As a child, I was not taught to love myself.
I wasn't taught to respect, trust, or listen to myself either. I wasn't taught to care for myself and have compassion for myself. Instead, I as taught to people-please, say yes to everything, and worry greatly about how I looked and what other people thought of me.
It took conscious effort and a lot of reprogramming and reparenting to begin taking actions to love myself. Last week, a viewer on this channel commented and asked I would make a video on this topic. It was a pleasure!
