Love the 2990, used 99% for RX while traveling but need to touch up the TX frequency. What coils or other adjustments are there specifically for TX freq warp? I have schematic but it lacks descriptions. Using calibrated Viavi monitor.
Bren Butler hi my friend Robert who repairs cb Han radio etc says you can buy the buttons . My baofeng,hd1,rt3 all have the buttons warn away . My ft2de has a case luckily there’s not 2 many buttons on the radio
Thanks for the video, I am not clear about it, you have to put it in the two holes in the cable and that's it ... Any cable you use to bridge it? thank you
Albrecht's help text "modifications for amateur radio use" says: "Delete existing jumper soldering between terminals 2 & 3." - In your video, there does not seem to be a solder bridge between 2 and 3! Did you remove it earlier? Because the absence of this bridge between 2 and 3 reveals that the radio has been modified and is no longer a CB, but instead a ham radio. Moreover, you lose your warrantee. I am not sure, though, if this is valid for all countries. It would be really easy (for a licensed amateur radio operator) to convert CB to ham radio and back again ham radio to CB, if there were not even a soldering bridge from the beginning. So I wonder if you had to destroy that connection at some earlier point in time... (unless you got it second hand). Anyway, informative and good video. A small suggestion: It would even be better if you spoke more slowly and showed the various steps at a slow pace, too. Many thanks.
the bridge is for locking in whatever mode you have. Remove it, change mode switch the radio off and put it back in place. that way the radio is locked to the mode and can't by accident change.
They are a lot of handheld, and you'd pay that for a scanner that really ain't worth 20 quid a letter, quite impressed, pity the frequency didn't have a mod, but I suppose you find your way after a a day or two. Certainly gone a long way forward from the 3 channel Realistic days
Where are these radios getting shipped to The U.SA. I want one for 10m and CB . But all we got is junk stuck on zm or FM on 40 channels only . All these other export radios get to USA do you know anyone that is getting there in USA. ?
Glad you enjoyed the video and found it very helpful good luck on your new radio. I've got load of multi band radios take a look at whats in the box video I did on my channel

Thanks for the video mate... I done the mod to mine, it works great, except when you restart it in another code, then go back and restart it in COd-4 again , you cant scroll through the bands with the ch9-19 button like before... Do you have to do the mod everytime you come out of it and want to get COd-4 working properly again, or am I doing something wrong ???

If you haven't found it yet, the CB shop in NL is shipping to the US. You can find them on line
Essentially the Cherokee AH-100 is this radio minus the FM. I don't know if you can still buy one. I got mine 25 years ago.
