Had the v6 sc sport fo 3 years now some niggles with bonnet lock and that's been it fantastic car wonderfull to drive and beautiful sound had 30 mpg so can't complain love it.
I was looking at purchasing a 2018 F-Pace and in doing my research I found a lot of people saying the timing chain in the 2L Diesel engine is huge problem. Up. Until late 2019, these engines had lots of problems with chains stretching and slipping on cogs or straight up snapping...both of which will ruin your engine completely. And its not a simple job to replace either like a standard timing belt on a car. The entire engine has to come out and it costs approx £2000 plus to change. Its not a couple of hundred quid like a timing belt but a couple of thousand. HUGE mistake apparently by JLR. In late 2019 manufactured cars they apparently put in stronger chains and cogs that have gone a long way to remedying the problem but I wouldn't trust them really with how these engines are built.
3.0 not bad. Stay away from Diesel. My16 XF same engine going strong in 2024 ! Only ever had to do lower control arms and Vacuum pump out of pocket. She’s amazing. Again only petrol engines are worth it.
@@CarandDrivingCarReviews anything 16+? If you ever do come by, very little videos on those. And quite a good car right now for second hand buyers. Nice thorough video on the F Pace!
My wife bought an f pace 2016 3 L Diesel and we regret it big time. A few months after buying it we stranded on the side of a highway at night. Then there was a problem with the timing belt (the 3L engine has a belt not a chain in contrast to the 2L),and it had to be replaced and now a few days ago the engine light came on. They will look at it next week but we already decided that we want to sell the car again.
Why wasn't the big elephant in the room mentioned anywhere at all in this review. I would have been a possible F Pace buyer but for two enormous issues ... reliability and warranty. As an indication of what I am looking for from both of these my current, and previous 2 cars have been Lexus RX450h and was disappointed with the first one that broke a rear spring at 10 year and 100,000 miles . If JLR thinks they can compare then give the cars a 10 warranty. (15 year on hybrid traction battery).
The car's performance is commendable, with impressive speed. However, the high revving during early morning start-ups may potentially cause disturbance to neighbours. The absence of features such as folding mirrors, reverse camera, and keyless entry in some of model is perplexing. Regrettably,, I own one, and I'm very disappointed. Overrated car for a Jaguar. Music system in some of is absolutely rubbish compared to BMW x6 even an old lexus is250. The rear bumper on some the vehicle what were they thinking? This black bumper at the bottom of the bumpers? Take it of😮😢 this is a Jaguar not a skoda

Grace, pace and space
When I was looking for a replacement for my 3.0L awd X type.... The F Pace fit the bill.
Best reviewer on UA-cam in my opinion. Excellent, thank you.
Wow really appreciate that
Great review, picking my 3.0l 300D up on Sunday!
Hope you enjoy it!
Yes, I agree it's about time for a decent view.
What's the reliability on those things 2L diesel engine ?

I am thinking of buying a Used Fpace 2019 model ( around 100k Kms). What are pros and Cons? How much should I pay for it?
How's the reliability on these?
not so good, Jaguar and Land Rover are known as unreliable cars

Odd? A couple of features... albeit minor said to be missing...seem to be standard on my F Pace.
Best car review I've ever seen. Do you work for jlr?
Nice review, hope you can do an xf 3.0
What year would you like?

Are these reliable with over 100K miles?
Most modern day cars are
No.
Terrible engine.
Timing chains go all the time.
Be careful.

I love a good car review bit not when it's 45 minutes long.
All car rewievs should be of 45 minutes.
Lol, I watch at 1.5x speed
How short would you need it to be before you love it?
The back end looks like a Mazda
45:03 this has aged poorly...

What model do you have and you would recommend not getting a 2019 f pace (35t prestige) or a 2020 (S)?
