- The brutal scenes in this video reveal how war and hunger are always one of the biggest danger for the environment. John catches these wonderful birds for smoke-drying and takes them to his three children who live in the capital far away from his working place. The hyper-inflation caused by falling oil prices have driven the food prices in the country which depends to 98 percent on oil exports into unprecedented heights.

They are starving. What else is a man supposed to do to feed his children and himself? I agree it’s upsetting to see such beautiful creatures die in such a brutal way, but there are literally no other options! And no, starving to death is not an option.

The animals are there for survival, what else are they there for...I cant fathom how people think its inhumane to survive. Chicken, beef, whatever food is food. If someone dictates your rations. Eat this because you are a survivor I wouldn't worry about my rations being cut but people should be prepared incase they get threatened. Its happened before and it will happen again. Second, i admit i wasn't aware that it almost didn't look like a grill at all, but i have a question, how did he lit the campfire and got the coal used to lit it? For the price of coal you can buy a decent amount of cheap food on the market, isn't much but definetly helps in his situation.
Third, the wifi part wasn't related to his survival but that "posting" this video on youtube menst that he has it, but you explained it, and also, having access to the internet won't even help him.
Fourth, I tought the guy asked another one to film everything for him, i tought he was like one of those guys that makes survival documentaries or something, i was wrong in this one, but by the way the house looks, there is a chance that he maybe could have some basic infraestructure and "fancier" things.

You can use sticks and grass to make a fire instead of coal. Or you can used burned wood(charcoal) from the sticks and grass to use your grill.

You are right - it is poverty and hunger, often aggraviated by war that force people to do what I have shown in the video.
But also in the richer world we eat a lot of animals, chicken, turkeys, beef and lamb. Animals which have suffered not only at the end but during their whole life under often horrendous conditions in mass production animal factories.
Whoever has heard baby-lambs crying in a commercial lamb breeding factory will never order the steaks in a 5-star restaurant again. The ones of us who didn't hear it or never saw it - and this might be the majority of us - will just see a nice and tender piece of meat on a wonderful decorated plate in a high-class hotel or restaurant.
