It is wild that you think Hanks lie was worse. Virginity is an actual religious belief. Hank lied about the reason he was sick, and he was forced into the situation. This would be like Peggy saying she is a virgin, when she had been assaulted. Hanks lie was avoiding a misunderstanding. Peggies was purely out of self interest.

What makes Hanks worse is that his was a direct lie versus Lying by omission on top of the fact that we've already established that the religious part has nothing to do with it if anything Hanks reaction to a lie is worse because he was willing to help f*** over Luann's life out of spite

Hank was literally willing to ruin two lives out of a Grudge against someone else

In all fairness, Peggy was told directly what happened with the girl and Hank and broke some cow ribs despite being told Hank was essentially assaulted 💀

Should do the Boomhower brother's wedding ep. never have i seen a more pointless episode that just feels so wrong and empty. A character we never saw, over a character we know isn't staying, and the out of character drama. It's like a King of the Hill episode from a parallel universe. That or the guys steal Dale's mower ep that one is comedy gold.

    Great video as always, Harvey!
Could you please cover "Goodby Normal Jeans"? I personally love that episode but everyone seems to despise it because it showcases Peggy being petty for basically no reason and Dale being... Dale.

I need the flashback scene of Hank wearing huge pants pretending he's tiny.

Mid watching this, find it funny that Peggy is mad at Hank for something that in their mind would be far far worse

My only argument with this is that hanks was mostly out of his control and didn’t know the exact consequences of his actions to an understandable degree while Peggy’s was her own choice by her own volition which whole yes she learned later that it wasn’t a good thing to keep from hank it still is damaging and deceptive to keep a secret from him. It also mainly dives into hanks and Peggy’s character since they are both devout Christian Texan conservatives so not having sex before marriage should be a thing instilled in them to begin with. While I do agree with you Harvey on hank being very naive to the point he almost can’t accept anything outside his own sense of logic, I don’t believe fully that Peggy wasn’t at least a bit like hank in that regard. Yet again the series seems wishywashy on how prudish hank and Peggy are. I’ll admit both were in the wrong for lying but hanks feels more worse for him as a character. Mainly cause he was very faithful and abstinent until marriage and hearing Peggy had sex before they even dated destroyed his perception of her and his own views on the situation.

although i think part of this is my own biased opinion so you can take with it what you will but also the facts i say first hand are true.

Me again! Had a little factoid pop into my head that I had to share!
Carrie Strugg was forced by her coach to perform her routine despite the fact she had a badly twisted ankle. In the end, she won the gold, but only just and was hailed as a "sports hero" for it despite what happened in the background.

Yes, it was determined that Moceanu's score would've been enough to cinch the gold medal, but at the time Rosa Galieva of Russia hadn't performed her floor routine, so that wasn't known yet. Sadly her injury kept her out of the all around and floor exercise finals, the latter of which she scored higher in qualifying than the eventual gold medalist, Lilia Podkopayeva of the Ukraine.

Peggy lied too, did the episode overlook that as well?

She came clean of the lie a long time ago and Hank kept his share a secret. Or her mother told Hank. Either way, he knew, making it the second greatest story ever told. In some people's opinion at least.
