Trinity Alps: Mount Hilton

Went back to Mount Hilton in Trinity Alps: after last year the mushy snow stopped me under the peak, this year some hard, solid snow allowed me to get to the top and enjoy a breathless panorama.

The conditions were perfect this time, as I said, the snow was hard, even icy towards the top, and the skies were clear, but windy and quite cold (several degrees under freezing), with gusty winds.
Equipment: crampons, ice axe and proper clothing. Carried the snowshoes but did not use them.

Yep - the view from the top is stunning - I think one of the best in the Trinities I encountered

Crampons? microspikes? and/or snowshoes ?

Crampons essentials - and need the steel ones, it was quite icy (microspikes not enough) also ice axe. Carried snowshoes - but not needed - the snow was quite hard.
