I've had my F-Pace just on 12 months now, and I still love driving it. The SC 3.0ltr is awesome, and the wicked exhaust note still excites. My all-black Prestige looks gorgeous, & turns heads - it's easy to feel good driving it. BUT......the old Jaguar bug-bear of quality remains a problem - it's been back to the dealer with several problems already.....not serious problems, but for this price it should be bug-free...(my X5 was!)A few things irk me - the pricing: heated seats, keyless entry, a CD player, & blindspot assist should not be options at this level of motoring. The standard Infotainment system is last-decade technology - my 5 year old X5 was better. I wish I'd known how slow the processor is, and how the touch-screen would frustrate me bcos I'd have paid for the optional Touch Pro package. And what is with the rotary dial gear selector? In use it's slow to operate when flipping from D to R & back when parking, and too easy to inadvertently slip into P. Not a nice feature - I notice they ditched it on the E-Pace. And finally, there is a lack of storage space in the cabin for coins, phone, etc.....and no light in the glove-box - really? In 2016? I hope my review is helpful to a few potential buyers - it's a good car, and a treat to drive, but don't say I didn't warn you about the pricing, features, & quality.
Ya know, if you like the F-Pace styling BUT if you want much higher quality, decent speed and lots of upscale amenities try a 2020 MAZDA CX 5 Signature - seriously. A 2.5 L. turbo with all the fixings. The CX 5 has a lot of the F-pace styling, closer than any other SUV.
Test drove Porsche Macan, BMW X3/4, Audi Q5, Mercedes GLC350, and bought the F-Pace. Compared to the competition, the Jag is simply the best combination of size, power, comfort, handling and technology. Time will tell if the long-term reliability and re-sale are acceptable. For a new to market vehicle, in the hottest market segment, Jaguar knocked this one out of the park. F-PACE FIRST EDITION - Exterior Color: Rhodium Silver Wheels: 22" Double Helix 15 spoke with Grey finish and contrast inserts That's what me & my wife drove home 2 weeks ago. It is stunning & lots of strangers keep on complimenting this car, here in New York... Have a great day to y'all
its been a year now with your F-Pace, do you still feel the same about it? Have you had any issues/problems with it? Would love to hear your feedback as I'm thinking about buying one...
Jaguar should really add sliding rear seats to increase rear leg room dramatically, after all, people buy SUV because they need the extra room, otherwise they would just get a sports car. Also, the reclining rear seat backs don't have to be powered, manual recline works faster and more reliable.
I really like this vehicle at least on paper and youtube. I still need to go and get a closer look. Also, thanks for pointing out the plastics. You are the first person who has ever mentioned that as far as I've seen regarding this vehicle and I've watched quite a few reviews at this point. The bottoms of the doors on the Caddy XT5 also have some plastic and I believe most auto reviewers point that out. Some reviewers definitely have some brand prejudices. I may hang on to my 2007 Tahoe LTZ a little longer. It definitely has some hard plastics, but at 127000 mi (not km), it still has lots of life and never lets me down.
This is the best looking crossover with the best handling on the market. The fandans banging on about plastics and touchscreens have never driven it or they'd shut the fuck up.
I agree! Only buyers that are trying to say Cayenne too, but it just for people who cannot afford it but feel that stole a Cayenne! Cayenne Turbo S start around $145K! All options, $175K!
Oh I'm sorry I could have sworn its a Jeep Cheorkee, actually it has a Ford Explorer on some sides. Actually being compared to a German car for reliability is not a good thing :D
Bought an F-Pace over the Macan because I like to drive a 'spirited' car, and the supercharged engine in F-Pace is more fun than the turbo lag in the macan and waiting for it to kick in. (this was main reason I chose F-pace..but there were other minor things as well for me)
Halogens are standard on the Base and Premium model with the vision package upgrading you to Xenon with LED DRL, Prestige model comes standard with Xenon with LED DRL, LED are available with Vision Package, while R-Sport and S include LED standard.
More space in the back seat, no sloped roofline like the Macan has making it more comfortable in the back. The F-Pace is also a very wide vehicle which is nice if you are a fat American like me lol
Just subbed as a mom of two 6months and 2 I'm looking to buy an affordable but sexy crossover or mid size SUV I would like at least a sun roof open to 5 or 7 seaters price range 35000-50000 any suggestions?
You should SERIOUSLY drive Toyota Sienna Limited AWD!!! You'll be surprised how it compares to almost any $70k SUV. More room, more comfort, more cargo, better turning radius, better off road capability. I have 2 of them, AWD, Not a single SUV can compare to them. Especially with realiability!!!
Hi Zack, I'd really love to hear your thoughts on touchscreens in cars. I'm 43y old and I find all of them very dangerous to use. I couldn't believe how governments make some regulations about them. I find my thoughts logical because there's the industry leading idrive system of BMW brand. And of course there's Mercedes' equivalent system. If it wasn't dangerous then these two brands would have used touchscreens in the firrst place. So what do you think?
solaide my father had owned a 1998 opel astra, it has a casette player and the securty light on it broke the year after he bought the car. We used the car until 2014 and sold it. While selling the car I noticed the light on it and understood that I've never looked at it while using it and forgot about it had broken.
Mert Imir touchscreen to me is the way to go, it's faster to use and easier to still drive while operating the infotainment system. Look at what's in Mercedes-Benz, is it possible to drive and use the mouse at the same time? can u have your hand on the mouse like control, eyes on the screen and road at the same time? U clearly have to park the car when driving to use the System effectively or set your controls before even taking off to any destination with a mouse or joystick controlled infotainment system. Even Bmw has switched to a touchscreen that says alot.
A friend of mine had one of these.. In the two months he owned it, it was in the shop approximately 30 days. Not worth anyone's money. Jaguar bought it back and he got an XC90
BananaChipzzz I'm sure that's a one off problem, I haven't seen reviews or people complaining about that and its been out for almost 6 months now and selling like hot cake. Jaguar gives 5 year warranty to address the issue of reliability and many are sold on it.
Samson Okoro well, according to my buddy, there were many others complaining of reliability issues similar to his. Jaguar does not exactly have a stellar reputation for reliability. Too bad 'cause thry make gorgeous cars.
I talked to a man about four years ago who had a new Jaguar for only a year and he said that he already had to bring it to the shop three times??!! However, I am starting to become a Jaguar fan because i love the Jaguar F Type R & S and i really like this F Pace too. I wouldn't mind having one of each type of car myself. I guess don't buy these cars if you really can't afford the repair costs because you will have reliability issues and when have English cars ever been known to make reliable cars anyways?
I thought you do reviews that, "We can generally afford, sometimes you'll see a high end car on this site" You say that in your intro video/ Lately its been these $70,000 cars
all these car reviews are on smooth roads in the country. how about reviewing the car after going some big pot holes. i just had an x3 which the ride was awful
Jaguar it is claiming high quality on interior and leather seats which is complete false advertising. My 2018 F-type driver seat leather come apart on the lower and upper part of a seat also wear and tear on low quality leather seat. Honestly I never ever have any issues with other cars I owned on leather seats than Jaguar F-Type. Jaguar warranty avoid my claim to fix the problem, so I end up with junk on my driveway. Not recommend Jaguar to anyone.
"Has the biggest cargo capacity in this class"...and yet the non luxury class Honda CR-V still has bigger cargo area. Honda has done wonders with their new CR-V

I am planning to buy one. Do you still recommend it? I notice your comment is 2 years old. Thanks

Have a great day to y'all
The First Edition is the best bang for your buck! Can't get them anymore, or at least can't order them.
Clifford M what's so good about the first edition?
its been a year now with your F-Pace, do you still feel the same about it? Have you had any issues/problems with it? Would love to hear your feedback as I'm thinking about buying one...
Cliff M Any comments on your experience?
5 years now, still waiting for your reply :D
They just re-did the interior this year, it'd be pretty interesting to do a 3rd test on this model with Andrea on the driver's seat 🥳🥳

I LOVE THE 35T JAGUAR F PACE - DRIVING IT 4 MONTHS - GREAT BUY -
I really like this vehicle at least on paper and youtube. I still need to go and get a closer look. Also, thanks for pointing out the plastics. A week?! I've had my car for a year and just found it has fog lights!
love seeing a proffessional review from Vancouver!!!
Lakshay Sharma yet you’re unprofessional by spelling professional wrong !!!
This is the best looking crossover with the best handling on the market. The fandans banging on about plastics and touchscreens have never driven it or they'd shut the fuck up.
SP really??
The Range Rover Velar, same platform as the F-Pace, looks a bit better IMO.
I like this Jeep Cherokee with a Jaguar badge, really nice looking, reliability is questionable, but who cares its an extra expensive Jeep Cherooke
Can you do a review on the Mercedes Benz GLS
When are you reviewing the levante Maserati
I just test drive the new 2018 F Pace S thing was gorgeous and so fast
How about the Maserati Levante?
They should make touchscreens have redundant dials and buttons for when you're driving the car.
Can you do a review/comparison to the Alfa Romeo stelvio.
Stelvio ti sport
Bought an F-Pace over the Macan because I like to drive a 'spirited' car, and the supercharged engine in F-Pace is more fun than the turbo lag in the macan and waiting for it to kick in. (this was main reason I chose F-pace..but there were other minor things as well for me)
2:20 thanks for this honest opinion! I prefer mechanical buttons over -gimmicks- touchscreen.
NO heads up display?
Man I love your wife’s voice. So soft and soothing.
I think they're LED headlights, not xenon.
Halogens are standard on the Base and Premium model with the vision package upgrading you to Xenon with LED DRL, Prestige model comes standard with Xenon with LED DRL, LED are available with Vision Package, while R-Sport and S include LED standard.
MS. Motormouth, Porsche Macan vs F Pace S, which do you like better and why. Thanks I hope you give your views. Thanks
what are those
Hi Zack how's reliability of Jaguar vs Audi? Is Jaguar still the same problematic vehicle as per its reputation?
Armour All (other brands are available) would take care of the appearance of the hard plastic surfaces.
Please review the all new Benz E300, need your advice!
it's was on the channel but hosted by a different guy
Man this is sexy, the kit changed my mind about the car
Great review ,big up from Jamaica island we love ,to the world
Nice kicks Zack!
Can you review the 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE and NOT in black like everyone else? 👌🏼😊
GLC (for 46~48K US Dollar and better mpg) or This (Premium trim costs 50~51K) ?
Go with Prestige model or R-Sport, you will thank me if you do.
Can you review the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, apparently it's discontinued after this year so many are going on sale.
no reason to get them over the 370z. Other then it having back seats and the genny being slightly cheaper.
That's the point. Also the 370z looks a lot uglier in my opinion, I want a car that more than one person is comfortable driving.
Jay if they are discontinuing it, probably shouldn't buy one? GT86 or BRZ?
Waiting on reviews of the 2.0 diesel.
+TheASTrader has not been certified yet for sale
Motormouth Canada Well that sucks. Jag's online PR team said it would be out in Sept. Still nothing.

Hi Zack
finally someone telling the truth about the vehicle and burning gasoline .Thanks
Great review! The LEXUS NX 200t would also be a competitor in this crossover segment ya?
No it's not. The RX is a closer competitor. the NX is significantly smaller and has a lot less power.
How are the backseats comparing to Mecan? Thanks.
More space in the back seat, no sloped roofline like the Macan has making it more comfortable in the back. The F-Pace is also a very wide vehicle which is nice if you are a fat American like me lol
excellent review😊👍👍.I am a new subscriber. between jaguar f pace and macan 's which one will you pick?? I am looking for a suv. thank you
Michael Lui get the jaguar
Just subbed as a mom of two 6months and 2 I'm looking to buy an affordable but sexy crossover or mid size SUV I would like at least a sun roof open to 5 or 7 seaters price range 35000-50000 any suggestions?

Thanks a lot for the great review! How's the road/wind noise?
No road noise just a nice exhaust tone on the gasoline models.

Mert Imir you should see my 5 year old work a touch screen...perfectly safe, old dogs don’t learn new tricks. Lol
Thanks! Great review
A friend of mine had one of these.. In the two months he owned it, it was in the shop approximately 30 days. Not worth anyone's money. Jaguar bought it back and he got an XC90
yeah - reliability seems way down on Jaguar's list of " things to improve".....

Beautiful countryside
built a good F pace and it turned out to be $66,852 in Canada
Love this vehicle , went and tested drove this Suv...but for the price...i got more with the Lincoln Aviator... bigger, more classy
Throw your keys down..... Lincoln or Jaguar...... I know which brand I’d have
Grace with pace.
The volume is probably closer to the passenger side because they expect the driver to use the steering wheel controls.

Unless you get the sport, I'm not impressed with the interior.
This guy does the best review
doesn't this have the f type engine
Yeah it has both V6 engines that the F-Type has both are supercharged V6 one is pushing 340 and the other 380, but yes it does.
Jag trying to battle against their reliability history by giving a 5-year/60K warranty, including scheduled maintenance.
I thought you do reviews that, "We can generally afford, sometimes you'll see a high end car on this site" You say that in your intro video/
Lately its been these $70,000 cars
Oceanic Flight Stop whining about it kid.
Sorry Pablo
You can buy one of these for $44,000 US. Lay off the options.
Nutty
respect the kicks, not a snickerhead too are you?
Whaaat Diesel... holy shit :D
It's a nice car.
u made me feel that this is the only car that u had for a week.... great looking car tho
I bought this
The display/console on the standard model looks old and cheap, especially the steering wheel buttons
My dad has this car
all these car reviews are on smooth roads in the country. how about reviewing the car after going some big pot holes. i just had an x3 which the ride was awful
Have the British figured out gaskets yet? Don't know? Just pay $60k or more to find out.
I don't buy gasoline in liters
No lumber for back ,very disappointed
Yeah there is, you need to go with the Prestige model and up.
Sat in an F pace sport in a showroom in the uk , £62k sticker price , the plastic on the dash was worse than a 1979's lada .. wouldn't be my cash
you americans are so lucky
i had to pay $40'000 for a 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8
Who got a pocket book😹😹😹😂😂😂😂
Torrance Crayton 😂😂😂😂😂only my grandparents
Hmm I don’t think this guy knows the difference between xenon and LED headlights. Oh dear.
what is dad wearing?? lol
Jaguar it is claiming high quality on interior and leather seats which is complete false advertising. CMDR Phreedom but it's ugly imo. not pleasing at all
CMDR Phreedom Irrelevant comment.
It is a Jag-you-are, not a Jagwaar!
Are you shoor?
The review of the car is nice but the voice of wife is annoying. She should be on 🤐 mute .
looks like a hyundai 0 personality.
Interior is dated, like the exterior. Dials are far easier and safer than buttons.
It's a nice car.
