number of Marines and equipment aboard In Amber Clad. At the beginning of Outskirts, CDR Keyes says she's going to start airlifting armor and equipment into the city. So starting there, my quest for the group is to determine how much IAC can hold in terms of people and equipment, and if overall personnel and equipment volume exceeds what the Ship could hold. Think of all the Pelicans, Scorpions, Warthogs, and Marines in the game, especially the ones you kill after the flood come into play, and it seems like a far greater number than what the ship should hold, or even a USN LHA/LHD could hold, the those are USMC aircraft carriers (for the non-military folk). By my count, there are at least 6 Scorpion MBTs, maybe 7 depends on difficulty you play Quarantine Zone on, in the game from Outskirts to the end of Quarantine Zone. 3: Anyone up for the challenge? Also, if you want a good idea of the size of a Frigate, the one being built in the last mission of Halo Reach gives you a good idea of it's overall size.
about number 2. In Amber clad is supposed to only carry 200 marines, 64 odst 6 pelicans, 8 Scorpions, 200 naval personnel, 12 warthogs.
