I usually substitute peanuts with red chana (soaked overnight in water), works great and also add some grated coconut when frying the jeera in the beginning (for all the coconut lovers). Show Sabudana Thalipeeth recipe as well. With Rajgeera/Shingada flour for binding. It's very tasty and uses less oil/fat than Sabudana Vada/Batata Puri with Sabudana-as it's to be roasted in a pan over Ghee. Looking forward to this recipe as well. Thank you for this recipe, chef. My daughter loves sabudana khichdi but I could never get the texture right. Key tip for me is the rinsing the starch out before soaking. I used to soak sabudhana directly.

U added too much water. Follow instructions properly. Touch the pearls and make sure it doesn't feel wet before cooking
You don't have to soak it for this long 45 mins or 1 hours is enough
Sometimes the quality of the sabudana (sago pearls) also affects the khichdi.
Try roasting first
Yeah..if too wet let it dry out ...but now d persons already made a mess. 😅
