nope. the movie was light hearted and fun to watch. definitely the kind of movie that u want to watch after a long and stressful week. just bring your family and loved ones and remembering your childhood fantasies.

Boring songs, bland lead performance, campy comedy that doesn't work, and a plot that's more Charles Dickens than Roald Dahl. Not a worthy companion to the original classic film.

You are just hating and cant handle change! It does not link directly to the other movies, i agree! But it is a nice movie and somehow little by little tells the back story of how he became the chocolatier
@@309electronics5 It's a boring story, pitting Wonka's perfect little friends against some cliched villains. Nothing like the original movie, which was about how we're all susceptible to temptation and mistakes. Would've been much better if Wonka actually experienced failure through his own mistakes, and then learned how to do things better. Wonka didn't even find his own factory here, someone else found it for him, LOL.
