Today the 2011 distilled 2024 Winter release from the Lowland distillery, Daftmill. This one is all first fill bourbon! Join us on Patreon @ / topshelfwhisky
Actually Lowlands are growing now with new distilleries, lochlea, holyrood, eden mill, Clydeside, Glasgow, Lindores abbey, etc… in addition to bladnoch, auchentoshen, glenkinchie, daftmill. Rosebank is producing again as well. Even Littlemill has bottles coming out :)
There are several cask strength versions out there.... I have one labelled 'Fife Strength' at around 56% and it's fantastic (bottled for UK retailers though), I know there are a number of other similar releases that you might be able to find
I haven't tried any Daftmill but my understanding is they only produce Summer and Winter release whiskies for their standard releases, as they're too busy farming in Spring and Autumn (Fall). There was a fascinating vPub where Roy/Aqvavite talked to Francis Cuthbert from Daftmill; worth a look.
got the same bottle as you fellers and at msrp, i reckon we got from same uk store. i loved it, one of my favorite drams i tasted this yr

when it comes to lowlands you gotta try bladnoch, they have amazing stuff, for me among the top destilleries all among scottland lately
I would love to know where you can get a Daftmill for about $100…. Great review!

That's a great point and I've heard something similar. Dustin and I really appreciate details.
