Ramos is very clever player, rugby IQ very high, can fun fast, has some tricks in his arsenal, and he's cheeky too, I'm a big fan, he's MY favorite player.
With a Will Jordan almost always sidelined, Ramos was the best fullback of 2023 so far, by a fair margin.
Hugo Keenan was also superb.
If we could combine his attacking skills with Jaminet's boot and Dulin's jump under the high ball we would have the ultimate fullback...
I'm not gonna lie I'm a bit skeptical about his kicking game, he has a very precise kick but not very powerful and I noticed that when he's facing a team that kicks very well (Ireland and Leinster) he's often losing that battle and the team get under immense pressure.
As a Welsh supporter, I'm very envious of Ramos. He has his moments of madness, but his goal kicking is such a threat you cannot leave him out of an international team. The closest we have is Halfpenny who has nowhere near the attacking potency he has and I feel your team sets up well to negate his defensive fragilities. Looking forward to seeing the French go well tomorrow evening, I have you guys winning by 3
Well you're not wrong, but if you picture it all, Toulouse has some difficulties against Leinster, and France against Ireland these last days... Maybe it's not about Ramos. I think La Rochelle is not as good as Toulouse witch kicking but they beat Leinster everytime... Ramos is not the best kicker in the world, but he is a quite complete player, he often plays 10 for Toulouse... That's something. I think he is not the best 15, but he is a very good back

A chaos-type of player, that maybe France has too many with Jalibert and Penaud... but well, I'd rather this than the pre-Galtier era when chaos was almost forbidden.
