I have one and it's super strong and sturdy...great quality also...super smooth...caught so many stripers with it and it's still smooth as new...even caught a 32" stripers the other day with it...kastking is so under rated...

Looks nice! I’m having trouble with baitcatsers right now. Just lost 6 lures in one day. Maybe I gotta get this reel to get better!

What knot are you tying? Are you fishing in a lot of rocks? If you're just losing it in grass then use heavier line or/and tie a uni knot at least.

I get it….I come up with reasons why I need to buy new gear myself….I recently told my wife I thought I was allergic to the finish on a reel!
Nice review and reel, I use a Shimano tranx in the saltwater in Ireland for Atlantic sea bass, would the kastking be good in the salt

What kind of rod did you use for the reel? Like a fast medium? Or fast action medium heavy??
MH fast action! But you could also use a heavy fast. Consider subscribing for more fishing content and reviews!

Is there a reason most baitcasters only hold 100 yard I just bought this reel also its crazy you gotta buy musky reels to get decent line capacity
I am not sure, my curado dc holds plenty for me to last all year (unless i tangle it and Razor it). But this Megatron holds 150yd of 30lb braid whiich is good. Also make aure to check out my other videos and subscribe if you haven’t yet!
So since this video how is the reel holding up?
It is holding up great
My 50lb braid always backlashes or gets stuck on this reel unless my tension is pretty high. Should I change my brake or tension settings? Or get new braid?
Hey I would change the break up and try out the PowerPro v2 braid. That is my favorite braid because it is super slick and very smooth to cast!
