I had a red 97 Trans Am WS6 with an automatic. My first TA and loved that car, but it was from the lot so sort of settled for what they had. I ordered my 01 navy blue Trans Am WS6 with manual in Oct 2000, got it 2 days before Christmas (what a gift!!). Still have it and recently had some upkeep done on it. I am in love with this car all over again!! So much fun to drive. Looks almost as good as new. Only 54K miles.
Can I buy it!!??😂😂😂 I’ve always wanted a WS6 ever since I was a kid I’ve always said I would consider trading my 71 nova plus cash for a clean all stock 6spd WS6
The WS6s are great, but yeah the WU6 Firehawks were more rare, and available with higher performance goodies. The last year WS6 had the Ram Air but the suspenstion had been reduced to only a different sway bar from the regular Trans Am. Too many customers complained about the stiffer '98 WS6s so Pontiac listened. And the thin steering wheel always annoyed me in all of them but that was due to females complaining about the wheel being too thick previously. Love them all though
@@PistonTrends Yeah man ... no problem. She's my daily driver and has been since 2002. The "upgrades" always make it faster, look better and ride better! I'm hoping to daily her until I croak or stop driving.

I had mine stolen. I am waiting to replace it when I do it will be a 01 or 02 black with sandalwood interior or black interior T/A WS6. The felt dashboard covers and T-Top inserts work great for protecting the interior.
99 white n blue and 02 yellow and black. Also 74 super duty blue, 3.8 turbo T/A which was just as fast as the grand national. 68 400 ram air black, had to weld a chain on one side kept breaking motor mounts= some serious torque.
I own a '02 Firehawk SLP (Street Legal Performance), it is rated as having 345 HP higher than a WS6 yet it is not mentioned in your video. I think it comparable to a WS6 but with more HP but gets little love.
@@PistonTrends Firehawks were GM RPO WU6 and were sent to SLP to receive a number of available mods. I have a VERY luxurious 1989 GTA Trans Am that makes 1000hp at the wheels and is Built for road courses. It has heated leather racing seats, digital displays, and 6spd transmission. @@PistonTrends I understand. However your video title *literally* asks the question, "Is the FIREBIRD Trans-AM WS6 the RAREST Pontiac?". I was responding to the question you asked me, which references every Pontiac ever made.
not by a long shot. The ws6 got bastardized and over quoted. WS6 has been around for decades. I have had pontiacs for over 40 years.
