Thanks LDF for covering my son's deck! It's really a LZBox with Goodra. Yohann said he bricked only 2 games in the entire tournament. He had a matchplan for every deck except Pidgey Control. Luckily, Yohann only saw one and won cause the kid bricked twice. The Defiance is really for Hands and, to a lesser extent, Cpao. The deck plays pretty much always from behind. Aside from vs LZB, Yohann often used 3 Comfeys. The TMs are very important in almsot every matchups. One Goodra is often the play. The Finale didn't show well what the deck can do. Poor opponent had no luck game 1 and nerves came in play game 2. Yohann started 5-0 and then had to beat the #1 World Jr in top8 and #1 Oceania Jr in top4, giving them both their only loss of the tournament. It's a GOOd deck!!
@@docpok7414 agree, but it also lowers the Lost Zone threshold to 7 instead of ten, and also makes energy more manageable. I like the this list without the Sableye.
I actually think Arc/Goodra suffers because of combating Vstar powers. Obviously you want to use Arceus, but Goodra’s is soooo good in the meta right now. This deck gets to use that without concern over other Vstars.
Totally! It's the same reason I'm reluctant to test ArcGoodra, and instead im testing other versions. Full healing a Hero's cape Goo is quite devastating. Sadly, Arc and Lost are the most suitable engines for Goodra it seems :/ (im also reluctant to play lost goodra cause i dislike LZ a lot)
If you watched the match, goodra’s fonal opponent was a Lugia vstar that had the worst 2 starts I’ve ever seen in a match that any deck worth its salt could have beat. With that said, He had to beat every one else to get there so perhaps the final round was a victory lap for him lol
So its all fair then. The Lugia player signs up for that experience the moment they decide to pilot the deck, so frankly no one should have to hear "oh great I bricked." Like, yeah m'fer you did, thats what your deck does 1 outta 3 times.
I started the game some weeks ago. In the first game, in your second turn. wouldn't have been better to use corless ability, into prime catcher for their miraidon, bring your corless with skateboard, ability again and then retreat for kill on miraidon with cramorant? They would have been without miraidon with 0 energy on each of their pokemon. Maybe i don't get something
I think you definitely greninja both frigi that one turn, then you cram into zam or cram into goodra the palkia and try and pick off the frigi as they bench them or crisis punch for game. It's a hard matchup so you have to take risks I think. Chien pao is the deck that made it so I stopped playing goodra
Honestly i much prefer Hero Cape over prime catcher so that you can survive a charizard ex even if it used choice belt they still cant one shot so you can pull off that heal.
@@sphinx9517 well yes i agree. But i would still run cape cause if you think about it, Char ex can’t even two shot goodra with cape if rolling iron is active until they’ve taken 3 prizes.
My son decided to opt for the Catcher for 2 reasons: 1-the deck needs more gust 2-Pidgey will get Vacuum to lz the cape. Zard is 60/40 if they don't run Turo. 50/50 with Turo.
@@sirvaniss 4 snorlax doll, 2 TM turbo energy, 4 arven, 4 oricario, 1 rad teserena, 3 mist energy, 1 hero cape, can be a huge success in my “research” usually get turn 2 goodra attacking with some healing support and by turn 3-4 have the cape and max healing
@@sirvaniss yeah I use that exact snorlax format on 3 decks, it works well cuz no one knows what your doing, had a 9 win streak on the ladder around the 800 mark

The No-Sableye list is a big adjustement to overcome with practice.
Congrats to your kid! That is an amazing achievement, and to do it with an off meta pick is so cool
Congratulations to your son!! Yeah agree the finale probably didnt show us the true potential
Wished my dad was this proud of me to play pokemon

Was just thinking about building a goodra deck this seems like a good list to start with!
8:37, "I cant find my colresses bro". Yes sometimes it is hard to find the colress, I agree.

Optimal bricks since that goodras worst matchupp

That deck won the juniors and proves that goodra still can compete in tourneys
Great deck! still confused over why you chose prime over max belt if you rely heavily on defiance. Is it not better for consistancy
Damn lost goodra coming out of nowhere
Thanks for posting the deck list. I believe there's an error for Colress. I believe the second G needs to be a 1.
Seeing a lost zone goodra in juniors is crazy those are some bib brain kids
Autism
Insane deck. Nice video
Been running this deck since Septemeber. Obviously adjusted some since then but it is a lot of fun and can go toe to toe with almost anything
Goodstra VStar is awesome 😁 I'm happy it won EUIC. I knew it had potential.
Shame juniors doesn't count
Do you think he needed a Colress in that first match? I couldn’t really tell if he needed it that bad.

The new look suits you, bro. Kudos!
Is this the exact 1st place list?
Yeah
Goodra metang is so fun tho
Great haricut, looking good 👌
Slick new haircut, son!! Lookin' fresh asf!!
I want to do a goodra deck using hero cape
Your haircut looks nice bro, also nice gameplay.

Cape could be ok but prime catcher is very strong
I love goodra.
Definitely very underrated
LZ GOODRAS RISE UP‼️ I ran this deck up masters ladder pre rotation
yooo new haircut lets go
I'm a simple man, I see a Lost Box build, I walk away.
Nah
Nice haircut killer! Ya look good bud
Doesn't Charizard just put mist energy on zard and it goes right through it? lol
The -80 damage is an effect on Goodra not on the attacking Pokemon, so Mist doesn't work on this
No
Like the haircut!
Should I watch this on Saturday
nice t shirt ❤, i love UA
Like the haircut, clean
Lost Goodra with Deluxe Bomb.
haircut looking fresh af
nice haircut bro looks good
You’re looking fresh with that haircut!
little haircut fury. Poggers!
Wwoooww, soon handsooome. *jersey accent*

Snorlax doll goodra vstar is the real sleeper, with 4-5 healers on the bench
