UNTOUCHED FOR 14 YEARS! Big Detail Number One in the USA - We revive this Firebird Trans Am WS6

- For our first big detail at Auto Finesse USA, we found a true American muscle car - the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6. In a former life, this car was being built for drag racing at TX2K. But, the project was halted and it was put in storage, uncovered, for nearly the last 15 years.
Our friend Autrey at BMP Tuning bought this storage unit sight unseen, and immediately called us up for some help. One trailer and almost 900 miles later, it arrived at AF USA in Knoxville where the real fun began. More than a decade of dirt, grime and who knows what else, and we made it shine like never before. The final touch for this project was the brand new American Racing wheels, the perfect fitment for this custom metal widebody kit.
Alongside our team from Knox Auto Spa, we spent 4 days reviving this WS6 from trashed to trophy - bringing out a level of gloss on the paint that exceeded our expectations. Watch the transformation for yourself and be sure to check out our website afterwards - each and every product we used on this detail is in stock and ready for shipment so YOU can achieve the same level of results at home.

Thanks for joining us on our first Big Detail - we can’t wait to see what you guys submit for the next one…

This is the first time I've seen a bird with a widebody rear panel, a leather based dash interior, and rear seat delete. Absolutely beautiful
I've always wondered what these cars would look like with a leather covered dash. I like it. Though the stitching on his could be way better.
I’d love to know more about the dash. I have my instrument cowl covered in leather that was stitched up by Redline Leather Goods and I installed myself but they don’t offer the full dash cover which these cars really deserve.
Wide body rear panel you mean some molded and Fender Flares that look really goofy
@@neilbrown82 Not gonna lie, personal reference wise it looks pretty cool especially with the wheel fitment as well. I’ve come to find some for the catfish Camaros just the not Firebirds :/
@@birdfromhell7540I’m thinking of making my own “wide body” since the previous owner of my T/A had cut the quarter panel for whatever reason
This WS6 may be the baddest-looking I've seen.
I still remember when these car first came out I was in high-school and thought it was the coolest looking car and it still looks cool today. But I think that engine needs just as much love as the paint
Idk the engines sounds pretty healthy to me. Could
Pro use a re-tune, seems like it has a pretty big cam.
Pure awesomeness!!! 😍🫡
Man that ws6 is nice
We agree!
My favorite car out of any other car I would take it over any supercar
The WS6 is iconic. I can't believe Pontiac is gone forever... 😭🤷♂️
Un-Freakin-Believable!!
Such a great finish. I was worn out just watching those guys “Wax On, Wax Off”. That’s a labor of love right there.
You guys hit it out of the ball park. Second F-body I’ve seen with a wide body . Who in gods name does such beautiful work and where can I find them.🍺😎
Still can't believe how this turned out!!!
I love 98 - 02 Firebirds. I've got a loaded, low mileage, garage queen 98 Y87 Firebird. The guy I bought it from had it since 2001 and kept it in a climate controlled garage all those years. The chrome rims and leather interior are 10/10 the paint is 9/10 due to a little bit of road rash on the front bumper and ground effects. When I picked it up from him he said, "I washed it for you and it hit me. I never washed this car since I owned it." 21 years never washed...I believe it as there's zero swirl marks anywhere on the body. I will say though. I'm really starting to wonder if 4th gen Firebirds really don't like to get wet. I wonder if that's possibly where some of their issues start.
Nice video.
She is absolutely beautiful. I still want to own one of those so bad
Beautiful TA and a great job by your team. black cars are so hard to keep clean, but they look amazing when they are.
As the original owner of a 2002 Trans Am, I am stoked to see content like this for these cars. The market for them has be appreciating the past couple of years and a resurgence of interest in them and it’s always great to know there are new fans of the platform that is over 20 years gone.

Autrey from BMP tuning is an absolute awesome guy in the auto tuning industry!!! Met him years ago at Import Alliance 2011 and we have kept in touch since. So proud of him and his team. And welcome to the USA, Auto Finesse!!! You keep turning them out like this, and you will make yourselves a big name in the states. Amazing job!!!

Hell yeah such a CLASSIC and amazing car, I own a 07 Pontiac Solstice GXP and a 04 Pontiac GTO so glad people still love this brand and these cars! you guys did an outstanding job.
That’s awesome! Another late model Pontiac fan! I have a 2002 Trans Am (weekender) and a 2009 Solstice (daily) that I’ve had since new. I knew I had to have the last of the great Pontiacs. 😁
@@BanditJedi Yesss fellow solstice daily driver we love that! Pontiacs are real classic and amazing cars to own for real 🫶🏻
Now that's what you call a cheeky commercial.
What an awesome car, turned out great
This car used to be one of my dream cars back in the day.. still looking good..

This is one of dream cars too 🔥🔥🔥
Wow these f bodies look good! I can't believe what kind of head turners these things are over twenty years after production ended
Great job! Wish yiu had more shots of interior work. Love these cars, though had cheap interiors, interested to see to see ideas on improvements.
Amazing transformation and film work
Cool to see the process. So shiny!
Excellent job🤘🏼
Great work by team AF USA! The transformation is incredible!
Recuerdo Perfecto ese ws6 por ahí del 2011, todos sus fans seguimos esperando los moldes para hacer nuestro ws6 widebody
The rusty bolt in the aftermarket fuel door… 😬. 😂 Great job guys!
So awesome! Great work

Unreal transformation
Sad story behind what happened to the car before Autry got it from a storage unit auction. I would love to follow the car if Autry posts it anywhere online

Crazy how you only have a 100 subs

Any information on where you got those American Racing Wheels and Tires? I’ve got a 2000 Trans Am I like to put those on.
Do you guys know what kind of seat are those and difusser
What size are those wheels? Like 18x10s?
Where was the dash wrapped at? Do you know…
Anyone know who does that Leather Dash Kit ? I need it in my baby.
What does a detail job like this cost?
Imagine Hours,Hours& ”HOURS” of Detailing this Beautiful Car… just to drive back out on to Dirty/Dusty Gravel… 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
!!
You guys need a paved parking lot asap...
Anybody know how much a detail like this would cost?
$2,500+
@@brandonmumford9409 wow
Who stores a car wit the windows down and t-tops off??
Is it for sale? lol
All that work and then u parked on gravel. LOLOL I wouldn’t have done that
Fella's...sigh...This was a Military Service member's car. It still has the base stickers on the front left of the windshield.
Most likely a deceased soldier's Trans Am. We all put our stuff in storage and volunteered on deployments to come home and mod our cars. If we mod'ded our Trans Am like that (build motor/strange rear end/widebody etc.) NO WAY in hell would we leave it in storage unless we died. Reach out and find the prior owner/family. Maybe offering the family a buyback would be a good idea of the next video also? Awesome detail though.
BMP Tuning made contact with the original owner after the vehicle was purchased at the storage unit auction! Had some awesome conversations along the way as we completed the Big Detail. He helped us greatly in clarifying some of the details of his build so that we could best tackle the job inside and out.
Damn you fantasized a whole story based on a sticker.
Why would you do all that and then drive it to a damn dirt parking lot!!!!
A detail is not a restore
God those fender flairs 🤮
it looks so good 🥹 I can't wait to see it!
I have a black 2002 ls1
