Nice comparison! staying with the Thump Go's! Just used the Thump Go last night for an employee pumpkin festival and got numerous compliments on the sound coming out of the Thump Go's.

I have 2 Thump Go's and I feel like it needs more base. The Bose S1 pro has a better bass response, but I was able to get 2 of the Go's for the price of 1 Bose

In use the Thump Go with Prime Go for ceremony’s and pop up parties! But I also keep those with me as backups when the power goes out! Has happened and the party could keep going with my Titan 360 Tubes and Xvive connected mic! Not a lot of money to be prepared and portable! Love seeing the Thrash. Great comparison!

Thank you for the review. I added a couple Thump Go’s to the collection last spring. Sound is powerful for its size. I really wish Mackie would’ve had on-board EQ to them. But outside of that I’m very happy with them. In my humble opinion, Mackie should’ve added a Thump Go sub with 2 8” drivers, or a 10” driver before the Thrash 12. If I have a need for something the size of the Thrash 12 I’m bringing my regular set up and just adding my small Generac inverter generator. The Thrash 12 might make sense if I was just starting and didn’t have anything else, but given what I already have, it won’t be getting added to my “collection”.

That's about what I expected from both speakers in terms of sound, but part of why I grabbed the Thump Go is the tertiary features like EQ modes, Feedback Elim, etc. I'm not mad at the Thrash stuff, but what I really want is a true Thump 12 Go. When/if Mackie drops those I'll probably start selling some of my extra speakers so I can grab a pair.

Great Job. Love your energy and honest approach. You review for all levels and when someone at your level of success uses “ entry level “ and has it perform well, it helps the weekend warriors that are not always able to to afford the higher price gear buy with more confidence. A great product is great, no matter what level gear, in my opinion.
I know you have top of the line gear as well and it is that combination that makes your reviews so trustworthy.
Great balance between product and price.

I have 4 of the thump gos and they rock I have used them this past year at over 35 gigs and have run them with music playback for a minimum of 5 hrs and the battery and the batteries have never come off the green fantastic. Prior to these I had 4 of the supposed super high end brand and the batteries were junk compared to these

just fyi the passthrough on both the thump go and thrash go will not play bluetooth audio, you will need a mixer or a bluetooth 3.5mm receiver connected on the AUX in if you plan on connecting a subwoofer

My Everse 8 blows my Thump Go out of the water. Everse 8 is my main ceremony speaker has plenty of mic volume and headroom. No need for an external mixer. I will be selling my Thump Go asap it just doesn’t cut it and not loud enough.

I don’t see why they didn’t do this with a premium speaker instead of an entry level. Most of us already have a battery speaker and won’t downgrade from what we already have.

Trash not having a stereo jack input or RCA input is very very DISSAPOINTING as well as the more LEDs for knowing how much juice is still awailable! Don't know what they were thinking. For this reason alone I'd not be buying this speaker. I am a DJ and shopping for a pair of speakers, is there any other battery powered speaker you know of and you'd recomend for a crowd of 100-150 people?

I'm not a real DJ but I'm responsible for the bluetooth music at every family gathering including birthday parties, backyard BBQ, pool parties, beach parties, camping, etc. I would say we use the speaker 80% outdoors and 20% indoors. We are looking for something with heavy bass at close range. Would you recommend the Thump Go or Thrash Go? or should we wait for the SRT Go?

I wonder how JBL partybox lineup compares. The only thing that's crazy to me is that the party boxes do not have a balanced connection... the new party box ultimate doesn't even have a balance input at $1,700 which I know isn't a comparison to these Mackie speakers. For my curiosity on comparison I was thinking more along the lines of the Party Box 310 which is battery powered.

@ClevelandTerry are you thinking a party box 310 versus the thump or thrash is a apples oranges comparison ? I suppose the Eon one would be the better comparison. Sorry I just haven't heard any of the battery powered PA speakers but I have heard the party box 310 and it sounds really good could rival the battery powered PA speakers, the light show on the speakers could be fun for certain events you never know. 😉
