Do a video on why runways are built on a particular location and direction. Do runways get built randomly? Is runway heading determined by space availability or some other factors? 🤔 You said that runway heading is marked with a number that’s in relation to the North Pole. Is that correct? Is the North Pole the only north we use as pilots? Is north only in one place? That would make a great aviation video also. Does a magnetic compass point to the North Pole? You talked about ATIS in your video. I don’t know where you live, but maybe you could get your parents to take you to an airport close to you. I bet you could find someone willing to take you over to the ATIS OR AWOS station. That would make a cool video too. If you’re ever in Nashville with your parents, let me know, you’re welcome to come out to the airport. I can show you what a weather reporting station looks like. If you like I’d be glad to take you and your parents up flying, you can even try the controls if you want. I can also get you guys in a cool tour of the tower if you like. Keep up the good work.
Yeah, thank you so much for your ideas, I'll make a video answering those questions to clarify lots of stuff, and yes, the runways are numbered in relation to the north pole, more commonly known as heading, which is used for the direction of the aircraft in degrees, using the north pole as reference for the 0º/360º mark. Whether if it's the magnetic or the geographic north pole would be for another video. I would love to go to the airport you're talking about, but the truth is that I live nowhere near Tennessee, I'm all the way down to Mexico. The people here to be honest have no clue about aviation anyways lol, which is a topic I'll be covering the next video, to see if aviation is even considered "important" in the country compared to, for example, the U.S. or Europe. Thanks so much for your feedback anyways, I'll sure keep making these videos for you :)
I find it surprising the fact that you clicked on a video in which the title asks a question that you straightly and obviously know the answer. I just wasn't expecting that tbh, at least due to the fact that not everyone knows the answer.
