- Sabudana khichdi, wherein, all the pearls are separated, non-sticky, soft and flavorful!! A dish that is primarily eaten during fasting days, but can be relished any day, any time!

Ingredients
Sabudana ( 1 cup)
Peanuts (1/2 cup)
Water for soaking ( 3/4 cup)
Ghee ( 2 tbsp)
Potato ( 1 large/ cubed 3/4 cup)
Cumin seeds/ sabut jeera ( 1 tsp)
Salt (1 1/4 tsp or as per taste)
Green chili, 2 small, chopped
Ginger chopped, 1 tbsp
Curry leaves ( 4-5)
Black pepper powder/ kali mirch ( as per taste)
Coriander/ cilantro leaves/ hara dhaniya ( 2 tbsp, chopped)
Lemon juice ( 1 tbsp/as per taste, optional)
Sugar ( 1/2 tsp, optional)

I must say you are a genius to me coz you can invent ways to make such excellent sabudana which does not stick together. My mom back in India makes such sabudana but her sabudana variety is a different special one which she gets from South India and that does not stick, it's like nylon sabudana. I have to manage with what I can find here in the US. My ingredients and recipe are the exact same, except for the peanuts and the non-stick tricks like washing well, soaking overnight and stir frying. So glad I found this video, I'm gonna try this on shivratri itself. (Btw, I have the exact same tray that u got, so I guessed you're in US) :P

Poonam ji, I am remembering our college days in the early 80s, when we got pretty tired of soggy, tasteless poha and sabudaana khichri at teatime given to us by our hostel cooks, five times a week, the other two days we got tasteless bread pakodas.
If they knew any way to ruin any dish, they used that method, breakfast, lunch and dinner! Even when they were given fresh ingredients. Three years of this mess which made us go fill our stomachs with samosas in the canteen, because we were not having pohas or this khichri ,the pigeons, squirrels and crows could have it - but I must say, this looks the real traditional and appetising Original recipe.

As for those millennial generation youngsters whose attention span is three seconds and they find this video too long, It is a well-known fact that psychologists have accepted that the brain development of an average youngster today with his short attention span is that of a healthy three year old even if the youngster is physically grown-up. Also they cannot assimilate knowledge overflow because their brains have never been put to much exercise.
So you keep making your videos and disregard these trolls who do not have anything constructive to do with their lives and are spending their valuable time thumbing critical messages all over the net to people of their own mental level.
