it was hilarious back in the day to invite people into my apartment and then call a stripper over. most people didn’t know you can do that lmao
Most people didn't know you could pickup a lady off the street in a convertible and go into an alley and pay her for the services, then have your friends run around the corner real fast and start taking selfies of the deed in action while standing on the car.
Fun times man, fun times.
I remeber doing that it was fun
Same thing with yacht
@@jimrustle643I was on yesterday just free roaming and i happened upon a player parked in an alley with a lady of the night who was dispensing her services.
I molotovd them in the vehicle
@@JustDaniel6764cleanse them of their sins 🔥
In 2013 I got $150,000,000 gifted to me after the first night of release from a zero day hacker in a public lobby. The guy had the Adder and I asked him how he got it. He said hold on a minute and I'll show you...... stays in lobby but went silent. Accepted a friend's invite after 5 minutes of nothing, and as I was heading to a friend's lobby the message came up and read "you have been gifted $150,000,000 from...." and then I was in another lobby.
If you're out there reading this, you changed my whole experience bro, Rockstar didn't. Thanks, I never got the chance to say that.
Same bro. Right place, right time! I’ll never forget my shopping spree 🎉
Youre welcome
At that point, you gotta buy everything
@@kaliforniakiing8374 spot on. I used the gifted money to buy and test out nearly all the cars on LM in races to find my favorite ones to keep and use going forward. Blew it all away, nostalgic
@@coltforceplayer best believe that I did
I remember when players used to bitch about the rhino tank and the fighter jet. If they only knew the rhino tank was nothing compared to what was coming soon.
Load times were fixed by a fan btw , he sent it r* which ended up helping us all
no way💀
Only on the PC version I think
@@derpeth2101 yeah his site is still in search of google I visited it by accident it was fantastic
@derpeth2101 I think they implemented for console. I remember getting a short update on the day it went viral
rock-star only gave him like 10k...
Rooftop Rumble used to pay out about $18,000. All the contact missions had set payouts back then. Certain missions payed out more but weren't necessarily harder or took longer to complete. Rockstar literally changed the mission payout system to time-based, because so many players would just grind the highest paying missions, for hours on end, myself included.
I thought it was 25k payout per mission in the beginning
Yeah, it used to actually be 25K, and you could restart the job right from the lobby menu 😂
it also was $30000 at one point
It was 30k all day
75k was the first payout
The one thing the 2013-2015 players will remember is the prime of GTA. No flying bikes, no jets (Unless you took it from the base), no orb cannon and more. GTA is still fun but prime was something else... Just getting home from school telling your friend to get on and make money and fight at the beach. Times have changed
actually, we did have jets ogs would steal them from the base and go around griefing also, if you were know anything about the game back in 2013 we had Battle of Whiskey River jet dogfight so that proves you don’t really know what you’re talking about
@@AncientGodOfEvil You didn't read my comment it said "No jets (UNLESS you took it from the base)"
For real I miss it so much
*You* think times have changed? When I got home from school GTA 3 wasn't even out yet. It was all split screen Goldeneye and AIM.
We DREAMED of jets and flying bikes.
Man i miss the days without the ridiculous vehicles! I hope they go without them on 6 because it would be so much better
I remember when the Zentorno dropped along with the Heists update, I took a day off School to do the Fleeca Job 🤣
I remember Rooftop Rumble used to have a 25k payout. Before the patch, you could just blow up the briefcase and pass the mission in less than a minute
Bro exactly! Also, when it was double or triple pay on missions and Rooftop Rumble was on the list.
That was before they reworked the mission to have the briefcase be in a getaway car
The biggest thing I miss from 2013-14 GTA Online is how everyone stayed in the city centre, so if you stayed outside of it, nobody bothered you. I hope GTA 6 Online is like that too in the early days.
I remember playing prison break with randoms too many times
Still doing that often 😂
Lvl 14 pilots still keep fucking it up though
Still it's Happening Bro😂
No
The one constant that'll never change, someone out there right now is struggling to finish prison break
20 something year old TGG is starting to feel it, what getting old? Dude I was 31 when it was released, I'm 42 now, you don't know old, yet, but you will, one day 😉😂
i was 44 when it came out..ugh..
@danparker1976 dude you'll nearly be 60 by the time gta 6 hits thr shelves.
Omg, we have a grandpa here!
Alr unc
Wow dude. I hope you're still a fan of GTA online. Especially when GTA 6 comes out😂
i feel so old🥲 i’ve been playing since the xbox 360
I first bought GTA 5 on PS3 😂
I remember I had a 100 million bounty put on me and I left the lobby. Had a ton of messages of people calling me a pussy for leaving😂
i would’ve done the same lmao
💀
nobody getting paid
I had a bounty on me for around that amount of money or possibly way more, I stayed in my apartment for the 45 minutes it takes for you to get the money. I had people waiting outside my apartment sending me messages too telling me to stop being a bitch and fight for the money lmaoo. I was like fuck you mean fight for it, I’m not taking any chances
Lmaoo
Titan of a Job mission is pure nostalgia for me from OG days
Was looking for this comment, titan of a job is an absolute blast from the past
Yep! December 2014 when they had 2XP, me and my friend Austin at the time would run it up everyday. 5/6 times for almost half a mill a day, great times. Hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago
Only the OGest of OGs know Coveted was the money grind mission before rooftop rumble came to be
Man that 28k made me feel rich back then
Only the OGest of OGest OGs remember potshot was the real money grind mission
I still have my Coveted grind playlist.
Fr ? Dude that mission got me RACKS of cash lol
I mean when the adder was the most expensive car@@darrylstark9259
Don't forget survival mode as well. 100k if you made it 10 rounds
Who remembers the deathmatch mode where you had to dodge jumping armored cars on a bridge trying to hit you while shooting rockets at the armored cars?
Sounds like a version of “rpg vs insurgents” . It can be an awesome game mode if you’re playing with an honest group of players.
@@87ThirdGen my man!!! That's the game!!! I spent endless hours playing chicken with those insurgents 😂🤣
I miss that so much
My favorite was stunters vs snipers
@@6FGX9 I loved this
It is a wicked game mode for sure!! It’s hard to get enough players to make it real fun now though :(
2013 Rooftop Rumble was the peak of crew cooperation. We used to speed run that mission. We had The Driver who drove you to Martin's home, The courier whose job was just to grab the case and get to the car and the muscle whose job was to kill all of the enemies.
I miss the old money trucks.
Same here
The grind was definitely real back in the day 😅
I still remember on my 360 account I begged a modder to give me billions of dollars 😂. He did then I filled up my garage up with T20s.
I remember doing rooftop rumble 24/7 😂. Having my first million dollars was such a big milestone back then, I kinda miss the old GTA Online ngl 😮💨
Rooftop Rumble was bugged back in the day, if you blew up the deal and destroyed the package you still got thousands of dollars, we didnt play the mission through we just spawned in and tossed some grenades
Rooftop rumble is encoded in my life, not gta character, I religiously played that mission holy hell you took me back
Personally I started GTA very late and missed all the hype when the game was released but I'm so happy that I am here now to experience all of that for GTA 6
Same I started rly late prob 3yrs 😂 I'm lvl 350 and completed the game glitches but I don't do missions I just griefed 😭😭 I was best at sniping and dogfighting 😂
Bro Same I started playing back in mid 2021. I've never played back then but I am very happy to witness what gta was like back then
Do not worry. I officially started playing GTA 5 on December 2023. Although I played GTA 5 often on my friends house when I was little, I learned more when I got it the last year. It's a matter of enjoying the game, having fun, entertaining yourself, being amazed and perplexed about it's small and fun details. Truly an amazing game. RDR2 is also a relatively recent top-notch game of Rockstar.
@@TheFounderAdministrator same I played gta on my older cousins ps4 and I regret when fortnite came out I didn't wanna play it now I love fn 💪😭
@@Sira144hzyh same. i got it around 2018 but i’m level 530 or something😂 i made memories on there too and watched my uncle make memories as i watched him play it on his PS3
1:55 I remember my character getting deleted too, didn’t play again until 2020 when I finally made another 😂
Remember when you were able to press replay on missions, so before they ruined the pay for Rooftop Rumble you could just keep replaying rooftop gaining 25K+
I remember the tricks to buy unlisted items, like the cargobob. Came in handy so much instead of trying to get one to spawn.
OGs remember how random explosion on the lobby meant a player with a Tank and was scared shitless. Even worse when they were camping your garage door and the exiting animation played with it just standing there
4:10 i rememebr doing rooftop rumble that waiting when u went to madrazos house for like 10 mins cuz u would get extra money
You just brought back memories LMAO
damn this was post patch rooftop rumble, crazy how long this mission was used
I just remember how big of a game GTA 5 was when it came out, like it was every where.
I just miss how simple and new it was where we only had tanks and jets or we played races and custom jobs it was just special.
Crazy it’s been a decade…
Here to stop kids saying zero views in zero seconds
Edit: Holy shites 432likes?

Ft its annoying to see

Thank you
I miss the old rooftop rumble days. Sure it was tedious but it was simple. 18,750 was what i remember being paid before they changed the cash payouts and i played it on loop for literal hours. I used to invite my friends who weren’t a high enough level to host the job themselves. Pretty much everything on this list is something I remember and I really miss these days. I always hated when the mechanic would steal my car when he delivered it though.
Rooftop Rumble was the sh1t back then, I remember giving and getting mad invites to that mission
No mention of the golden Dubsta or whatever it was called? Was my main source of income back in the day. Just hang out in the rich area for it to spawn, steal it, sell it for $50k, repeat the next day.
I still occasionally steal a laser from zancudo just for the fun, despite owning loads of my own planes including the Hydra and raiju
Yeah I remember 2013 all right when I first had the game when it just released for my ps3 I was so excited and when I tried playing online for the very first time I had tried multiple attempts but eventually got on I was 13 now I'm 23 turning 24 so when gta6 releases I'll be 25 waw
It Really A long Time Journey for you Bro hatsoff🎉
Completely the same for me. Also born in 2000 brother 😎
On the contrary to what most people think, I really like the Chrome paint job on cars. Whenever I sell one from the veichle warehouse or would deliver to Simeon at the docks I apply chrome and pretend the car is a prototype.
I first played GTA Online as soon as the servers went up in 2013. Of course they then got overloaded, but that's a different story. I actually managed to go a couple of years without getting modded money because I was trying to earn all those expensive cars legitimately. Then someone on the PC figured out a mod to give everyone in the lobby millions of GTA Dollars instantly and I was like, well I guess I'll buy that massive waste of money called a yatch now.
I also remember pre nerf when the lazer and rhino had way more health, they actually took alot of rpgs to destory, lazer included, wasnt a 1 shot back then
I remember there was a time when seeing a tank appear on the map made everyone want to leave lol . Tanks were scary as hell back then lol
I remember reaching rank 100 for the first time while grinding Rooftop Rumble over and over with a group of 4. I remember there was another popular grinding mission that took place at a cove, called Coveted. Gosh those were the days
gta 5 came out on my birthday, i turned 12 the day it released! depending when gta 6 comes out i will be 23-24 crazy
I took long, looong breaks from GTA online, but started the month after it launched, I remember most of this and miss none of it! Awesome video though, and thanks for the nostalgia! If I can recall anything that's missing here, it would be Jerry Canning players cars to avoid paying the insurance! That was the ultimate payback against griefers!
Saving up to buy an Adder back in the day by robbing stores was so cool. Nowadays any car release is $1.5 million and it’s not the same anymore.
thx for the trip down memories lane bro it was great hearing about the old days again
I stopped playing gta online in early 2015, the things I remember the most are swiming down waterfalls and doing off road trails on mt chilliad with some friends
the chrome adder brought back a memory 😂😂
Yeah I must be really old because everything you described in the video I remember dearly cuz I played this game since 2013 as well but I did take a year off from playing the game.
awesome video man
I remember all of that. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Liked and subbed
*sigh*
The good ol days
I started playing GTA 5 in early 2014 so the Zentorno “craze” Is a thing i remember well. When I joined there were chrome, hot pink or purple zentornos driving around. Rooftop rumble is a thing we did a lot, I also did the merryweather thing. I remember that before I got GTA 5 on PS3 and my family members on there helped me rank up, I had it on Xbox 360 and me and my friend would spend any money we had on sticky bombs and we’d steal cars and drive into people with the stickies attached. Good times.
i miss 2013, i was the modder giving people money and accounts back then i made so much real money in the process. but giving away free money always made me feel good
How about the rusty rebel car dub glitch?
Where you buy 9 rusty rebels and swap them with either a zentorno or an adder before the rebels where deliverd. And when they where delivered you didnt get a rusty rebel but your switched personal vehicle and been able to sell this car for 500K a time, but need to be carefull u didnt sell your bought supercar otherwise your glitch would fail after
Yeah I remember that, it happened around 2014-2015
NoahJ456 got videos still up about them money glitches, that was the only ones I would do. Also I remember being able to get Elegy's and sell them for money
But the Rusty Rebels is very ols
W video n I think I seen you in bad sport the other day?
I started playing in December 2013 and it was absolutely fantastic and more enjoyable than today. It was such a different time; where gaming and society probably peaked.
I was still in high school at the time and I played it on most of my off weekends. I met some great guys in GTA online. I'm still friends with some of them today! We've kept in contact all these years and its awesome.
I remember how my friends and I would take selfies of us doing the most random shit.
I remember being excited to get to Lv100 because I could finally buy the Dubsta 6x6.
The "bullet proof" Zentorno is what really gave me a great flashback, I still find it hard to believe that we've been playing this game for almost eleven years and I'm excited to see GTA VI improve upon this legacy.
Always love your videos TGG ❤
😌
Mannn, I’m a OG GTA member the grind was real asf back then 💯
I remember the match making far too well. I stayed in the clouds for almost an hour before it finally loaded me into a session before dying by some random player.
Back in 2013-2015 the pistol was literally the best weapon in the game. It would almost always one tap someone to the head and if you were good at rolling you would literally dominate the deathmatch lobby.
6:30 YES!! A Vanoss mention!! His videos were the reason i wanted to play gta in the first place, stopping the train and all the wild stuff the crew did was mesmerizing to me and they're still going after all this time
The nostalgias strong with this one (even the background song so majestic) 🥹🥹🥹🥹
I remember at one point after online launched, Rockstar sent out a bunch of in game money as an apology for something or other. I used that to get an apartment with garage and some cars. After stopping playing for a while, when I came back, my garage was now empty, but I still had any businesses, properties and my level. This first couple years were rough
The Money Glitch was the best😭🔥🔥
This video was dope remembering the og days especially the money drops giving players money and everything else it crazy how gta 5 online has changed threw the years and how a lot of people won’t experience that at all
I’d want to say aswell the map icons were white dots. Or red skulls for bounties. You couldn’t tell if someone was in a tank or not, you simply drove around the wrong corner and found out the hard way
Thank You TGG I miss those days and I been playing since the beginning. 😊
My buddies and I used to do what we called the "pain train". We'd all set $9k bounties on eachother, then hop on the cargo train and ride around the map, seeing how long we could survive against jets and other nuisances. Kinda reminds me of the "make-your-own-fun" GTAO-IV days, congregating at LSIA to do barrel roll contests off of the luggage conveyors; back when the online sandbox setting was more sand and less content. It's better now for sure, but the purity of just fucking around with your friends using your imagination is a sentiment I think people of almost any generation could appreciate.
Man I miss the good ol days🖤
2013-2017 Was GTA in its PRIME
Y’all. We’re all touching 30 or already have. This was a crazy throwback. Haven’t finished yet, but the money glitch of choice around day one was duping cars. It was so easy. You’d literally fully mod a Dominator, sell it, then switch sessions as fast as possible. You’d have the money and the car. I think it was about 180k
Edit: The other “money glitch” was robbing a store, switching sessions, then robbing the same one. Over and over and over and over again
It was a Chrome Adder/Entity XF with Pink/LimeGreen Dolla Rims.
Coveted was also good Grind Mission for players who couldn’t host RR because you needed to be a level 75 to host.
Rooftop Rumble paid about $18.5K, it was less after the LS Flight School Update.
The Entity XF was also the original bulletproof car from behind.
The Rhino wasn’t just scary because of lack of counters. It was scary because it took like 20 RPGs to take out. It had the armor of the current RC TANK. If it returned to its former glory, apart from the MK2, it would still be difficult to take out.
I remember all these lol. I remember when GTA V online services launched the lobbies got so overcrowded by so many people wanting to join it would crash the servers. I remember when it took me a week to be able to get into a lobby for more than a few minutes. I also remember when I was trying to reach rank 120 I ground Roof Top rumble for two and a half hours.
Also your first online death, the epsilon guy would talk to you like an angel, and when you get introduced to online, Lamar would give you a pistol then let you in the airport 😢
I got the notification for this video whilst listening to change of coast by Neon Indian at work.. weird. But a good weird.
Because burn out boredom was a thing I have a playlist of rooftop rumble, a titian of a job, rooftop rumble, the los santos connection(with the not so secret money boxes you could destroy for extra money), rooftop rumble, then last one was Coveted. I’d replay the playlist over and over and over man. It was a different time. I remember rooftop paying out $18,500 consistently and coveted payed out $16k or $17k
My favorite moment from back in the day has to be calling my mechanic and hearing him say "it's comin at ya" and immediately getting beamed by my own car lol
Rooftop Rumble most definitely used to payout around 20k on PS3. Used to spam that mission all day. Had the Esclipse Tower apts in no time
You can tell GTA online was bad week because this guy dropping video left and right😂
“No, Patricia, no. I’m playing golf. Golf! FORE!!! You’re being hysterical. It’s the menopause again, that never happened. I’m afraid I cannot be spoken to like that. No, golf, golf, I tell you!” Mumbles in Spanish
a griefer stranded me in the middle of the ocean during the ship business battle, but i'll be damned if my 2013 senses didn't kick in. called merryweather, killed the driver, and i was back in business.
Man, so many memories with this game since 2014, unbelievable how time has passed so fast and were now in 2024 and next year we gettin GTA VI
In the first few weeks Rooftop Rumble gave 50,000 dollars. You could call in Pegasus vehicles so we had a guy who just called his tank in and we could finish the mission in under 2 minutes. Rockstar nerfed the payout and made it so you couldn't blow up the evidence car, you had to gun them down, pick it up, and deliver it, making it not great anymore.
Lots of good memories with this video. I remember all of these💯
The worst thing was calling in the Mechanic 😂 I also remember all the damn glitches, like getting Story mode cars into online lobbies. Or trying to get the Asea (Lester’s car) by creating a second character and having ur friend hold onto it in a lobby.
11 years for another game?? COD pooped out 83 games in that same time span lol
So much nostalgia! I remember Rockstar gifting $500k to everyone that played in the first month because it was such a buggy release. That’s how I went from sleeping in my car to my eclipse tower apartment.
Riding around the map, drag race, fighting cops (Most wanted), chilling at Yacht or penthouse pool, visiting other people garages, LS car meet outside LS customs & blowing all at end, grinding MC with same crew etc.
The amount of memores I made in gta online on my ps3 was remarkable, started playing in june 2014
becoming a BILLIONAIRE within the first 2 months of this game is definitely what got me hooked on to this game. i had 0 motivation to become rich by grinding and suddenly i just was. still using my 2013 account from xbox 360 on my pc to this day ✊
The buzzard was once the only military aircraft you could buy until heists in 2015
How could you forget grinding races over and over on bikes? I bought a Cheetah instead of an Adder because the Cheetah looks amazing. I still have it to this day
Haven't watched the video yet but I saw the thumbnail and definitely remember DNS codes. I also remember when an entity was a death machine, like you would just reverse behind someone and they'd not be able to do anything.
Also remember when bad sports was actually a problem but thankfully we have VIP work now because on 360, I would get in there for years at a time
:+(
Thanks and FY for this... always good if someone makes you feel old 😂😂
The beer hats, billion dollar bounties and all chrome garages are just peak GTA 2013 memories for me… I still remember going apesh*t when I was randomly set a 3billion dollar bounty and managed to go into a solo session to survive it… only to have nothing to spend the 3 billion on 😂 (this was pre beach bum update)
Omgosh this was nostalgic haha
The trick with the rhino tank was to get near them with a motorbike and then ditch it to be on foot with explosives 😊
It’s wild that I actually never knew about the account wiping or character deleting until this video. I’ve been a prime player since 2013 only took breaks in 2017 and beyond and I’ve had the same character since day one lunch before they were jobs or even stores to rob. or, maybe Robbie stores was all you can do not sure can’t remember but I’m glad to have all my stats now my money earned, and spent stats are completely screwed and almost everything to do with money because of the above mentioned bounty money I was a well playing at the time trying to get all the money from them hackers lol
The mechanic bringing your car was wild. Hahaha!
Remember the little green cars that use to spawn driving around the mini map that you could steal and sell for money and everyone would fight over it. I remember going to war for that car and feeling such a sense of accomplishment if I managed to deliver it!
I was into the races, so a group of friends and I would race Long Haul 2 for hours, and those races got super competitive!!
I'd like to add one more thing, refering to leveling up your character.
You could level up being AFK by letting your character taking a shower and "sing", which basically you had to put your microfone on and speak. The funny thing was any kind of sound would work, so you'd leave your microfone on when you had to do something and just put some 1h or 10h version of a song or even your house background sound alone would do it.
This was next level grinding......literally 😂
