- Its been 10 years since Tomodachi lifes worldwide release in North America and Europe, and with a Nintendo direct in motion this month fans are expecting to see another entry. But if not now, how much longer will we have wait for tomodachi life 2?

Honestly, if the Tomodachi Life 2 game comes out, it would be on a new console (hopefully the next one after the switch.) Mainly because Tomodachi Life if more playable with multiple screens and the Switch is literally **7** years old.

One of the biggest factors against a tomodachi life 2 is unfortunately, homophobia. Countries like Russia refuse give games that include queerness anything other than an 18+ rating or an outright ban. And because of the advancement of society on this aspect, nintendo cannot make a truly accurate life sim without including queerness. Nintendo wants to retain its image as a family friendly company, so they at least partially don't want to make a sequel out of fear for pissing off the countries that refuse to queerness as a normal thing.
But there is hope, since nintendo did still make and send out the miitopia remake after it got its 18+ rating in Russia for vaguely hinting at the existence of gay people, so there's still a chance.

I'm starting to lose hope after Nintendo Direct didn't reveal a new tomodachi life game. It looks like a new tomodachi life game will most likely be on the next gen Nintendo console.
I think that we'll definitely get a new game, honestly don't think that it'd be a remake but an entirely new one. I don't think Nintendo would renew their rights to TomoDachi Life for nothing, cauz I bet that stuff ain't cheap xD so my guess there is that it has already been in production for quite a while and I think it'd be a game on the newer console rather than the Switch. Nintendo has seen the hype in the comments for TomoDachi Life over the past years and I'd say they'd take this opportunity to launch it on the new console to get the sales + hype up. But it'd be cool on the Switch as well! No matter when or where it comes, Imma buy it the moment it releases 😎
Seeing as how the nintendo accounts have miis in it, I can't see that whatever we get next wouldn't have them. Along with the nintendo museum using Miis. Fingers crossed that we get Tomodachi life sooner rather then later
3:52 how I hate those lame sportsmates. To think that Nintendo gave the miis a comeback with the remastered Miitopia game back in 2021 only to double cross them again a year later in the latest entry of the Wii Sports series with those stupid sportsmates as the main focus.

Sadly, Nintendo has no plans for a sequel. The game originally was out as another program for the streetpass feature which was deprecated after the eShop closure. Despite the game needing streetpass to unlock some locations, it may not be possible to have a sequel for the switch as the streetpass feature was never released on the switch.
Nintendo should release Tomodachi Life because of what they did to the 3DS And Wii U Store and online that they shouldn't've shut down to begin with. And if not make a sequel.
Edit: And because the game got so much love and attention from us fans that we need to keep preaching about this. And other games such as Animal Crossing New Leaf needs to be on the Switch or Switch 2.
