- Kalsubai (Marathi: कळसूबाई शिखर) is a mountain in the Western Ghats, located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Its summit, situated at an elevation of 1,646 metres (5,400 ft), is the highest point in Maharashtra.
The mountain range lies within the Kalsubai-Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary. It is visited throughout the year by avid trekkers, Kalsubai temple devotees and wildlife enthusiasts alike. It is named after one of the three sisters Kalsubai, Ratnabai and Katrabai. The other peak Ratangad is named after Ratnabai.
The mountain can be viewed in its entirety from Bari village located on its eastern side, about six km (3.7 mi) from Bhandardara. It can be reached by road, via Igatpuri on the Mumbai-Nasik route. Trains leaving from Mumbai provide an alternate mode of transport to Kasara railway station, with connecting State Transport buses, plying on the Akole-Kasara route, leading up to the base village. Private vehicles from Kasara provide yet another alternative to public transport.

Camping is allowed at the top of the Kalsubai Peak? It seemed you didn't camped at the top of the mountain in the video.
At the top u can’t pitch your tent because it’s solid rocky..and windy too..so best place place to setup camp near last ladder of the last top.. it’s not like that it’s not allowed but usually people don’t stay at top because of strong winds

Yes..Local people at Base Village Bari provides tents..I’ll try to provide u contact details…snakes are rare not as such so frequently I haven’t seen any

we want to see sunset & sunrise both, so from cst what time should we leave?
@@surathjhakal8905 Start travelling Friday Night and do camp on Saturday Night so there will trekkers for camping as well as local people as well on any other day there will not be any Trekker for camping..from CST am not really sure about timing but I would suggest u to leave around 10 pm on Friday
