The glass roof sucks in the heat of sub tropical Brisbane, Australia. Tesla’s inflexibility on some things that should be options are costing it sales. The sun roof and an absent HUD are obvious examples.

This looks like it COULD prevent the curtain airbags from deploying.. Cheap mesh or tint is a better option y'all.
This looks really good and well made. If I'd want to cover the glass top, this would be first on my list. However, the glass roof on its own does a very good job keeping IR/UV out - check the heat difference from direct sunlight coming through the glass roof and through the side windows on black seats. But if you want to block it 100%, this looks interesting.

They need the open roof for manufacturing purposes. It makes installing the internals easier when there’s a big gaping hole at the top. That’s why all Tesla vehicles have so much glass.
