Can someone explain to me why violet is not a world famous singer? She's a hell of a singer, there are several famous singers that violet sings best, she is amazing!
she's brazilian and lives in brazil (despite her online presence being mostly in english). harder to launch "globally" that way (usually it happens via major label records from the first world, appearing in shows and festivals or going viral on the internet nowadays)
You need high quality original work to be famous. And while she have some, most of her videos are covers. There's a lot of talented people doing covers, no shame in that. But covers aren't going to make you big star.
And I think that the back vocal actually amost managed to ruin this amazing cover. Not like he can't sing or anything like that, to my ears he kinda did too much there, out of place.

Funny thing is that out of all the youtube covers done by female singers Violet Orlandi was the only one that didn't tune down from the original key in order to sing. She might be a Mezzo, but her range is beyond that. Great, great singer. (The Frontman for Barbie Sailors also does a great job... also a really good lead).
I enjoyed this! It sounded so good as a duet and with the natural bass tone of your voice. The deeper tones of the guitar and bass also added that heavy edge. “Decode” is a moody, distressing song to begin with, so this ponderous version does it justice.
So I just bounced around a few covers of this song, including Fist to Elevens version. Many are good but this one is really the best, even rivaling Paramore's original. I have seen a few songs with you and Barbie and your voices work so great together. I hope you plan on doing more with him.
I love how the band is like "Cool, lets jam...*epic music blasts*" and the singers just go at it like "Holy f*ck yes I'm singing the f*ck out of this and I don't give a sh*t what you think and I am going to rock this until my time is up and everyone (yes it's a run-on sentence on purpose) I won't even breath the entire time and it will still rock your face off."

Either way, not a bad thing, just saying) Thing is : they do breath, a lot, do you sing ? learn a bit, the first thing you learn to do is to breath. It takes less than half a second to get your air. You can do it between two notes, no one notices (especially like this, in studio, with the proper equipment) Point is : they do breath, a lot. Don't worry for em. Nothing particular here :)
It sounds like a... Violet Orlandi + Barbie Sailers cover. I don't know why people mention immediately Evanescence... This is an amazing piece of music. I wish this setup had a full album of originals in the same style. You just need a good composer to achieve this.

Funny thing is that out of all the youtube covers done by female singers Violet Orlandi was the only one that didn't tune down from the original key in order to sing. She might be a Mezzo, but her range is beyond that. Great, great singer.
(The Frontman for Barbie Sailors also does a great job... also a really good lead).
I think she did it better than the original to be honest.

I enjoyed this! It sounded so good as a duet and with the natural bass tone of your voice. The deeper tones of the guitar and bass also added that heavy edge. “Decode” is a moody, distressing song to begin with, so this ponderous version does it justice.

So I just bounced around a few covers of this song, including Fist to Elevens version. Many are good but this one is really the best, even rivaling Paramore's original. I have seen a few songs with you and Barbie and your voices work so great together. I hope you plan on doing more with him.

you made me concentrate on their breathing so I have to answer, you seem easily impressed so I guess you're quite young ?(or a bit naive. Either way, not a bad thing, just saying)
Thing is : they do breath, a lot, do you sing ? learn a bit, the first thing you learn to do is to breath. It takes less than half a second to get your air. You can do it between two notes, no one notices (especially like this, in studio, with the proper equipment)
