Fun fact when dio is yelling what seems like gibberish he is actually shouting Muda multiple tines very fast which is japanese for Useless so dio when he's yelling gibberish when punching fast he's yelling Useless just thought you'd like to know what he's yelling at people
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Just for context: When Dio is confronted by JoJo and the gang at the end of part 1, he is asked how many people he has killed, drained, and made a zombie (over 70 people if you're wondering). Dio being Dio, responded with "Can you remember all the loaves of bread you've eaten in your life?" Saying human life is worthless and eating them is as much as eating a slice of bread. Bastard
I don’t care if Alucard lost. He easily had the coldest line ever dropped on this show “What the hell are you?” “A real. Fucking. Vampire.” Magnificent
It actually came from Hellsing Ultimate Abridged which is hilarious and a total recommend. Alucard's voice in this is actually the se voice from Abridged
@@anthonyhudak9363 I've considered watching it, but since I haven't watched the actual Hellsing I assumed most of the inside jokes or references would go over my head. I noticed when I binged DBZA that some clever lines dropped here and there wouldn't have made any sense if I hadn't already seen the original DB
What's funny is that Dio was this OP physically, strong enough to contend with his own stand, and yet he was still RECOVERING from his death in Part 1. Meaning the Dio that Jonathan Joestar beat was actually FASTER AND STRONGER than the Dio we saw. Though, he of course didn't have a stand in Part 1. People tend to forget that Jonathan is the strongest Hamon user besides Perfect Kars, and is stronger than pretty much any stand when it comes to his stats. He is absolutely busted.
Okay Hamon, sure. Stand strength? Hell no. Not in a million years. Not in a billion millennia. Physically weaker than most combat stands. Less durable than almost every stand. And much slower than most stands.
I can definitely bet that many people immediately recommending the Hellsing's abridged version, especially for the fact that the voice actor for the Abridged Alucard voiced in this Death Battle, but it's hilarious, bloody, gory, and so goddamn badass!
I do love Alucard, and even though he lost this battle because JoJo characters are always OP as shit he isn't any less cool. Hellsing is a nutty show that doesn't skimp on the details when it comes to establishing the vampire mythos and stuff. They state openly in the show that his Casull pistol and its bullets are made out of the melted down silver cross from Manchester Cathedral, because you know regular silver or regular blessings weren't holy enough.
@@acrab6527 actually a lot of stuff is planned. Its just the minor stuff is winged. The overall plot was always about Fate, showing how Fate is a powerful force in JoJo pre Steelball Run. After Steel Ball run, its more about Calamity and Misfortune.
@@acrab6527 Yea, he base the characters and such which isnt a big deal. He always tend to make it work. He's been doing this for YEARSSSSSS. He has to always adapt to the time period or whatever. I think he is doing a damn good job moving from years to years countries to countries, timelines to timelines. Who cares at that point about a random power up, because we will eventually move away from that character anyways. They might not even be alive in the next part.
Most people who make reactions one way or another preferred Alucard. They were very upset when he lost. I think that Alucard as a character is loved more than Dio.
Also to quote Abridged Alucard: “I know this is filthy rich coming from me… but your powers are bullshit”. JoJo makes Dio so insanely OP that frankly it makes no sense that he ever loses.
Even Jojo fans like myself "Love to hate" dio. He's such an incredible scumbag that seeing jonathan go to town beating the shit out of dio after he kissed Erina is one of the most satisfying scenes I've ever seen in anime, ever. If you're not a jojo fan you're just gonna hate the guy when all you're seeing is a list of the fucked up stuff he did, lol.
@@anderspike7895 I think you're right. Among the architects of this fight, there is one man who wrote this suenary back in 2017. I read it. Alucard was killed back in 2017. I don't know the name of this man. He always has a crazy look in the video. And corresponding with those who know him very well, they say that he is really a big fan of the anime Jo-Jo. Therefore, I was not surprised by the result of the fight.
@@anderspike7895 But what upset me the most was something else. They ignored the Dandy Men's cards. Which stop regeneration. They ignored Rip Van Winkel's bullets. They also did not take into account that the gun turned off the regeneration of Anderson. Considering that Dio, for some reason, will not take it seriously. Alucard's third eye was not activated. And most importantly. Alucard first says "They call me the Bird of Hermes..." and then the army is released. They did the opposite. :(
Still my favourite episode of dB to date. Also they got the abridged voice actor for alucard (who also voices Deadpool in other episodes) so that's also great
Hellsing holds a special place for me, it was one of the shows that introduced me to Anime. It was mature, edgy, the opening song slapped, and it was just different and unique.
@@aldiascholarofthefirstsin1051 I was like 14, my experiance with anime was, ruruni kenshin, pokemon/digimon/yuhioh and dragonball, so yeah Hellsing felt different. I tried watching Hellsing Ultimate but it wasnt as good, but my memories with Hellsing are still very positive.
You two should definitely checkout Hellsing Ultimate abridged, that's where alucards line and voice actor in the death battle came from, and it was made by team four star.
Happy that you appreciate "a real fucking vampire". That line was taken from the Hellsing Ultimate Abridged Series, also made by Team Four Star. As such, when you're done with DBZA, that'll be the series you'll want to check next.
I must say I love how you guys made it into a game while watching the death battles! Cheering for the both of you^^ I also wanted to give a recommendation for future battles: there will be a new battle in a week or so between Sauron and the Lich King from WoW, and considering the fact that you’re familiar with both of these characters, would you mind adding it into your list? I’m sure it’s going to be a sick battle, since they’ve been hyping it for a while now and I would really love to see your insight and reaction to it!
Verdict Rundown and explanation Big note here, Alucard has never been seen using his normal abilities alongside Schrodinger, so if Alucard got both his normal abilities and Schrodinger, we might as well give DIO the World Over Heaven (that is to say, give him something he shouldn't have). Spoilers for the battle. Basically: Notes on battle: Schrodinger is not used because 1. It is canon that Alucard cannot have his more interesting abilities alongside Schrodinger, 2. Schrodinger makes this a stalemate until DIO uses his superior hypnosis to rid Alucard of Schrodinger and 3.He has almost no feats with Schrodinger (he has the form for less than five pages). Alucard is not able to just wait out until the sun comes up because he doesn't know DIO is weak to the sun. Also DIO is not stupid enough to stay in sunlight and can easily handle Alucard in close-quarters so no dragging DIO out into the sun either. Finally, that would be a boring way to end the match and no one wants that. The level zero is used in the animation because no one has the patience to wait for DIO to kill Alucard 3 million times (and no one has the budget for that in a web animation) which he could easily do thanks to his massive stat advantage and firepower. Effectively it was simply used to speed along to the most likely verdict. Alucard: +Better Healing Factor, +More Experience, +More Consistent Healing Source, +Longer Range with multiple options, -MASSIVE STAT DISADVANTAGE that meant a normal fight is out of the question, -Poor Strategy (A war of attrition against an opponent of DIO will not work and that's pretty much Alucard's only strategy), -Many of his tools and abilities were useless (MUDA) due to Jojo vampires being mostly superior to standard Hellsing vampires and the timestop, -Unable to inflict damage that DIO could not heal from (especially when Alucard sheds so much blood), =Never shown passive resistance to Mind-control (no illusions don't count) DIO: +MASSIVE STAT ADVANTAGE (This is the big clincher for DIO's victory as it renders almost anything Alucard can do as useless, MUDA), +Can Heal from any damage Alucard can inflict (if not dodge it thanks to superior speed and time stop), +DIO has multiple forms of hypnosis that work at a distance, +Timestop is unfair, +Stands are unfair VS non-Stand users, +Had the firepower to destroy 3 million souls, +Much more proactive fighter, +Better strategist and more adaptable in fighting, -Less experience, -Arrogance is the big reason he usually loses to the Joestars, -Less ranged options, = Never shown resistance to mind-control Side note: Yes while the exact stats are in some ways questionable, especially for DIO, the gap is not. Jojo being a much more battle-based show naturally has characters with much more physical feats than a show like hellsing. Even if alucard can somewhat keep up in strength, there is literally no argument against Dio's speed (which is at absolute minimum, light. That's a speed Alucard has never been shown to fight or match) that doesn't require wanking Alucard to high heavens. Also here's the link for the ultraguy blog detailing their research and several questions on the match. If the link doesn't show up then just type in Ultraguy Dio Versus Alucard QNA ulltraguy . blogspot . com/2021/10/dio-vs-alucard-q-feat-liam . html
Find it interesting nearly identical feats (literally uses Jotaro scenes) have diff “mathematical” outcomes. Went from almost the speed of light w/ Jotaro’s own scene & said 1500x that for Dio… Jotaro literally has the same stand abilities & strength (minus the mask/vampire abilities). Something isn’t adding up lol. This was a great fight & reaction.
That usually just cause of the episode were death battle didn't use or believe certain things at that time, nowadays they do use light speed for jojo but back in the day they didn't or didn't believe Light speed jojo was a thing
I loved watching JoJo -just to hate on Dio and his crew -random fashion poses during scenes -made me appreciate fashion -the bizarre concepts explored -musical references -culture and art
That bread bit was for a popular quote in season 1 "Tell me you bastard, how many lives have you drained to heal your wounds!?" "I don't know, do you remember how much bread you've eaten in your life?"
This is only theoretical since it hasn't been shown in canon (as far as I know), but if they had used post Schrodinger Alucard, he should've been unkillable unless Dio could somehow make Alucard lose awareness of himself. Not sure that would've made much of a difference if Alucard himself didn't have any means to kill Dio. I've said this previously, but keep in mind that the Hellsing abridge has a lot of great moments, and a lot good jokes especially towards the end, but it also has a lot of very uncomfortable jokes to get through. Especially in the first 2-3 episodes.
and the argument that Dio would have hyptonized Alucard doesn't make sense, as Alucard can also hypnotize his opponents. So they probably can't hypnotise each other.
Post Schroedinger, Alcuard could simply manifest within Dio's mind like Schroedinger did in Soren Blitz's mind and kill Dio's soul from within. Dio lacks defenses against such an attack and Alucard has had plenty of practice from killing 5 million souls within himself.
@@skyton67 but alucard has been hypnotized before and having hypnosis doesn't mean you can counter it unless it's stated or shown. Plus dio doesn't need that type of hypnosis he could always put a flesh bud on alucard and eject him that way.
ITS HERE :D Seeing you two fall in love with Alucard and cheer for him was awesome, like the DB itself and your reaction! I was wondering… are you still gonna keep reacting to DB even after New Years Eve? 🥺
Yes we will. It’ll just be a new season for us 🙂 we will even react to some in December but just won’t be part of the bet. Like Superman vs Goku rematch. Someone already spoiled that for us so no need to bet on that one but we still want to see it 😁
Thing is that the scale on silver chariot sho was used to reference dios speed wasn't even the fastest it coukd go, there's a moment in the shoe silver chariot moves so fast it literally exists 5 times at once
Good choice. My bet were also on Alucard. By first time seeing this. That's one of the reasons why I don't like the JoJo series. But I have to admit it... Alucard is still very very powerful and will always have a high rank in the list of OP Anime Characters...but..that was 17+ years ago. Hellsing Ultimate OVA came out in 2005. And that's when Alucard was God Tier. Now there are other God Tier Characters, and that's okay. But since I don't like the concept of JoJo, as well as the artstyle, I'll stick with Hellsing.
Alucard is a hideous monster. But he has some good moments... as does his protegee, Seras Victora aka Policegirl. ❤ Smart, cute, loyal, big bazookas, hot peach, very tragic backstory, badass. Nuff said ! Thanks Beth. F*ck that Guy indeed 😆
Here is a for instance I thought you might like. First off, this isn’t Dracula or Alucard, this is Trevor Belmont. A member of a religious demon hunting order, he returned from a mission to be told by the elders of his order that his wife died, had been murdered, in fact. He was also told that if he went against the 13 generals of Hell - Dracula, as leader of the vampire army, being one of them - and defeated them. He could demand his wife back from limbo. He agreed and one by one vented his rage at what happened to her on each general. Vampire, werewolf, ghoul, Demon and so, on, until not only had he taken their lives but their power and curse. Belmont became the world’s first multi-bred. That was when he found out that he’d been used. His own order had killed his wife in order to get him to do this. They believed killing one monster was easier than killing a Bakers dozen. So, they sent the entire order to kill him. Alucard came too. ua-cam.com/video/_JJZSRZQUjQ/v-deo.html
That’s what I am saying. I mean abridged is funny and all just the original is way better. Starting with Hellsing abridged is like starting Touhou with KKHTA.
Tbh that was such an unfair matchup, they don't even belong to the same realm in terms of abilities. Their only common point is the fact that they're both vampires.
Knowing the way Death Battle likes to powerscale and knowing DIO himself I think it's hard to go into this and think DIO could even lose conceptually. I'm glad my boy won but I definitely feel like Alucard could've put up a better fight than they gave him credit for.
This is probably the one I’m most upset about the outcome. Even without the omnipresence Dio would have to kill Alucard what, a few million times? Why would Alucard EVER open himself up to let that happen? Dio straight up can’t kill him in time otherwise Also not being able to use Schroedinger and his powers is bullshit cause it’s just the extra abilities he gets from souls, not his regular abilities. So no shadow clones, no magic playing cards or whatever
It's like they said at the end, with the immense speed and power difference (Along with Dio stopping time as often as he wants) along with never getting tired and constantly getting fresh blood from ripping alucard apart, he could feasibly tear through those millions of souls throughout the night. Even if we're assuming he can't kill him ENTIRELY in one night, it's not like alucard could capitalize on the sun part.
@@megasuperiordude it would literally take Dio weeks, close to a month, to kill Alucard enough to make him stay dead. And that’s if he was killed every second, not including the time it takes him to revive
@@riastradh If we assume he has to wait for alucard to revive, sure, but it doesn't really matter since alucard would never be able to kill dio at any point during that. It would just be painfully drug out, with alucard being killed tens of thousands of times per night. That's not even taking into consideration that dio was getting stronger as his fight with jotaro went on, because it's hard to factor in if his timestop would ever stop getting longer with each use.
@@megasuperiordudemate it’s approximately 3 million. Also no. Alucard would put up a huge fight not to mention he would probably hypnotize DIO because DIO is not an authentic vampire. Alucard is more of an upper demon than he is a vampire.
So, I dunno if you guys are aware of this, but Team Fourstar also made an abridged series for Hellsing Ultimate, the anime Alucard is from. In fact, Death Battle had Takahata 101, the voice actor for Alucard in that abridged series, to reprise the role of Alucard in this episode. The writing for Hellsing Ultimate Abridged is amazing, even better than where you guys currently are in DBZA, and with the exception of the first episode, it's that high in terms of quality though the rest of the ten episodes. I'd highly recommend reacting to that series as well, but fair warning, it is violent and dark, but still VERY funny and well written.
i instantly recognized Alucard's voice in this, that's the guy that does Cell in i thin DBZA or it could be Devil Artimus who has his own Cell themed channel i can't remember which ne as i haven't seen either in a while..
Taking The World’s speed into account means that it could realistically punch Alucard a billion times in just one second so DIO could definitely kill all three million of The No Life King’s lives.
Except for the fact that Alucard already killed all of the 3 million+ souls to "recognize his own existence," meaning he should functionally not even have his pseudo-extra lives - he should have Schrodinger's ability and, thus, actually be immortal. But then DB couldn't do that because it would literally Carnage vs Lucy to the nth degree, a battle between one who can't really hurt the other but the other can't fully put down the one. So they nerfed Alucard so they could still do their Vampire vs Vampire battle with a definitive winner.
@@MrrynLike they said they can't give him his greater array of powers & Schrodinger without breaking the lore/rules besides Schrodinger does't help him kill DIO at all so at worst it's just a stalemate & like they've brought up they don't like doing draws plus Schrodinger Alucard requires a lot of assumptions anyway.
@@adambump5297 I mean, it's not much of an assumption when it says as much in the source material. lol Dude was literally popped out of existence, he killed the other souls to have a sense of identity back, but Alucard has never demonstrated any ability to remake himself from literal quantum nothingness. So either he has that capability, learned it in the 30 years of nonexistence, or has it from Schrodinger, the only person who has demonstrated the ability to disappear after dying and reappearing even in a completely different location. The idea of coming to a conclusion that he just killed all the other souls and Schrodinger and that act alone just brought him back because *shrug* goes against logic (what logic there is with quantum Nazi catboys and a vampire lord believing spelling his name backwards is a viable disguise). And putting the battle forward like this on that line of logic, and going with the idea of "not liking draws" and wanting there to be a definitive winner in their thematic Halloween battle, just puts a sour taste in things by making the result and subsequent analysis/reasoning feel super disingenuous. Especially when they later freely incorporate full sets of abilities for characters despite some of those being the result of setup or incredibly circumstantial/one-time buffs. And I'm not even saying this gets Alucard a win; neither do the "variety" of abilities he gets otherwise. They chose an incredibly lopsided stomp victory instead of what honestly should be a legitimate stalemate, almost as if fans who requested this battle recognize that it is basically the unstoppable force vs immovable object of vampiric assholes. Not even mentioning how it didn't stop them giving Dio credit for his part 1 capabilities even though "lore/story-wise" he shouldn't because he stole Jonathan's body which rejects him. It honestly feels, and this coming from someone who enjoys both series, like they got the request, it fit with the theme (after the werewolf battle), and realized part-way through that they were at a complete impasse but were in too deep by that point. So they made the logical leap (or I guess the logic equivalent of sitting down) to set up a clear winner for the battle with more "visual appeal" even though the battle as they present it is a laughable curbstomp.
Wow, stands are really overpowered. I think Alucard could have won with pre-stand Dio. I'm really enjoying your death battle reactions. Can't wait to see your cosplays.
I doubt Alucard would've used restraint level 0. The only reason he uses it in the original is because they had to fight 2 different armies at the same time so Integra gives the order but against one opponent or even a group he'd have no reason to use it. As they said, all it does is bring out all the souls he's consumed but makes him vulnerable, it'd be stupid to bring it out when fighting someone like Dio and Alucard is not stupid. Not saying he would've won, just saying he wouldn't have used that. And anyway, from what I recall he was stabbed through the heart when he had released the souls and he still survived
I could see Restraint Level 1 Alucard winning against Dio, but it wouldn't be easy. I could easily see Dio beating that too. Schroedinger-Alucard however... yea, no... Dio would be toast, even if he had Over Heaven.
DIO is such a beast. It's insane considering this isn't even his strongest form. In one of the games (non-canon) he becomes DIO Over Heaven in an alternate reality where he succeeded in his fight against Jotaro and enacted his plan while still alive. Jojo characters, especially Part 3, are so broken by most other universes' metrics that it's crazy. It helps the storytelling though since with everyone being overpowered you're forced to outsmart your opponent rather than beat them in a head-on fight. In his battle against Jonathan Joestar (1st Jojo) where Dio killed him, he defeated him while being only a head. After that he changed his name to DIO, dropping his last name and developing a God complex. He was so powerful that it took 4 characters together to take down DIO, including Jotaro (3rd Jojo) and Polnareff (Silver Chariot), with the other two members moving at similar lightspeeds. Out of a whole roster of 6, DIO's subordinate Vanilla Ice (yes, that is his name) killed 2 and left DIO with the remaining 4 others and he still only lost because of his arrogance. He killed 2 more, crippled Polnareff further, forced Jotaro to stop and start his heart, broke several ribs, almost crippled him, and dropped a steam roller on him. One of the other dead characters got resuscitated as it was not too late, but DIO in his base form was enough to nearly end the whole series twice! It's crazy to think that if he survived, he would only gain more and more power. He theorized that he could get his timestop to work for a whole minute shortly after their battle, at which point nothing could defeat him.
eyes of heaven is cannon to itself and maybe the OVA due to the oil-tanker on the bridge instead of the road roller, in short it happens in another universe like the new JJBA parts (well 3 new universes to be exact if don't count the heaven realm).
I also kinda feel like if Death Battle would have given Alucard Schroedingers paradoxical existance, it probably should have been fair to give Dio also the The World over Heaven stand, as this is theoretically the strongest form he had in an officially released piece of media, which would have made the battle fully one sided, as Heaven Ascension DIO probably could just erase or rewrite a paradoxical existance.
Fun fact, they got hellsing abridged’s alucard to voice him in this battle! And the “a real f***ing vampire” line was even referencing it. And I know you said you’ve gotten a lot of requests for it already, but this video gives me as good an excuse as any, so I’d 100% recommend hellsing abridged. Easily my favorite series team four star has put out.
8:18 No he didn't, he did re-set the universe at the end of part 6, but he was killed before making any changes, what also caused him to be erased from existence, he lost harder than any other villain in JoJo, people usually get confused because part 7 is a reboot and they think it's the re-set universe but it's not, it's a completely different one
Hellsing is a totally awesome manga/anime that you should definitely check out and will most likely love, even despite this spoiling some of the twists/best moments. Alucard is the best! This was a great Death Battle, even if they did do my boy Alucard dirty. Oh well. Cheers!
This was a really good one, one of their best! Still unsure if I agree with the results, though I can understand why they chose him. Honestly Dio's level of pettiness is one I've not seen since reverse flash(can't wait till you two get to his death battle) and that's saying something!
I saw this death battle a few weeks ago. It was definitely one of the better episodes in terms of how it was put together, but my main problem with it was how big a stomp they portrayed it would be. Yeah, I can accept that The World is fast, but I really seriously doubt that it is 1500c fast. The World is lightspeed or near-lightspeed at most. On top of that, it was made pretty explicitly clear midway through Stardust Crusaders that DIO couldn't use most of his vampiric abilities from Phantom Blood due to Jonathan's body rejecting him, and even if he could, I doubt he would've used them because he was so confident in The World and improving its time stop. What irks me about giving DIO his part 1 powers in this fight is that they didn't use the same excuse to give Alucard his Schrödinger powers. Ultimately, I don't think this changes the outcome that much, but it would be nowhere near the stomp they portray it as. In my opinion, DIO ultimately takes this because of how spammable The World's time stop is and how much faster he is, but that is the only reason. If he slips up even once, Alucard will just destroy him in an instant.
How do you reckon it wouldn't change the outcome? Dio literally has no win condition against Schrödinger-Alucard. Sure, he can kill him, but what does that matter when he can will himself back alive endlessly? Not only that, but Dio lacks defenses against Alucard's mental attacks and with Schrödinger Alucard can manifest within Dio's mind and kill his soul from within. Dio literally has no win condition against Schrödinger-Alucard.
Both can mind control but aren't resistant to it. DIO is hundreds of thousands of times faster both in speed and reactions than Alucard. He can try all or his options in the time that Alucard tries his first, which means DIO mind controls Alucard and ejects Schrodinger before Alucard can try anything else. Either way, DIO wins.
@@ShimmerScarlet You can't "eject" Schrödinger's powers, they're part of Alucard. They're not like the other souls, Alucard only reappears when he can gaze at himself and stabilize himself through observation of the quantum phenomenon and therefore that means he's the only one left in the end. That means that Schrödinger doesn't exist anymore. Alucard either absorbed him and fused completely as opposed to what he does to other souls or he simply took his powers for himself and set his soul free. Either way, he can't separate himself from Schrödinger (or at least Schrödinger's powers) otherwise he wouldn't have been able to reappear with Schrödinger's powers in the first place.
@@Arkayjiya That is not correct simply by the sheer explanation of how Schrodinger's abilities conflict with Alucard's. Unless you can pull up somewhere in the Manga where it explicitly says "Schrodinger doesn't exist anymore and Alucard has all his powers still", this is just flat out wrong. All of that is moot though since he needs to be able to perceive his existence to live; which would be impossible to do when Dio stops time and literally vaporizes his body with a stand rush.
@@acrab6527 Mental trauma has no bearing on the power of their hypnosis so none of this makes a lick of sense. Dio's hypnosis is complete control regardless of the mental state of his victim and to my knowledge no where is it ever stated Schrodinger grants immunity to any form of hypnosis or any form of mind manipulation. Even with Shcrodinger, Dio wins this match up; their explanation as to why was pretty clear cut on the basis we can prove hypnosis works on Alucard as he has a history of being affected by it, we cannot prove it works on Dio as there isn't a precedent. He wouldn't even need to use his hypnosis to do it, he could just stop time and physically take control of Alucard's mind with a flesh bud. Unless you can show in the Manga where it explicitly says "Shcrodinger Alucard is immune to all forms of mental manipulation" then your assessment is just straight wrong. Nor does it prove he could do anything of the things you're claiming to Dio. All of that is moot though since he needs to be able to perceive his existence to live; which would be impossible to do when Dio stops time and literally vaporizes his body with a stand rush.
almost every time i watch this Death Battle, i tend to go watch the DBX version where there's no research and just a quick match, less then 3 mins, hell my favorite is Bruce Lee vs everyone
Dio isn’t my favorite Jojo villain but his stand The World is by far the coolest. It’s design is great and it’s redesign in the other JoJo universe is even better because then it gets some watches/clocks on its body to match the stopping time aspect.
I’d seriously recommend taking a dive into JoJos, it’s one of the most popular manga and anime series’ globally and for good reason, with a run time of about 35 years the story and characters are truly something to experience
This is still one of my Favorite Death Battles. Both analysis were great, the voice acting for both Dio and Alucard were Amazing, Dio for getting the Japanese lines in there (ROAD ROLADA, and MUDA MUDA) cause Dio's more meme-able in Japanese, and Alucard being his Abridged va Takahata101(or as you may know him as GHOST NAPA). And the music and action were heart pounding. It's just So Good
This is the most attrocious analysis in DB to date. They completely ignored Schroedinger-Alucard and misrepresented Alucard base ability kit and then proceeded to use the weakest form Alucard has. Yea, no... this battle was attrocious. Even with The World Over Heaven wouldn't be enough to keep Alucard dead as he can always will himself back alive even from literal non-existence.
@@Caldera01 Death Battle can be Biased at times, even Takahata doesn't agree with the results "that is actually Balucard, we purposely trained him wrong as a joke". But after all these years of Death Battle I've come to learn to take these as entertainment first and not as factual "this is who wins". Can someone be unhappy with the results of a Death Battle? Of course, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but in the end it's just a video to entertain the audience, not really worth raging over. I like Alucard more than Dio, and thematically it would have been better for Alucard to win and not die to one who's rejected their humanity, but I still enjoyed the video. When I said I liked the analysis I more focus on the edits, pacing, and writing, and of course the VOs for the combatants were on point, the action is well paced, the animated shots were cool, and the references in the fight felt more natural than forced than it does in other death battles. People can enjoy this battle, that's fine, and people can not enjoy this battle, that's also fine, cause at the end of the day it's just another video on the internet.
@@CyberDalek17 It's not really a matter of opinion though, it's demonstrably false. Personally I don't care which I like more, there are many characters I liked way more that ended up losing, justifiably so. But that's just it, this one wasn't justifiable. Oh, they did try to justify it, by lying about how Schroedinger works, which is what really pisses me off. If they wanted to make Dio win, that's fine. But don't piss over people and call it a warm rain.
@@Caldera01 How did they lie about the cat? He literally had to get rid of everything else he had stored up just to be able to use it, that implies he can't have both at the same time. Even then, alucard literally doesn't physically compare to Dio and couldn't kill him if he wanted to. Even if we discuss hypnosis, dio is faster and would thus get his off first. Not dying to your opponent doesn't mean you win, it's a stalemate as they said.
Alucard what kills absorbs it is the most terrifying thing in anime no matter how you tear it apart I think this is won by Alucar but the characters of jojojo are so good they are very strong
While I definitely recommend Hellsing Ultimate Abridged later down the line, there are two important things you should know going into it: 1) Much like DBZA, it's extremely rough right off the bat and gets much better later on. However, because it's only like ten episodes long it doesn't take anywhere near the same amount of time to get good as DBZA does, because they only did one episode a year (during October for Halloween). DBZA took until the Freiza Saga to get "good", HUA gets "good" at Episode 3, and it's honestly kinda jarring when watched in quick succession. 2) It's extremely dark humor. While it does mature as the series goes on, it's very much 2008 Internet Edgelord in the first two episodes.
I won't lie, episode 3 was the last episode I thought was good. Episode 4 was forgettable and I had to stop in the middle of episode 5 because it was starting to feel very DBZA Android saga levels of writing. Episodes 1 & 2 might be internet edgelord incarnate, but it has far too many memorable lines to totally discount.
Hey, I want you guys to do your next fight for Friday, and do Goku Black vs Reverse Flash, and hear Reverse Flash’s analysis and talk amongst yourselves about who’s more petty and evil, Dio or Reverse Flash
If I could suggest a video to watch which is one of my favorite death battles. Check out Goku Black vs Reverse Flash Deathbattle. The fight the Menaces lol since they both are pretty crazy
You really need to react to Hellsing Ultimate Abridged now. It's from TeamFourStar, the DBZA guys, and is still a great way to familarize yourself with the story of Hellsing. And now, the "A Real F*cking Vampire" line, will make sense to you if you watch it, as it was the voice actor for Alucard in the fight is the same from that series. Plus, it's a lot of the "nothing is off-limits" kind of humor you guys like from DBZA, but jacked up to 11.
Interesting death battle never would have saw that coming. Also question: In your guy's opinion, who do you guys think would win a battle. The Incredibles or Big Hero 6. Also did you guys know that BH6 has a tv series that takes place after the movie. There's also a video I want you guys to react to on this topic. DanCo :)
@@sparkytepig Well yeah but since the BH6 series takes place after the movie because death battle goes through all of the characters feats and power ups etc.
Even I don’t think DIO should’ve won, I’m fine with Jojo power scaling not being super massive. Hax can really only do so much against durability etc, and that’s fine
Everyone saying to not react to Hellsing Ultimate Abridged until they're done with DBZA but guys, look at the calendar! This is the PERFECT time to react to it! It's not like HUA spoils anything in DBZA so why not do it now?
Poetic as always lovebirds........ At this point Bethany just might become a dog loving hero called Canis Prima Or a villain known as Fenris Soul-Claw, but either way Both are cool no matter how you put it.
Wait where in the show was it stated that Alucard can't absorb souls anymore after getting schrodinger? IIRC alucard just explained he had to kill his extra souls to regain his sense of self. I don't remember the show ever bothering with explaining more than that?
Dio has to be one of the most genuinely evil characters in anime. At least Frieza was doing it for dominion. Dio does it because he believes he's just better than everyone else.
Funny thing is. JoJo fans are fully aware of how unlimitedly awful of a person DIO is as well as how much of an absolute third of a turd. But at the same time we love him because despite all of that his charisma and actions ooze so much personality that we can't help but love him. Though personally my favorite JoJo villain is the main antagonist of Part 4 whom is designed to look like David Bowie cross Ted Bundy with an egyptian mummy cat style stand called Killer Queen that blows things up. It also has two secondary powers called Sheer Heart Attack and Bites the Dust. Having a stand thats nothing but Queen references as well as being a relatable villain on a level of being self aware of his actions being bad and hating it to the point of living with it and wanting a quiet peaceful life was enough to make me get a Kira themed hoodie. JoJo is quite full of villains you learn to love as much as you love seeing the good guys beat the absolute crap out of them.
Fun fact when dio is yelling what seems like gibberish he is actually shouting Muda multiple tines very fast which is japanese for Useless so dio when he's yelling gibberish when punching fast he's yelling Useless just thought you'd like to know what he's yelling at people
It doesn't sound like gibberish to me.
Thanks for letting us know! It did sound like jibberish but him calling someone useless as he is kicking their ass is quite funny 😂

Yeah its his way of reminding that anything they do would be useless
Any jojo fan knows that lol

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Just for context: When Dio is confronted by JoJo and the gang at the end of part 1, he is asked how many people he has killed, drained, and made a zombie (over 70 people if you're wondering). Too bad Dio was a god.
@@TheDeadman419 honestly I watched the abridged first and I never found myself confused about what was going on
What's funny is that Dio was this OP physically, strong enough to contend with his own stand, and yet he was still RECOVERING from his death in Part 1.
😎💪
You mean Johnathan Joestar's boby right after Dio took it in the end of part 1
Okay Hamon, sure. Stand strength? Hell no. Not in a million years. Not in a billion millennia. Physically weaker than most combat stands. Less durable than almost every stand. And much slower than most stands.
Lisa Lisa is probably stronger than Jonathan, but that's less because of potential and more because of training (and being alive to train xd)

Way to admit you are not a Hellsing fan.
Verdict Rundown and explanation
Big note here, Alucard has never been seen using his normal abilities alongside Schrodinger, so if Alucard got both his normal abilities and Schrodinger, we might as well give DIO the World Over Heaven (that is to say, give him something he shouldn't have). Spoilers for the battle.
Basically:
Notes on battle: Schrodinger is not used because 1.
Alucard: +Better Healing Factor, +More Experience, +More Consistent Healing Source, +Longer Range with multiple options, -MASSIVE STAT DISADVANTAGE that meant a normal fight is out of the question, -Poor Strategy (A war of attrition against an opponent of DIO will not work and that's pretty much Alucard's only strategy), -Many of his tools and abilities were useless (MUDA) due to Jojo vampires being mostly superior to standard Hellsing vampires and the timestop, -Unable to inflict damage that DIO could not heal from (especially when Alucard sheds so much blood), =Never shown passive resistance to Mind-control (no illusions don't count)
DIO: +MASSIVE STAT ADVANTAGE (This is the big clincher for DIO's victory as it renders almost anything Alucard can do as useless, MUDA), +Can Heal from any damage Alucard can inflict (if not dodge it thanks to superior speed and time stop), +DIO has multiple forms of hypnosis that work at a distance, +Timestop is unfair, +Stands are unfair VS non-Stand users, +Had the firepower to destroy 3 million souls, +Much more proactive fighter, +Better strategist and more adaptable in fighting, -Less experience, -Arrogance is the big reason he usually loses to the Joestars, -Less ranged options, = Never shown resistance to mind-control
Side note: Yes while the exact stats are in some ways questionable, especially for DIO, the gap is not.
If the link doesn't show up then just type in Ultraguy Dio Versus Alucard QNA

Find it interesting nearly identical feats (literally uses Jotaro scenes) have diff “mathematical” outcomes. Went from almost the speed of light w/ Jotaro’s own scene & said 1500x that for Dio…
Jotaro literally has the same stand abilities & strength (minus the mask/vampire abilities).
Something isn’t adding up lol.

That bread bit was for a popular quote in season 1
"Tell me you bastard, how many lives have you drained to heal your wounds!?"
"I don't know, do you remember how much bread you've eaten in your life?"
Especially in the first 2-3 episodes.
yeah Alucard is basically unkillable post Schrodinger. It would probably be a stalemate forever, unless Dio slips up at some point.
and the argument that Dio would have hyptonized Alucard doesn't make sense, as Alucard can also hypnotize his opponents.

Smart, cute, loyal, big bazookas, hot peach, very tragic backstory, badass.

Rooted for Alucard when this fight originally aired. Still do...
lol "i cant cheer for dio" so true
This is an ideal time to mention that Team Four Star offers a "Hellsing Abridged" series. Perhaps up next after you finish DBZ Abridged?
Tbh that was such an unfair matchup, they don't even belong to the same realm in terms of abilities. Their only common point is the fact that they're both vampires.
Knowing the way Death Battle likes to powerscale and knowing DIO himself I think it's hard to go into this and think DIO could even lose conceptually. I'm glad my boy won but I definitely feel like Alucard could've put up a better fight than they gave him credit for.
Alucard is definitely stronger than what they stated, but not by much. The result is the same, but they really did lowball him
This is probably the one I’m most upset about the outcome. Even without the omnipresence Dio would have to kill Alucard what, a few million times? Why would Alucard EVER open himself up to let that happen? Dio straight up can’t kill him in time otherwise
Also not being able to use Schroedinger and his powers is bullshit cause it’s just the extra abilities he gets from souls, not his regular abilities.

Your telling me dio the guy who's gotten his ass kicked by buff dudes beats Alu-fucking-card? No I doubt it, their maths not mathing
Yeah. That’s because DIO is just that popular.
Let’s be honest here Alucard is the true vampire in this fight
Yh I absolutely hate DIO too but I had to come to terms that he’s is still a menace even when jojo’s has introduced other powerful characters
But he is a fun character to hate. And we just met him haha 😏
Unless I’m misremembering, Al getting stabbed through the heart in Level 0 was an illusion
@@Brobuscus101 Sort of, it was a clone, most likely a trick from Alahambra's play book, aka The Dandyman.

Defeating someone with just a head is pretty damn impressive 😯
they aren't, fans love to overwank them. Especially the Death Battle
eyes of heaven is cannon to itself and maybe the OVA due to the oil-tanker on the bridge instead of the road roller, in short it happens in another universe like the new JJBA parts (well 3 new universes to be exact if don't count the heaven realm).
Yes it's Cannon we know as funny valentine states he can visit any parallel universes which indicates are infinite of them @@vanconojl
Muda = Useless
Ora = Just manly gibberish
And another monster death battle your spooking it
👻😜
Great video like always, early morning with some coffee and this is definitely definitive of a good time😁Cheers and have a good day y'all!
dio's voice actor had a blast at the end with the wryyy!
Rechecking this due to boredom.
That works for us 🙂🥳
Hellsing Abridged would be a hilarious reaction after DBz Abridged and Touhou.
"Fuck that guy", I took that personally.
He past his ideals to pucci tho
Alucard is just amazing love him
Hellsing is a totally awesome manga/anime that you should definitely check out and will most likely love, even despite this spoiling some of the twists/best moments.
Dio is a great villain because he is really easy to hate 😛
It’s design is great and it’s redesign in the other JoJo universe is even better because then it gets some watches/clocks on its body to match the stopping time aspect.
i agree but coolest villain stand is either d4c or wonder of u, they got the drip
Great content as usual. You two should check out Tyranno's *"Symphogear is Dumb and I Love It"*
I’d seriously recommend taking a dive into JoJos, it’s one of the most popular manga and anime series’ globally and for good reason, with a run time of about 35 years the story and characters are truly something to experience
Sakuya vs Dio next.
@@Caldera01 fair enough
@@Caldera01 How did they lie about the cat? He literally had to get rid of everything else he had stored up just to be able to use it, that implies he can't have both at the same time. Even then, alucard literally doesn't physically compare to Dio and couldn't kill him if he wanted to. Even if we discuss hypnosis, dio is faster and would thus get his off first. Not dying to your opponent doesn't mean you win, it's a stalemate as they said.
MegaMan Death Battle Royale & Ragna vs Sol too.
Funny how they acknowledge Dio's strength but had Jotaro, who beat Dio canonically, lose to Guts.
Sick battle
😁🤟🤩
Alucard what kills absorbs it is the most terrifying thing in anime no matter how you tear it apart I think this is won by Alucar but the characters of jojojo are so good they are very strong
While I definitely recommend Hellsing Ultimate Abridged later down the line, there are two important things you should know going into it:
1) Much like DBZA, it's extremely rough right off the bat and gets much better later on.
They need to react to team four star of JoJo dio kills that dog in 4 different ways
Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro is a personal favorite
You thought Alucard would win...
KONO DIO DA!
Maybe we just hoped he would win 🤗
DanCo :)
Just off of the movies alone, my bet is on The Incredibles.
Loved it. Are you doing it in order? Not seen Yang vs Tifa yet.
We aren’t doing it in order. Heard not to do the rwby ones yet until after season 2 I think to avoid spoilers 🤔
Everyone saying to not react to Hellsing Ultimate Abridged until they're done with DBZA but guys, look at the calendar! This is the PERFECT time to react to it! It's not like HUA spoils anything in DBZA so why not do it now?
Poetic as always lovebirds........
At this point
Bethany just might become a dog loving hero called Canis Prima
Or a villain known as Fenris Soul-Claw, but either way
Both are cool no matter how you put it.
🐶 😎
Wait where in the show was it stated that Alucard can't absorb souls anymore after getting schrodinger? IIRC alucard just explained he had to kill his extra souls to regain his sense of self. I don't remember the show ever bothering with explaining more than that?
Please watch Hellsing abridged guys! It's awesome for the spooky season, they used to upload them yearly every Halloween
