I made and filmed this DIY photo booth about 8 months ago. As I'm working on two different projects at the moment with neither finished I decided to finish editing this one and get it published. It was a fun project that I made for a friends 40th birthday party. I didn't want to make a boring square plywood box so I made it a little more interesting.
As always I'm happy to answer any questions.

you sure it wasn't really the first repeat of the 39th birthday?
Not having an iPad, is there an app that does the photo booth count down and 3 shot set, or is that just built in to the iPad?
@@gregmislick1117 I did a quick search and there are Android Photo booth Apps. Doesn't seem that there are many free ones though. Here's a few links to reviews and recommendations.

I'm not affiliated to any of these. Just trying to help you out. There is another one that is called SLR Booth but you will need a Digital camera to go along with the tablet. I have one similar to this that I use in conjunction with my Canon 7D and Samsung tablet. Especially when I'm taking pictures where my camera is at an uncomfortable angle. Like taking pictures of an eclipse where the camera is pointed almost straight up.
I love all of your projects and appreciate them. I'm learning from watching you do these projects. Thank you. I asked you a question in a previous project video about the serving platter with texture ( ua-cam.com/video/JTZ0kYyTyr0/v-deo.html ) about what was the yellow stuff in the bowl. I'm still curious. Thank you again.
@@woodandwheelz thank you very much for taking the time. I should have just looked it up myself rather than asking.
Funny how we forget the technology around us at the very moment we are using it.
Quick question: Has anyone recently mentioned that you are brilliant?! Great creativity and skills demonstrations...
As always, the best videos on UA-cam comes from you! Such a great cool idea, such a beautiful build. Pleasure to watch.
God, you're a clever bugger.
Thanks for the videos, I especially like that you name tools that you're using and show us your stuff ups and how you got around them. It really helps people like myself who are new to wood and metal working.
Love it! Simple, functional and fun! Another great build from one of the best creative minds on UA-cam.
I am guessing that things like "Just a plywood box" doesn't really find its way into your daily vocabulary 😄
Outstanding project Neil! Man you have such an artistic mind. Love the kerf-bending sides you did and weighted base. Very great ideas! If she was expecting a plywood box, she must have been blown away at this. Great work!
I get excited anytime I see you post a new video. You're just so fun to watch.
I second the above

Neil, the level of your imagination and creativity still amazes me. Some of the big makers on UA-cam, although they're great in their own way, seem to struggle to think of new ideas (even Diresta?)... but you keep em coming! Very inspiring, as always. Thank you : )
Once again you prove what a clever bugger you really are! I’m going to have to do this one for my 13 yr old daughter’s next Birthday, she’ll be over the moon!!! Thanks for sharing your brilliance!
Your friend must have been thrilled Neil! Isn't it fun to exceed someone's expectations and hit a project out of the park? You seem to always hit home runs with your builds, so I'm sure you get to experience that thrill on a regular basis! Well done Sir!
Who the heck would dislike this?! This is an amazing work! Thank you ! Make more please!
Very cool project! I loved to watch all the process. Never tried the technique for creating round corners but now you made me wanting to do something using it!
Thanks Cris! I've only done it a couple of times. I've just worked it out with trial and error using scraps to get the best bend. :)
What type of wood and how many mm thick did you use to achieve this bend? Thanks
Great video!! My Dad made cupboards using the "This is the right diameter can" method when I was 5 or 6!! That was in the late '60's!! Love all your projects!!
Such a cool and creative idea for “just a plywood box”
Turned out great and it’s no wonder it was a hit.
Now you know they’re going to expect you to up your game in 10 years. 😉
What a lovely and original project. I've not seen this kind of build anywhere else. Great work.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
👌👍
I love the way you conceive your projects and how you work with wood. With the simplicity of genius. Congratulations from Spain.
Love the kerf cutting shots! And the way you made the turn knobs. Great project
What a cool and inventive thing, Dude, I think you really outdid yourself with this one. Well thought out design and done with care and attention to detail. Thanks for bringing us along. Gave me some ideas for use on a few things I have been kicking around.
Damn, that's beautiful, as always you did a terrific job. Thanks for sharing your creation.
Wow, well done sir. I can see the great fun all night long. Loved the finishing techniques and the photos as well -beautiful Jack Russell! Thanks for sharing! :)
Loved the video and the project, Neil. What a great gift for you to make someone. Good on ya.
I continue to be amazed at your creativity, sir. As always, thanks so much for sharing.
Steve

Thanks Matt! :)
Another great project, loved the photos with the pups at the end!!!!
That's a bloody corker, mate👍
Awesome job, and easy to see why it was a hit at the party👌
And to top it off, you got some really great snaps of you and the dogs.
They are looking to be in good health and cute as ever...
Mighty fine. What a fun project. You do come up with some neat ideas.
Now that is a project I would never have thought to make looks like a great party hit!
A GREAT build and very entertaining. Well done Neil
Love it! The kerf bending was a great idea for the corners. I'm sure this thing was immensely popular.
That's a brilliant build! Love the kerf cuts for the corners!
WoW !!!!, That's a Great Project. I just Love It
Keep up the good content. When I get notified that you have uploaded a video I know I will be setting the time that day to watch.
Wicked stuff like normal mate! Not 1 boring video and you sir are 1 talented guy!
This is another great video of you where i learned a few new techniques! Thank you for that!
That was cool! Cant wait to see what you make from the scraps!
Always fun watching you. Keep up the good work! 💪
Du und Diresta seid eine besten Handwerker bei UA-cam - You and Diresta are one of the best craftsman on UA-cam

C'mon man! This is such a blast. Really love it!
Absolutely amazing!
Lot of work! Excellent job
Greta video Neil, what a great build and so innovative in your thinking, thanks mate.
I probably wouldn’t use one of these, but I WOULD use the techniques. This is why I like your videos; such a great variety of projects! As they say, something for everyone.
Neil, this is fantastic. Really cool idea and excellent construction.
Love the simple but elegant design! Nice job!
Really nice video, man. Your photo booth looks great and I've learned a lot of great techniques from watching.
You're very skilled! Thanks for posting!
Sweet plywood box ;) I bet everyone loved it!!! Well done!
What a smashing project. I can see why it was well received.
Wow that came out great!
Really cool idea! I just don’t understand how someone could give a “thumbs down”. Thanks for sharing.
I love this. Has your creativity no bounds? This is the dumbest, most brilliant thing you have conjured in some time. It's a gorgeous but ridiculously simple plywood stand to hold a common-or-garden iPad. An ingenious design for a trivial application to be used in a most artistic and creative and inventive manner by the inept.
I think you should name it the Paradox Box.
If Pask is making u something don't expect it to be basic, expect great craftsmanship and attention to detail..10/10..
A masterpiece Neil, terrific!
This is such a brilliant idea! It's no surprise that it was such a success at the party. Loved watching the build. You had me thinking of guitar building a few times. Thanks for this excellent video!! :)
Awesome project. Well made. Thanks for sharing what you do.
Great video - and fun to watch.
Brilliant. Very well done Sir! Greetings from Southport UK!

Genius design!
So good. I always love your work.
Awesome and truly brilliant !!
Very cool Neil. I can imagine that must have been a real hit at the party.
Thats badass. Well done sir.
Man that was an awesome build Pask! No wonder it went over so big at the party. Must be nice having a friend like you......................... :)
Thanks Steve! :)
Another splendid job. Nice one mate
Great Build!! I build iPad photo booths myself for the past 2 years and I this build is very impressive 👍👍
What a great idea!!! Great job (as usual)
I just built a DIY photobooth myself and am now rethinking the whole thing. Mine looks like a birdhouse compared to this. This is amazing. My dad and I are going to study this video for a few days and then make one ourselves. Thank you for the inspiration.
Can you please show us your creation
Okay this is awesome!!
Very interesting and a pleasure to watch
top job, by a top man. as always thanks for sharing every video you make is top notch
Wow, that’s so neat!
Had one like this on my wedding. Should have build it myself 😅. Another great video Neil, thanks and I'll see you on the next one 😉
Love you videos my friend. My favorite thing is that your original. There are so many copycats on UA-cam. After a while you learn who original material creator's really are. I can only see so many epoxy pours 🤯😜.
Blessings from Kansas City, United States.
I am fascinated by your work.
my friend always a great job going to make one when I have in the style of black folding camera box with flash on thanks for the inspiration.
Great work man!
Outstanding.
An excellent video showing something which may not appeal to everyone, but well filmed and edited to keep me watching and coming back for me... just glad there were no snakes in this one 🤣
Incredible!! I wish you lived close I’d love to take a class and try making this myself. This has been the best diy photo booth I’ve seen so far. 😊
So satisfying to watch...
That's great! This must be a favorite device!

Awesome project. Thank you for sharing.
