@@sad_soju hmm.. maybe you needed to remeasure the width of the waist of the skirt and match it on the waist band before sewing the tail part of it. Also, you can DM me a picture of the part with the problem and that way i can see and help you solve this problem ☺️☺️

I just made the pattern according to my measurements and followed what was explained in the video but it didn’t fit around the waist. I only just realised after re-watching the video that she has the fabric folded over when she cuts the pattern out so that it becomes a full circle skirt with a split but it isn’t explained in the video. So make sure your fabric is folded over when you cut out your pattern!

Hi! This took less than 3yds i believe. Just make sure the fabric is no less than 58” wide since you’ll be cutting on fold that way you can also play with length incase you decide to make it longer.. lmk how it goes! 😍 and omg Happy Birthday! 🎉🎂🎈

When in doubt, try it on a scrap of fabric first. Note: Cut about 1” along the weft and you just start ripping it apart. 😉😉 you’ll end up with a straighter weft edge than cutting it with scissors. Hehe you got this, boo!!

She wanted it to overlap 4inches past the centre front on the inside as well...provides more coverage so you don't have to worry if the wrap opens a bit.
@@chenelleboodoo3462 That doesn't make sense though. That would still make it an 8" overlap since you're just adding 2 x 4" to the existing circumference.
@@mostas it has to be doubled because i wanted 4” to overlap on the left and also 4” to overlap on the Right panel of the front skirt. So if you were to look at the skirt ON me you should be able to measure 4” of fabric from CF to the opening of the Left and another 4 from CF to the Right panel of the skirt. Hopefully this helps. Only adding 4 would mean you would only have 2” of coverage on each side of the skirt. 🙂

Only difference for the skirt is that you’ll be attaching the waisband to the entire skirt piece instead of only the back (like shown in the pants on the video i linked). Hopefully this helps? I measured my waist and added 8” that way it overlaps at the front when you wrap it around your waist ☺️
