  • Hey droods, today I bring you the first in a series of tutorial videos showing how to program your own multi-function display (MFD). The MFD part type was released in October, 2020 as part of the ‘Taking Control’ update. They are quite complex, and require a basic working knowledge of the visual programming language, Vizzy. However, my hope is that after watching this series you will feel more confident in creating your own custom MFD!
Here is what I cover in this video:
    1. What is an MFD and how they are typically used
    2. How to load onto craft, attachment points, dimensions, tinker panel for further scaling
    3. Out of the box MFDs
    4. Editing MFD code for custom
    5. ‘Secret’ tutorials
    6. Introduction to widgets
    Up next: Widgets Galore!

I don't know what it is but when it comes to programming, even easy visual programmers like this one, my brain just shuts down.

Cool video. I'm working on making a gauge cluster that I can easily reconfigure. The hardest part so far has been trying to easily adjust the placement of stuff on the screen.

@@GozinyaSpace Well I think I have figured out a way to adjust the gauges. Though to me it feels like I'm just brute forcing it through. I'm still looking forward to your next video to see how you are doing it.

You can use it to get the height of the terrain, and can find a flat landing spot.
