When you're learning this piece you really got to take care of your hands. I kept daily practice time to a minimum and stopped as soon as my hands started feeling weird. I also did daily exercises for the muscles in the forearm and only practiced this song when I was already warmed up. This way it took me 5 months in total to learn, but I was also pain free. (I have to type a lot at work, so my hands and forearms can be quite sensitive.) Now I can play it without pain, but when I'm not warmed up it can still hurt a bit.

I wonder what the great's like Beathoven or Mozart would say to these modern mastrpieces... either way I will say this is my favorite song and that this is just pure art! and also I came here because I thought the original was simply not long enough.
Zachary Klump Beethoven would probably be like its good but not lit. To make it lit, he would probably play several variations over it starting with the plane original and then followed by several variations of it and then like it a lot.
Beethoven would definitely change the left hand. It's just so boring. Why does everybody like this piece so much? It's boring with way to much repetition.
Do you how know many 3 and 4 chord songs get to number 1? The human ear loves beautiful sounds. More notes doesnt make better music. Get off your high horse or do better.
leieva I didn't say that it doesn't sound beautiful. It does, but for my taste and I'm sure the taste of many others it's just way too repetitive. If you listened to any of Bernard Herrmann's scores, you would know that original and new harmonies (or chords, however you may call it) sound just as beautiful if not more beautiful. Mozart or Beethoven would not have liked this kind of music. Look at any of their music. It's not just the chord structures but also that there's no variation on them or at least on the way they're played.
Yours is the finest rendition of this song of the dozens I've heard on UA-cam, a true joy to listen to. As a retired professional pianist, I always find something worthy of constructive criticism ... not here! Played beautifully, exactly as I would play it myself (maybe better). Your ritardandos are exquisite,, and your pedal work masterful. Brava. I realize this video is 9 years old as I type, but hopefully you'll notice this comment, just a sincere admiration for your artistry.
Pfffff... I've played for like 8 years and stopped when I was 12. Now Im 29 and really trying to get back and start playing for years now but cant freakin get serious enough and do it. However, the more I watch piano videos the more I excited I am. Damn it.... HELp :D
This piece seems like it requires just the right touch at just the right moments to get the overall feeling right. I've heard it played by others with less of an emotive touch. This young lady seems to have gotten it just right.
I would love to play this to the woman of my dreams, but sadly after almost 10 years of playing piano in 2014 I broke my left arm, which slowly healed when I broke it again in 2015 and now Im unable to use it for precise tasks... Ive tried several times but it was just getting worse and worse so I gave up on it. Its been 4 years and Im still sad about it, but thankfully there are youtubers that share these amazing pieces with us so at least I can listen. :)

Left hand: YOU DONT GET TO REPEAT THE SAME DIFFICULT PATTERN OVER AND OVER FOR A FULL PIECE BRENDA
Edit: this piece is extremely easy for me I just wanted to make the joke.
ups, not anonymous anymore
Soooo true😂 I have the same struggle while playing this song😂
When you're learning this piece you really got to take care of your hands. I kept daily practice time to a minimum and stopped as soon as my hands started feeling weird. I also did daily exercises for the muscles in the forearm and only practiced this song when I was already warmed up.
This way it took me 5 months in total to learn, but I was also pain free. (I have to type a lot at work, so my hands and forearms can be quite sensitive.)
Now I can play it without pain, but when I'm not warmed up it can still hurt a bit.
Your right hand is called Brenda?
Theres actually a version with a simpler left hand pattern if u want to learn it the easy way first (sounds little empty but still beautyfull)
Bravo!
Meilleure version que j'ai trouvée !
Un grand bravo et un grand merci !
Comme tu as l'air de bien t'y connaitre, tu pourrais me dire ce que tu penses de ma version sur ma chaîne ? ua-cam.com/video/9QPY4tKTDN8M/v-deo.htmlerci beaucoup. Mathys
you play with so much feelings! I love!
The way you played it sounds exactly how Yann played it Bellissimo!
This song is literally so soothing. I discovered this song when my teacher was teaching my port de bras ballet dance, I love this so much 💕
hey! you won't see this , but i wanted to let you know how much this video means to me. This piece was the piece that pushed me to learn how to play the piano and after seeing your video like a million times i finally got into piano and actually learned it. i've been playing for 4 years now!

Best rendition I’ve ever heard , I’ve listen to this video maybe 1000 times, just love it so much
I love it too. I am trying to learn to play this but it is much harder than it looks!
Thanks for making this deep beatiful sounds with you fingers in the piano
I don't know how many times I've repeated this song every morning to start a day. This cover suits me better than the original one. Vielen Dank, Sophie!
Hey Paul,
could you check out my version of this song and tell me what you think?
Kind regard! :)
Best piano reproduction of the original in the entire UA-cam videos. Really well done 👍
Verei 1000 vezes e sentirei a mesma emoção! Maravilhoso.
Sem dúvidas, ela faz tua alma falar pra ti: acalma teu coração.
back again...I honestly cant find anyone on youtube that plays this song more beautifully than you...I so appreciate this video...love you mom
I would be so happy if I could play this for my girlfriend but there are two problems
I don‘t have a girlfriend and I can‘t play this
Thank you lots for your nice comments guys and for 2,5k likes
Boys Vlog mood

I was like you two years ago, but in my case I succeed and she fell even more in love whit me, now I cant wait to play it againg in our wedding.
play for a nice girl, if she really your type she will love it and appriciate it . this song is for your future girlfriend
I have no piano
Thank you! I have always wanted to learn this version, but could not find any information on it. Watching your fingering really helped!
+Feng Jesse ...
+Nickw00t ?
Watching your fingering.... You couldn't just say watch you play...
Nickw00t play is too vague.
fingering is too ambiguous.
At first I couldn’t get my left and right hand synchronized, but after a few practice i can finally play it! It is actually not as difficult as it seems. Nothing is impossible guys, the word itself says “i’m possible!” Keep on practicing, believe in yourself and you’ll be satisfied!❤️
Great piece......great execution.....this song make My think in Many things of My life
So beautifully played... btw which piano is this??? It sounds amazing..
Clavinova CLP-535 Yamaha.. at least for me it seems like the model I'm describing
Clavinova Yamaha CLP-430
it's a music man jp majesty monarchy 6
Alisson yup agree... looks like the CLP-430 to me too
Gorsedh Gorsedh wtf it’s obv Yamaha
GREAT! I always found this piece too short! Love the way you lengthened it!!
Listen to 1:38. This little note is sooo often forgotten by so many pianists. This is simply perfect.
I wonder what the great's like Beathoven or Mozart would say to these modern mastrpieces...
either way I will say this is my favorite song and that this is just pure art! and also I came here because I thought the original was simply not long enough.
I am working on an improv l,onger version as well. this is NOT an easy piece to play WELL
Zachary Klump Beethoven would probably be like its good but not lit.
+CelinaOkafor *In *spielst
Yours is the finest rendition of this song of the dozens I've heard on UA-cam, a true joy to listen to. As a retired professional pianist, I always find something worthy of constructive criticism ... not here! Played beautifully, exactly as I would play it myself (maybe better). Your ritardandos are exquisite,, and your pedal work masterful. Brava.
I realize this video is 9 years old as I type, but hopefully you'll notice this comment, just a sincere admiration for your artistry.
I love this song and it's a very beautiful interpretation. Thanks, Sophie.
Apaixonante....
Gostei muito da sua performance...
Parabéns...
I was searching this for so long, this sound is better than in original soundtrack, my inner audiophile says thanks to you!
Pfffff... I've played for like 8 years and stopped when I was 12. Now Im 29 and really trying to get back and start playing for years now but cant freakin get serious enough and do it. However, the more I watch piano videos the more I excited I am. Damn it.... HELp :D
I play since 2019 November I have two covers of my favorites songs lol
@@alyssakaewsuk Good job progressing. Im not as committed I suppose.
You nailed it!! Mesmerizing!!
It makes me cry, baby.. Why it so saaad
It makes me literally cry..
WaifuRacer be more careful with that arm !
That’s so sad
Oh no
This piano melody reminds me of 2 years ago when I was flight attendant. So tired and busy but it was priceless experience.
The weather is rainy,
And it this plays music.
What more could it be?

I love this song.... So much!
Simplemente maravilloso
Amazing. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing this performance.
Beautiful.. This is the best cover iv ever heard..its so soothing.. gives you so much peace of mind.. :) Good Luck. Cheers..
Atlon Abdiu Adj. 1. soothing - affording physical relief; "a soothing ointment for her sunburn", 2. soothing - freeing from fear and anxiety
have you seen the cover by Kyle Landry? this guy takes the song to the next level!!! look for it and thank me later :D
uh..yea...he was the inspiration to start mastering this :D Luckily i do
I'm 15 and I also played Comptine d'un autre été on my channel, it would help if you could check it out!

WOW.. I just came across this. Hard to believe you uploaded this when I was 5 :) I love your interpretation. It's beautiful!
I learned the whole large version of this song from this video ! Thank u so much
So beautiful ❤️❤️ Great work. I love it
Your play has some kind of calming character. I must say that i am in love with the way you play. The tones hit very deep inside and they drag my feelings to go along with this song, with its ups and downs.
And by the way, the color of your piano is beautifull :)

You're welcome :) SophieLaMelody
very emotional / très emotionelle
This version is my favorite. Sounds just perfect! Can already play the basic part but am now adding some (can't do all because just started learning piano) of your interpretations :)
I have watch it over and over again. Thank you a lot, the way you played it touched my heart. You are an amazing human being
