@@HollyandAndrew Huge differences. One specialty dining room that had panels from Normandie. I liked the original dining room and casino more, more upscale. The original dining room had the famous La Normandie statue in it from the SS Normandie. It is now on the Beyond. I thought the original colors were more vibrant in the dining room than the neutrals and blues used now. The ship was Solsticized so it added in the specialty restaurants and removed the original one. It changed where the Martini Bar is. It added a bunch to the deck spaces and I think it improved the buffet. Michael's Club was a very luxurious looking "gentleman's lounge" available for all passengers. I think the new area looks like an airline lounge by comparison. So, some things are better, others are not. The staterooms are nicely updated as well.
Just off the Summit, which was my first celebrity cruise... but definitely won't be my last. Nice tour... brought back a whole lot of good memories. (FYI: Qsine restaurant is now home to Le Petite Chef, which was a complete and total blast...)
Just got off. The hot tubs were barely warm until we had a day in the 50s, then they turned up the temperature. Everyone thought they were broken, but nope just policy.
Is she bigger or smaller than Reflection?? Loved Reflection and Celebritys treatment throughout as to why we booked Alaska with them. Prior to that we were loyal to MSC, mainly because theyre Italian and I can talk to them in my native tongue but Seashore was a ship that they rushed and was truly disappointed!!
The Summit is smaller than the Reflection. We have sailed on both and like them for different reasons! Summit is the perfect ship for Alaska because there will be less people.
Celebrity Summit will be our 1st cruise ever in September 10 to the Canadian Maritimes . We have viewed a lot of cruise reviews regarding this line & this ship. Your photography and panning from subject to subject nearly caused me motion sickness
Aw that’s fantastic, have a great first cruise! If our video made you motion sick, you may want to take some Dramamine with you on your voyage. The seas can get a bit rough 🙂
The Celebrity Summit was amazing in all ways. When we sailed, it was relatively newly renovated, so it felt brand new. The crew were all super friendly, the food was great and the itinerary was incredible. Overall we'd give it a 10/10!
The Summit will be my first Celebrity cruise in November . So excited .
Have a great cruise! You’ll have to let us know your favorite part of the ship 🙌🏻
I will be aboard her in 19 days!!! Cant wait!!!
Have a great cruise! It’s one of our favorite ships ☺️
I've seen countless videos of Celebrity Summit and I just found out through you that the gym has a sauna! Awesome!
Yes! And it's actually FREE to use!
We took our family on The Summit in 2001. Nice ship. Thought it was the 1990s but my photos from then say 2001.
Oh nice! How did the Summit from your trip compare to our vlog? Was it very different or pretty much the same?

Good to know! We've wanted to try Le Petite Chef since learning about it when it first came out but haven't done it yet. It looks so fun!
How were those hot tubs? Nervous that they will not be warm enough on a tour to Greenland!

Ahh good to know! Thanks for sharing!
