    Just want to say this video deserves more views. Unfortunately most Americans don't understand what you mean by fish fragrance. They think of fish not what it actually means. Absolutely Love your channel. And appreciate your authenticity 👍❤️

    I really love your videos! I cannot wait to try these recipes! Do you have a recipe for Twice Cooked Pork? This is one of my favorites, but it is hard to find places that make this dish well. The pork is usually too lean and tough, and the sauce is not flavorful enough.

    Hi Miss I think you are terrific ..my question to you is that I'm just learning Chinese cooking but my problem is when I heat the wok then put oil in it and add garlic and ginger they instantly burn so I'm doing something wrong...can you help me please.

    • @SoupedUpRecipes
      @SoupedUpRecipes  7 років тому +2

      How long the garlic and ginger start burning? When cooking Chinese food, the wok is super hot. Usually, we only give it very short time (about 10 seconds) to release the flavor.

    • @luckypete0879
      @luckypete0879 7 років тому +1

      Yes I had the wok very hot and then put the peanut oil the centre of the wok and ran it around the sides of the wok then i put both garlic and ginger in together then it just about went brown black instantly so i am doing something wrong here Miss.

    • @SoupedUpRecipes
      @SoupedUpRecipes  7 років тому

      Few minutes just to cook the pork through.

    The really good Chinese restaurant that closed had a shredded beef and pepper dish. The beef was shredded but had a coating on it. I presume if I were to sub beef for the pork it this recipe and to use the sauce from your beef lo mein video, it may replicate that restaurant's dish.

      Wokshop.com, I own a few woks by them and they are great, just have to make sure that you season the wok properly

      The wok I use is a cast iron wok. I bought it randomly on the street in China.
      Maybe you can try to look for it Not sure if you can buy things on Amazon.
      I didn't find the same exact one on Amazon, but this one is close and has good reviews. You can check it out: amzn.to/2u6hluI
      Maybe you can look for it in an Asain market. I am pretty sure you can find this type of wok easily around where you live.

      I recommend the Utopia concave cast iron wok. It is shaped exactly like the traditional Chinese wok but it fits perfectly for any stove. It is cheaper than the lodge wok. I got it from Amazon. The best wok would be a carbon steel wok because it conducts heat much better and you can toss food. Cast iron isnt that good at heat conduction, but is not a bad choice.

      They're actually used for asian restaurants you don't normally see them at a asian house. We use a normal Wok.

    Aloha Mandy, I'm going to Chinatown in Honolulu to see if can find the pickled chili sauce today. If I can't find it, I will try your pickled chile recipe and make this wonderful dish (24 hours after making the sauce lol). Great teaching in offering options.

    I think you are using pork loin, not pork tenderloin. The tenderloin is much darker meat.
