This is super cool, thank you for this tutorial series, but for larger landscapes, have you looked into a method that uses instances & level of detail?
Hey, glad you like it. I did the most investigations some years ago .. so my results may be outdatet: 1. instances alt+d or link object data. Was not so succesfull when apply the random rotation. Tried some driver, but this slowed my system too much down 2. array modifier. Works well until you want some rotation 3. dupli verts .. that was a mess, because of the need of the remesh modifier to blockyfie first I have not tried LoD .. currently not sure how it works in detail. I know, but havent tried yet, too you could blockifie objects using some geometrie node set up.
