Yesterday Qantas and Perth Airport reached an agreement for Qantas to move across by 2031. The parallel runway should be complete by 2028 and the new terminals being complete by 2031. More news is Jetstar will be moved out of T3 in September of 2024 and will be moved to Terminal 2, on the other side of the airport. Adding to the T3 International, Perth to Rome and Perth to Paris will be starting in the next 2 months. In Total, the new runway and terminals is projected to be around $5 Billion AUD. This was all released on May 31st, 2024
As I commented on your Part 1 of this video, thanks for researching, compiling and posting. There is always works going on at airports, that will never change, and your concise explanation of Perth Airport works is great. Keep up the great work. Thanks. DM.
Great Video! Really enjoyed it, only things I feel I should say as a regular at Perth Airport is that Virgin Australia primarily operates out of T1 not T2, they have a couple flights there but T2 is mainly charter flights for mining by Alliance Airlines and regional services by Rex. T1 is also the main international terminal, only Qantas operates international flight out of T3, T4 is just domestic Qantas.
Actually there are more Virgin flights out of T2 than Alliance and Rex combined. T1 International which has all International flights except for Qantas International Flights. T1 Domestic which is only Virgin Domestic flights T2 Virgin Australia Regional Airlines, Alliance, Rex T3/T4 Qantas Domestic and International (Only T3). Hope this explains it better.
Great video! Very informative. Only I think you should turn the musiccdown when doing the voice over. Found it a bit distracting more so in the 2nd video but yeah, Awesome video hot stuff xx
In regards to noise, I live directly to the west of the airport and there are times EACH week that I could almost touch the wheels as planes go overhead to land or take off. I’m in line with the short runway which is used when there is bad weather or when there is maintenance and /or repairs being done to the main runway. These works usually occur every second Friday. The vibrations are enough to cause all my pictures to become squint, my windows shake, I have to pause when speaking on the telephone every time a plane comes over head and I can’t wear my hearing aids on those days as the noise through my hearing aids is horrendous! We’ve put in extra thick insulation to help reduce noise levels but can’t afford double glazing on the windows as I’m on a disability pension and we’ve applied through the website and never got anywhere.
Awesome video! Love the effort you’re putting into the videos, they’re so entertaining (idk how you haven’t got 10K subs yet) I think you should do a poll to see what airport you do next?
2:49 I've been in gate 53 on 24 January this year but why were gates 52,53 and 54 needing to be upgraded? (for callsign: XAX327, D7237, AirAsiaX flight from Perth to Kuala Lumpur on 9M-XXQ, Airbus A330-343 powered by 2 Rolls Royce Trent 772B-60 engines.)
hi mate it is a really good video that you made and I just wanted to tell you something, since my friend is a perth airport machancian in perth airport during the 1970s. He told me that the airport was very small in the 70s, it only changed a little in the 80s with the international terminal.
Can you please contact me, I have photos of the 1999 master plan for you. Not sure what parts you wanted but happy to go back to the State Library and do the research for you.
Hey! I’ll make a community post about that video in a few weeks. For reasons that will soon be revealed, I have had to temporarily de-list the video. It’ll be back up soon! If you need it for one reason or another, I’m happy to provide you with a link to it!
From what my research indicated, Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Qatar Airways are the primary international airlines that use terminals 3 and 4 alongside Qantas.
Talking about noise - your background music is far too loud ..... I gave trying to hear what you were saying and gave up watching. I am from Perth as well.

Amazing video! Just a quick question, do you know which year aerobridges was implemented at Perth Airport?
What would happen to the current T3/T4 under the airport terminal consolidation plan?
They plan is to turn it into a business park. Or maybe Cobham would move there.

I cant see this happening for a long because Perth airport takes so long to do things
I must ask, but what other international airlines use T3 and T4 for transfer flights?
From what my research indicated, Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Qatar Airways are the primary international airlines that use terminals 3 and 4 alongside Qantas.
@@xthompsongunx Only Qantas fly internationally out of T3/T4 every other carrier must go to T1
