  • I followed your advice and went back to level up a bit, get some more weapons, upgrade etc. Also did some side-quests and fixed some technical issues. Oh yeah, and blew some stuff up again 😂

Oh I forgot two more things I wanted to tell you. You wondered about the exclamation mark above the Oseram guy at the mine. I think there are still some minor glitches, so it can happen and you see this sign at someone although he or she has no news to tell. Or also the other way round, you talk to someone who shows no exclamation mark and in the conversation you‘ll see, he has some news to tell.
And the other thing was diving, just press X, and Aloy will turn up quickly.

A few of the side quests are staggered: you can't complete them until something else happens (the Embassy allows you to access the second part of 'the Bristelbacks'. Also, there are some things like the firegleam crystal you discovered, which you won't be able to do for a while (which encourages you to return to an area). Still, there are a couple of other things you can pick up on in the Daunt. They're not too hard to stumble on. 'Machine Strike' is something to chill out with, perhaps not when recording. Upgrading weapons is a lot more complex than in ZD, and may involve some errands in themselves. Coils can only be applied to a fully upgraded weapon/outfit. Annoyingly, you can't add coils while crafting! You have to switch to the weapons inventory. A useful tip if you want to practice weapon skills and aiming: find a safe area near a fire. Tenakh hunting grounds provide you with targets like posts. When you run out of (expensive!) ammo, reload the game from the last save. Another useful tip if, like me, you prefer to keep machines at a safe distance: keep stocked up on machine muscle fibers as they're essential for sharpshot arrows. They are available from merchants as well as machines, and are usually what you run low on first. That said, I did have one embarrassing occasion when, while clearing out a rebel camp, I found I had run out of.. shards?! (Had to mug one and loot them.)

Sounds a lot like my experience playing TotK after BotW: In BotW I was always buying arrows and never ran out, in TotK they're everywhere so I don't buy them, but somehow I run out of arrows all the time ^^

Very nice video, and don't mind technical problems or a bit chaos, it's really fun watching you playing and above all improving your abilities.
Maybe a little hint for chests out of reach. Some of them you can pull down with the pullcaster.
As for the skills you're asking for I like the triple notch for hunter bows that works the same as in Zero Dawn. You can put up to three arrows on the string to cast more damage with one shot. AFAIR you find it in the Warrior or Hunter skill tree.
For sneaking and killing silently the Stealth Stalker is very usefull because you nearly get invisible for some time. That is the first Valor Surge you can find in the Infiltrator skill tree.
And I have to say I like your suggestions about the background of the game. Do you already know the Horizon Wiki? There you can read a bit more about it.
And because I heard out, you don't like Ulvund (who really does?), I strongly recommend you to finish the side quest with the bristlebacks. 😉

Personally I would avoid the wiki until finishing this game, in order to avoid spoilers. I agree about the bristleback quest, however

@@12_Feet_Up Yeah, that‘s right of course. You find a lot of background infos to the games but also some spoilers.

Thanks! I think I'll finish the Bristleback quest then!
