Or for that purpose you would recommend a 70-200 or 70-300 ff lens?

Love your review. You are one of the view creators here that shows stuff he shots. Other people are just talking how great they are and haven‘t shown an single picture they took.
The thing that puts me off the Sony is the crappy menu system where I need a UI that lets me get to the setting I need within seconds. The other thing I hate about this camera is the fact that they market the camera for its amazing 8k video then give you a sub-standard LCD that doesn’t flip-out and looks like it belongs in 2005. Hopefully one day Sony will deliver a camera that does the basics as well as all the great stuff they do so well
I'm conflicted. I love your videos and am hugely interested in the Sony ecosystem as a result. However, I currently own a Fuji x100f. Every time I see a Sony video I am inspired to purchase Sony, then I watch a Fuji video and I am equally inspired to go Fuji. What do I do? I am not so much invested in Fuji as to make the change difficult but I do love the Fuji system colour profiles. For what I want and my budget I can get slightly better specs for a cheaper price by going Fuji. Then again Sony has that full frame goodness which is so appealing.

Nice video Jason. A quick question: Why does everything look to juttery starting from 10:08 (the 8k 24p video sample on a gimbal)? Did you use a way higher shutter speed and thereby introducing this jutter effect? What is your take on only having 4:2:0 with heavy compression available in 8k? Everyone on youtube seems to ignore this fact. There is a reason you managed to get like 50min of footage on those 160gb cards instead of what for example the Canon R5 in 8k raw is using (it's like 400mb/s vs more than 3gb/s or something like that).
I love your enthusiasm which always makes it so much fun to watch your content. Where did you take the videos of the peacocks and the Japanese buildings. I would love to visit these places. I live in the Inland Empire. Again, I love watching your videos.

Hey there Jason, thanks for the review! 👍 I have a question about the SD cards (3:46). You showed how (comparably) slow the buffer cleared when using an SD card instead of the new (Sony-exclusive and not cheap) CFexpress Type A cards. But could you also tell/show us how long the SD card needs to buffer burst mode shots when using COMPRESSED raw and jpeg? I don't think I will ever use the uncompressed or lossless compressed raw in burst mode bc of image size (you say so yourself, that would be bonkers ;-) but unfortunatelly you skipped that part in your video). I have my doubts about the CFexpress Type A cards and don't want to replace all my SD memory cards just yet while the technology is still so fresh and not very "mainstreamed". Cheers Melanie
I am new to this stuff The 8k temple footage seems smooth but then skips a few frames... is that the recording, or the video software? Footage and clarity look awesome, but it seemed jittery...
I remember filming a wedding at this Arboretum years ago that had the peacocks so I went back. Most had their tail trains closed. I scored later right when we were about to leave 😂😂😂
Maybe it's my mid range Lenovo panel, but that peacock, is too peacocking sharp. It looks like it's coming through that WandaVision forcefield. And keep in mind none of this is a dig. It's like when you saw a flat screen TV for the first time and all that high def hurt your eyes. That image was striking AF.

Hi Jason, thanks for the video. Does anyone know if an external monitor can be used via HDMI from the A1, WITHOUT the A1 switching off its internal display when recording? I’ve got the A7SIII and it’s such an improvement over the A7iii in terms of monitor both the cameras display and an external Small HD monitor when shooting.

The 24GM and the 135GM... and now the 50GM also have the XD motors. In fact the 135 and the 50 have quad XD motors.

The majority of the people want the Sony A1 camera, but honestly, most people don't need it.
Please do a vertigo effect with 8K and use post zoom to make the effect extreme in post with the Sony A1 :D I'm just curious

since i use multi cam for videos... all of them. Just kidding. Kinda. For solo stuff, I'd invest in an a1 tbh. All in one body.
