Now that they’ve announced books 2 and 3, I hope they can learn from the various criticisms people have. The actors (especially Gordon) have so much potential and chemistry (which you can see in all the interviews), the writing just sort of overshadows that
I've watched a couple of review videos and they all have the same point in common: "It's not like the cartoon". Of course it's not like the cartoon! That show had 61 episodes. They're trying to compress a lot of plot into a mini series. Some elements will be left out. I don't think people realize how unrealistic their expectation are. It's a shame to see them just jump on the hate bandwagon. 🤔
Yeah, I’m fine with the adaptation being a more compressed version of the story. What makes me disappointed is how they seemed to have flattened and watered down Aang and Katara.
To boil down criticisms to just being unrealistic is not just insulting but it's stifling people's reaction to the media they consume. Can you tell me there is absolutely nothing wrong with this series? That every problem pointed out just doesn't exist? Or is it just hard to deal with the fact that people don't like something you do?
If they couldn't remake the series then they shouldn't have tried to do exactly that. The animated series is excellent and the live-action one tried to do the same exact thing except it failed. If the Netflix series had been an original story in the world of Avatar, it would have been more salvageable but as it is, it's a pale copy of an existing masterpiece that does nothing better and most things worse
One of the worst changes in the show in my opinion was making it so that Aang didn't run away from his responsibilities as the Avatar. And yet they are trying to make him more quilty and willing to make up for his mistakes. Despite the fact that ne never ran away.
Hard disagree. I genuinely prefer this Netflix show over Season 1. (Although the original is still above solely cause of the 2 seasons, but i firmly believe this adaptation will nail it. Then again, i prefer Korra so...)
I was okay with the live action version of the character until the finale, when Zhao basically called Aang a coward and Aangs response was "you're right I'm sorry" and then seemed to just give up before other characters stepped in. Such a pathetic moment.
I personally will probably just stick to re-watching the animated series. I'm tired of all of the live action adaptations, they're unnecessary and very few live up to the original source material. I wish the show the best of luck but I don't see the appeal. Great video
This movie produced amazing actors gordon cormier is freaking good. So popular now. Guesting in todays show good morning america and the tonights show future. I love aang
@@Sagegabs my spider man 2 video was less of a critique and more of an examination of the themes found in the game. I have expressed outside the video the obvious faults found within the story of the game.

Hey Ranni can you please do a video talking about how the Deadly six from sonic lost world are based on the seven deadly sins?
@@joshuasebsebe1047 hmmm that’s interesting I have to look more into the game
The saddest thing about bad adaptations is that they would ruin artists careers.
Yes like snow white almost ruined Rachel zegler career if she didn't do the hunger games
The VFX was the best part of this show
Criticism aside i loved the zuko and iroh scenes and all the added context just made the stuff in the cartoon hit harder
Zuko and Iroh were the best parts of the show!

your video shows exactly what made me not like the live action, i'll still whatch it thought
i’m just waiting for the animation of the gaang as adults that comes out next year!!
Yeah, that's gonna be hype! And the Zuko movie after that!
bruh i watched this aang actor in stuff that wasn't this show and he acts more like aang than he is in the show
real. it's really the show's writing that dampens his natural charm as aang.
What's the name of the Sonic game that you played yesterday in the live stream?
Sonic Mania lol
thanks

Like sonic prime didn't understand sonic?
Lmao
Nice video
Thank you!
How could they go from live action one piece too this
Lucky for us, we are now gonna get 2 more seasons of this bland unnecessary adaptation

of course he’s not, Aang is animated
It's intresting how you were able to find the things that didn't work in this show (which I agree) but you coped so hard in Spider-Man 2 for the PS5.

@@Sagegabs no I haven’t made a video. But I might make one.
There is no way that is Aang. I much prefer your pitch for Aang.👍
To the creator of this video: SHUT UP!!! If you know better why dont you audition for Aang or make a movie about ATLA yourself???
Lol
This is so sad
Uhhh did you Watch the video at all? Cause this is plain stupid
