What is the hieghest stable ram speed u managed to get with 7950x3d? Cause some reviewers said they only get 6000mhz while with 7800x3d he managed 7600mhz Is that due to bad silicin with his 7950x3d ir its a problem with all 7950x3d chips

don't follow this lol just get better cooling 38688 should be stock without playing with anything i get 43000 5.7ghz all core 1.3v 6200mhz on ram. get offset mount for CPU as the ccds are not center to the cooling block. and don't buy the 7950x3d they are shit house. its all down to cooling if you want the most out of the 7950x wouldn't bother overclocking the 3d chips they are junk.
Hello, just wanted to say I find your videos really informative. I just purchased the 670e Meg Ace w/ with a 7800x3d and g.skill 6000 cl30 expo w/ a 4090. All coming in next week so i am starting my research. My understanding is i can apply the same PBO optimization process across all 7000x cpu correct? I also see MSI just release a BIOS update to improve EXPO settings.
@@Omi-7k I cant find EXPO RAM higher than 6000, you would need to go with XMP to go with higher speed i think, heard that with recent BIOS versions people are able to run at higher speed than 6000 for AM5 but i think its better to stick with EXPO supported RAM, since they're tunned by AMD if you got this motherboard make sure to try those options that i show here : ua-cam.com/video/OTRLY97AR5I/v-deo.html you can reduce boot time by a lot hope its useful 👍
Not really low, it's within the same bracket, what clocks are u getting ? Also if u have other things running in the background they contribute to a lower score, I make sure to not have anything running and CPU utilization is 0%
@@TECHOSAUR I made sure nothing was running in the background and I was maxed getting 5,5005. You were getting above 36k with your score and I was almost at 2k. I seemed much further off then what you were getting, lol. But i'm brand new to this stuff. I built a PC for Animating and am trying to squeeze as much out of my 7950x as I can - safely.
I have been tweeking for 3 days trying to get the boost to hit 5.7 again. Every time I start messing with my cpu, my ram starts acting a lil slower. Anyone have any idea on how to tackle either?
Its 32 gb kit (16x2) ddr5 6000 cl36 kit from Kingston. Ive been benching against myself in userbenchmark which I know is a terrible site, but if you're just comparing the same exact component than the data actually becomes somewhat useful. Wrong by actual metrics, but it will let you know if something is running slower than it usually is. Which is what I use it for. My normal bench for ram shows 78+gbs on multi, 60.8 single, 66 latency. Has stayed that way since I first benched there. Now its at 68 multi, 58 single and 78 latency. I know those numbers aren't relevant to actual speeds, but they are letting me know my latency has gone up while the speed has gone down. I have tested my ram when I first built my pc and I tried 4800, 5600, 5800 and 6000 and tested how the feel in game. At least for me I get microstutters at anything lower than 6000mhz. I'm also new to the enthusiast pc world. I took this year to inform myself and learn how2pc. So all info or suggestions you can give me id be very appreciative for. I taught myself allot so far like how to use msi afterburner, or like right here and now where I've been applying and also looking up oc options for my cpu and tweaking them until I'm satisfied. Ram is one thing I have not learned in any measure how to control outside xmp/expo.
How is your core voltage going down as far as 0.8v? When i have things on stock, it wont go below 1.3x. Iv been trying all day, and i thought i remembered seeing it around 0.8x when i first installed HWinfo, but iv never seen it go that low again. Iv tried doing a CMOS reset to realy get back to stock settings, but nothing will get the voltage anywhere near dropping below 1v at idle.
Did you check in bios if you have increased voltage offset ? If so keep it on auto, also check in DIGI+ VRM power control if you have recently changed Load-Line Calibration settings
I have the same cpu and board as you. I did a fresh install of Windows, reset bios defaults, and then it dropped back to 0.7xx when I made it into Windows. But after restarting, it was back up to over 1.3x... so I need to confirm that this is a bios thing, and not a window thing. I'm going to try another CMOS full reset and then make it down from there which setting is causing this issue.
@@Eikonic_ They just released a new BIOS version 7D69v151(Beta version) Installed it just after making this video and so far stability is same as before , they previously have deleted the BIOS i had installed on their page In case you didn't install it try it and see if it fixes voltage ⚡
It's strange how my 7950X at all default BIOS settings nothing changed even the RAM is at 4800 MHz default speed. And in Cinebench R23 i get a Multi Core of 39093 points score Single Core of 2061 points score And that's everything at BIOS defaults nothing changed. Makes me wonder if i'm silicon lucky or something. And on my 7950X at these defaults all 16 cores boost to 5.7GHz and a bit over that, dynamically ofcourse not all at once
@@Gielderst nice build its amazing how you got that high score on cinebench 23 with an air cooler, in the future if you upgrade to an AIO custom loop its probably going to be higher xD
@Adnan Tech Honestly, i'm also baffled by that score, especially at all stock BIOS defaults and lower standard RAM frequency. I think it might be due to the ridiculous 4x 200mm case fans which blow the max amount of air from outside the case inside of it. And that my room temperature is very low around 10°C cause i don't like warm climate i love the cold room air. Or maybe the " Silicon Gods " have blessed me with a unique 7950X. I'll see once i start tinkering with Overclocking with Curve Optimizer most likely instead of a manual OC. And the Noctua NH-D15 with the 3x 140mm fans is a freaking chonky brick of an air cooler and it does not disappoint on the 7950X not one bit. I've never had liquid cooling in my life cause i don't like the idea of potential leaks as unlikely they may be. Better play it safe with all air cooling 😎 👌
@@Gielderst maybe the ambient temp is a reason for that peformance and also good silicon and airflow by fans, i have an ambient temp of 24c and the cpu on idle has like 38 and in gaming 50c
