I have been visiting Benidorm for over 10 years. Yes, prices have increased but this applies everywhere. I travel with Jet2 and still think this is good value. I always go half board so I am out and about every day. I generally spend about 50 euros daily in resort.
I live in Belgium: traveling to Spain has become a lot more expensive. Eating & drinking there is good. It is the kite + hotel that has become a lot more expensive. For me it is difficult to go again as a single person with no high income. I have been wanting to go to Benidorm for 2 years, but it is still not possible at the moment, partly due to the higher prices. And 7 days of eating, drinking and going out, taking a trip, etc... that means that a trip to Spain is no longer cheap. There are Belgians who skip Spain and go to Turkey & other cheaper countries.
Paid £800(per person inc flights) for 7nights half board in Ambassador Playa. Bringing 500 euros to spend but not sure how much I will spend. Benidorm is great value.

Do you think that more and more businesses will adopt the contactless payment system. I always bring plenty of cash € with me
There’s many contactless places here or card payments, the majority, but some still ask cash only, especially in the old town
All of the EU countries destinations are now far too expensive compared to last year (triple the price), just look at the airbnb prices and the flight tickets, the airlines now charge for standard seats & carry on luggage on some airlines, is this because of tourist taxes? the war in Ukraine? the UK leaving the European union? The past pandemic years? - the accommodations are Turkey is much cheaper.
