OMG Sam, that's unbelievable. You did an outstanding job on this and it looks very impressive. I definitely like what you have done with this. You really have made this into a home rather than a tent on wheels. Thanks again, Pat
Thank you very much. I got to use the Camp Chef griddle when we got home. I wasn't too sure about it because it was really rough but nothing stuck and it cooked great. Really like it!
Great job!! You've got some amazing mods. Very creative and of course, fantastic machining of all the parts. Thanks for making this video and posting it.
Very impressive use of space, Sam. This weekend will mark my first time to camp in the Free Solo, and I’m sure I’ll begin to learn a lot about how I will use the space, or how I’d like to use it differently in the future. I’ve always liked baking in my dutch oven, but limited when the weather is bad. So the oven thing…very tempting. Though my wife might say you’re a bad example 😜. Great video!
@@MelissaSouders-r8y we installed a Propex HS2211 undermount heater. We have been on the road for 30 days so far on this trip and its been awesome! ua-cam.com/video/I6YQjjwXQHo/v-deo.html
How long did it take to cook the chicken and how much fuel did it take? Also cooking at night with a light usually draws bugs do you have a future plan to add a bug net? You did an amazing job!!
I agree about the light and bugs but we typically don't camp in our campers, we have two, during the bug months. We have a sailboat that stays on the water during the summer that we love to water camp on. Anytime we can spend on the water we do. Plus in the summer it stays light longer so I am not cooking in the dark as much. No plans for a bug screen but I am going to make "wings" that will fill the gap between the open galley door and the sides of the galley opening to block some of the wind.
Jason, I used heavy duty soft close 24" slides rated at 100lbs. Because I did not like how the locking slides' release levers stuck out. I added lock pins to the drawers to keep them in place while we travel. 1 Pair LONTAN Soft Close Drawer Slides 24'' Soft Close Cabinet Hardware - 3 Fold Full Extension Ball Bearing Heavy Duty Drawer Slides, 100LB Capacity a.co/d/9bdj6XP
I have to think how I want to answer that question. I would say it.is different from owner to owner and camper to camper. What is an issue to one may not be to another. For our money we got a lot creature features which was nice but after rebuilding vintage campers and seeing the long term issues with them I could see the same issues with the Bushwacker. I chose to address those issues and be proactive in hopes of prolonging the life of the camper. In that respect there were a lot of small things to address before they became big issues. After those issues were addressed it became a great foundation for the changes we made to it. We now have a very capable teardrop with lots of neat features for far less than we would have spent on one from a high end builder.
@Adventures of the Memory Thanks for the reply. I really like the simplicity layout of the galley. I currently own a NOBO 10.5 and thinking of trading for this one.
I installed a Propex HS2211 heater in our Bushwacker. It's designed to be mounted under the camper. It's 6500 BTU and will run you out of the camper! We will have a video out on it in just a few days.
Thank you for taking the time to watch. As far as your missing regular it depends on your application. In our case we did not use a regulator as the gas line on the camper was already regulated to 11 wc pressure which is what the stove needs. If your gas supply is not already regulated the. You will need the factory regulator.

Thank you Pat. It's really nothing fancy. Check out @DIYOutdoorLife video on Micheal Potash's galley, it's a whole different level yet!
Nice set up! I love the oven! Biscuits and gravy for breakfast! You have an awesome setup!
Thank you! You should have seen the lemon meringue pie I made in it at Camp last fall. It was to die for!
Great galley modifications! You did a great job of maximizing the limited space. Thank you for sharing your ideas with all of us!
Your very welcome. Just letting others know the possibilities in hopes it helps them make changes of their own.
Awesome job on that galley! Looks great & very funtional!

Thank you sir and your very welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm just trying to provide a lil inspiration to others!
This is so impressive guys, well done! I can’t wait to come out and see it!
Thanks Brian! We are looking forward to your visit!

Definitely not the first time I have been a bad example 😆
Wow.
1:45, hello I was wondering where did you locate the heater on your Bushwhacker?

I’m guessing the light on the galley hatch runs on batteries?
Yes sir, it's a rechargeable lithium powered light. It works really well. I use them in my work trailer and in my camper shell on my truck as well.
What size is the bouge rv fridge please or model number
You do a lot of nice work thank you for sharing
Thank you Sir. Its a Bouge RV 30qt

Do you have links to the drawer slides you used?

Looks really nice! Did you find the structure of this trailer worthy for mods?
