In today's episode Jason & Greg talk about their top 5 80s Sticker Albums! It's Friday so that must mean some Fun Facts, and Greg has invented a new section of the show!
glad to see you guys back, we missed you on monday. I never filled any of the sticker albums i had :( nor did i ever fill out the little cardboard order form. i do remember swapping stickers at school though. I had a return of the jedi album and always had the football sticker albums. LOVE LOVE LOVE The new section!!!!!
Awesome episode :) My favourite retro sticker albums were: Transformers The Goonies Panini's Football '88 Dandy/Beano '50 Golden Years' album World Wildlife Fund (WWF) album - which also had "Stick 'n' lift" centre pages :D
Awesome episode, I didnt think you would mention M.A.S.K, I remember flipping out as a kid when I got the shiny Rhino sticker in a pack, Got , Got...Neeeed !!!
Another awesome episode. Loved sticker albums as a kid dread to think how much I spent over the years. Is it me or are the shiny stickers not as shiny as they used to be?
The Panini football sticker books were indeed very popular and I collected most of them during the 80's. The only other sticker book that I can remember having was a Transformers one which was very good. Looking forward to more snot facts now that the supply of fart related info has run out. And I hope that Greg's made a full recovery from his bout of 'Bum Bisto'! ;-)
Yep I'm with Greg. Beano sticker album was brilliant. Stinky stickers was another massive one down in Devon. Scratch and sniff sticker album. 1990 WWF sticker album too
Those albums bought back some memories. Particularly the Jedi one. I had a Gremlins album that would be my favourite. No shiny stickers or foil cards back then. How about a feature on Garbage pail kids stickers. Love the new section but I can't watch that clip without thinking of the outtakes. Coincidentally I'm collecting the world of Batman sticker album now with my oldest boy, Panini are still going strong .
Great stuff! I remember the Return Of The Jedi album very well, and never managed to complete that huge picture near the start. The He-man album was massively popular at my school. (Though I do remember ending up with about 20 of the Trapjaw sticker...) Another favourite was the Transformers sticker album, which may have been the only one I ever completed. Sadly, long gone. Hope Greg is feeling a lot better now!
At the start of this video, I was trying to recall which album had the pvc sheet that allowed you to move clear stickers around. Managed to remember it was the beano/dandy one before Greg mentioned it. That would have been my number one
Jason your singing makes me cry 😁 I might av had stickers can't remember. Come on Greg get the set sorted I waiting for the great reveal!!! loved it again though u two make me laugh 😅
I never got the appeel (see what I did there peel, as in stickers? No. OK moving on) in sticker books, maybe it was a boy thing. Hope Greg is feeling better now xx
Those sticker books must have been mostly a British thing. I was born in 1971, so I was the right age for collecting things like that, and I do not remember those type of books here. Stickers were popular here in the US in the early 80's, but mainly for girls. They would collect and trade them, then put their collections in photo albums. They made stickers aimed for boys, but most boys collected trading cards instead. Mainly Baseball cards, but other sports cards and movie cards were popular also. I mostly only collected the Star Wars ones then, but I would buy others also. Trading cards are still commonly sold grocery store even today,
Where was The Real Ghostbusters sticker album?!?!?! Not even an honourable mention?! I am appalled! ;-) my younger cousin tore mine up in a tantrum one Christmas and I then sent hours trying to selotape it back together... it was never the same again. But 25 years later... I purchased a complete one on eBay in mint condition. True story.

Also you could maybe have an 'art gallery' for your back wall, getting viewers to send things, 80's themed to go on there? xx
